I’m reposting this. Have you voted yet for Milford Sound. Please do. It is one of the 7 wonders of the world to travel to. Vote now. Thanks.
Although today’s news glory should belong to Sonia Sotomayor, the first confirmed Hispanic, Supreme Court Justice of America; it is the topless leaked pictures of a tween actress with a new film to promote; a betrayed bachelorette and the unstoppable rising young stars of Twilight Saga’s Eclipse who round out the top 10 most sought after entertainment news topics on Horiwood.Com today.
If there is one thing that maintaining a blog from Hollywood has taught me, blog numbers don’t lie. They show another side to democracy as the people and the masses vote each day with their mouse clicks and news choices.
From Hollywood tonight, enjoy your news choices you all made worldwide. Thank you all for being a part of Horiwood.Com for 7 months now. Let’s keep this show going always with a spirit of fun and a sense of play! :)
Congratulations Sonia Sotomayor!!! How cool and inspiring is she?! Well done. Wow!!!
Like Sonia Sotomayor’s inspiring achievements show us in #11 and Rich’s story shows us in #12 tonight; let hope and persistence arise in us all. What doesn’t kill us makes us stronger and it will get better!
Hope and faith are powerful. They are the fuel to sustain us through tough times.
Thanks Sonia and Rich for fueling all of our dreams today.
HE’S AN OVERCOMER: RICH RETURNS TO WALKING AND SURFING – ONE MAN’S REHABILITATION FROM CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME
This is an amazing story. My childhood friend Richard (Rich), has been battling with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (also known as Tapanui Flu and M.E) a rare form of perpetual flu-like symptoms, that threatens to keep someone continually exhausted. This has been Rich’s battle for more then a fair few years now.
Before he fell ill, I always remember rich as weightlifting and surfing the awesome waves of New Zealand and helping out peeps in need. Rich had recently been bedridden for 14 years with just enough strength each down to be spoon fed a meal by his folks and go to the bathroom. 95% of the time his body needed to rest before he could eat again.
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a disease that medical scientists are still finding a cure for. They have a partial cure now. Due to Medicine’s partial cure, Rich has been learning how to walk again and he even got out on his surf board again for a paddle.
These photos kind of made me cry! It’s amazing to see courage in a friend, rise up with hope. There are no odds too great. If you believe, you will overcome any obstacle, even when what is thrown your way, does not seem right or fair.
What a miracle and we are all so proud of Rich’s progress and courage. To donate to the M.E foundation go here. Click on the donate button on the right tab. Thank you all for giving from your hearts today!
And Rich – you’re one of our heroes. Stay strong Mr.
Rich is pictured here in Whangaparoa, New Zealand, which is home to some of the best ecologically sound scenic beaches in the world. Whangaparoa Harbour is one of the stunning beaches along Auckland City’s Hibiscus Coast. Whangaparoa has a golf course with some of the prettiest scenic views from the green known to golfers worldwide. It’s where golfer, Tiger Woods sometimes plays when he’s down under in New Zealand with his Kiwi caddie. But let’s get back to Rich’s amazing story.
True to form, Rich hopes to make a full recovery. He sees his future as being based in Africa feeding the poor in the third world. What a guy! You go fellah!
Brad Pitt is #9
She’s beaten out The Pope and Barack Obama today as a news topic of interest. Q’orianka Kilcher, the actress who is perhaps best suited to play Leah Clearwater in the Twilight Saga’s Eclipse film is smoking hot news in Young Hollywood today on Horiwood.Com. There’s just no stopping her. Amazing!
As voted by you, worldwide, here’s your Top 10 news picks today. Enjoy!
Whoever would have thought that homegrown, heirloom tomatoes would rate on Horiwood.Com? Not me! Miss Elliette’s tomatoes have the magic touch.
Read #6. Too funny!
Mt Manaia is in Whangarei, New Zealand. The beautiful country of New Zealand is where HBO’s True Blood’s Anna Paquin hails from. It’s a very pretty country.
New Zealand’s landscapes are more Twilight’s “Forks” (lush, green native forests with oustanding coastlines) than the New Orleans, swampy landscapes of True Blood TV series. New Zealand is stunning. It’s also where the Hercules and Xena TV series and The Lord of The Rings (Oscar winning trilogy) were filmed.
If David Slade, director of Twilight Saga’s Eclipse, went location hunting in New Zealand, he would just never return to Hollywood. He would just die of happiness and ecstatic joy in all of the pretty! New Zealand is a cinematographer’s dream, but you can be a part of it.
New Zealand is Hollywood famous. The country has 4.5 million people, including the Maori people of New Zealand (nicknamed “horis”) of which I am one of them in Hollywood. You’ve got to see and experience some of New Zealand in your lifetime! You will love it.
If you’ve ever wanted to rock climb or hike a mountain with the most picaresque views of land and sea, then you’ll appreciate Mt Manaia a lot. To find out more about Whangarei City go here. To choose an airline to fly there, go here.
If you’ve never seen the sun set on One Tree Hill in Cornwall Park, then I thoroughly recommend that you see it at least once in your lifetime. To find out where One Tree Hill is in New Zealand and plan a trip to its summit in the #1 most ecologically friendly tourist destination in the world, go here.
It’s also known as make out hill, and the love hill. It’s where my daddy proposed to my mom. How romantic!!!
Super rock group, U2, also famously wrote a song about it too. Check it out and happy traveling to the best travel spots in the world! :)
The Waitakere ranges of New Zealand are so beautiful. If you are an avid hiker, a scenic traveller or a lover of the Xena and Hercules TV series, then you’ll love the natural beauty of the Waitakere Ranges.
It is where Xena and Hercules TV shows were filmed. It’s also where my Maori (hori) ancestors, The Ngati Whaatua tribe, have ran around for centuries hunting and gathering amongst the native carpet of vast, green flora and fauna delights set in this stunning forrest.
Nature’s playground is so pretty in The Waitaks. You are surrounded on all sides by billion dollars views. That’s got to be good for ya in your lifetime, right?! To travel and plan a health-conscious hiking vacation there (flying Air New Zealand, of course) go here. :)

New Zealand is a beautiful country. It’s the #1 getaway destination to travel to at least once in your lifetime to replenish the body and senses. Make sure you do. Here’s a pic of Mitre Peak reflected in the tranquil waters of the Milford sound in New Zealand. It’s both healing and therapeutic to be there.
With Patrick Swayze and Farrah Fawcett both battling cancer, as well as Pa Lou Davis Snr recently passing from the disease too, it’s so important to give to others from both nature’s beauty and also out of our pockets to help find a cure for cancer.
