With President Barack Obama slumping in the popularity polls this week, I thought I’d look to the nation of South Africa to lift America’s leadership spirit.
South Africa had a horrid past to overcome. Racism and greed was the country’s biggest demon to move on past into a new world and a better future. It was once full of unspeakable hatred. But let’s talk about America today.
President Obama has inherited the worst deficit of any president in US history as a result of the last government’s greed. He also has been a target of racism this week too, so perhaps South Africa’s ability to rise up with redeeming hope provides an answer forward for America.

Barack Obama is rewriting the way that USA’s presidential leaders approach their historical foes. Instead of being snobby and not dialoging with a ‘superiority complex’, Obama has shown he wants to be a leader that all world leaders can dialogue with.
In fact if he was writing a novel based on his actions in foreign affairs policy, it would probably be a romance novel called Love Your Enemies. He’s very smart. Obviously – China and India are two. Both nations = 1/3 of the world’s population.
How can we help America emerge? How can we create inroads into new markets to help America get out of a recession faster? Your brain power is needed!!! Let’s work!
Apart from Hollywood Entertainment News, there are things that are just a tad bit more important in the world. Like… fixing the state of the global economy and the future of our children and grandchildren and their children to come. What greater calling is upon us all than that? If Entertainment can provide light relief in between a globalized focus of repair, then it is useful. If it can convey key messages that help our future, then entertainment and the entertainment industry has shown wisdom in realigning with the relevancy of the times in which we all live. This must be our goal, not only in Hollywood but all around the world. When leaders speak, we must listen. I am. Hope you are too.

From where I sit, there’s a few things that caught my attention this week as the world spins us into the future.
Firstly, it has to be said, that Barack Obama is quite a dude, in having the guts to unravel and sort out, the tangled mess that he inherited to fix in his first term as US President. Okay, that’s the within-the-US-shores presidential butt kiss, out of the way! But the man’s a political rock-star!

China makes up a 6th of the world’s population. But who ever knew they were that nosy! Why is the Dalai Lama such a threat to China? Isn’t this a sign of a very guilty conscience on a matter of wrongful conquer by the Chinese of another man’s rightful kingdom? If you were Chinese Intelligence, wouldn’t you rather hack Lucy Liu’s computer for her private pics instead? Just kidding! But leave the Dalai Lama alone. Why are Chinese people censored, in watching YouTube from their government, when the Chinese government are hacking everyone’s computers the world over. Shouldn’t government officials, let the Chinese people watch on their computers what they want to? Come on Big Brother China, play it out, a bit more fair now, then your people won’t revolt, like you currently fear. Just sayin!
Timothy Geithner: Geez guys, why do I have the tough job?
US Treasury secretary Timothy Geithner was sent to pimp it out for America this week, to a meeting of world financial leaders and the world bank… here’s what he said:
‘the global economy is in a “challenging period” and that the crisis is “still evolving”… ‘economic recovery in the United States depends on its companies’ access to “open and growing economies” globally. Geithner said the U.S. recovery “will be stronger if the world is stronger.”
Word! Now let’s show more respect to other nations outside of American shores, if we are appealing to them for their money, to then access… to help save America as well as their corners of the world. That’s a good start, perhaps. In this round of press, Geithner admits that America is no longer ‘big brother’ but is in the same economic boat in order to survive the financial crises of the global recession, like any other developed nation. Nice persuasive skills Tim! All nations must pony up. Word!
