MUSIC AS SANCTUARY – SUSAN BOYLE OF SCOTLAND SPEAKS

Boyle was America’s fastest falling celebrity name this year. Who cares, she’s alright by me. SuBo has sold 12 million albums worldwide and is reportedly worth $11 million. Perhaps indicating that Simon Cowell is taking a little too much of a cut as her manager? It’s not like Susan Boyle is spending all of her dosh on plastic surgery for example–so clearly Boyle hasn’t received enough of her own earnings to date.

GLEE’S ROCKY HORROR TRIBUTE LIVE AND SUSAN BOYLE FOR A SCOTTISH CHRISTMAS CAMEO
The cast of Glee are in hot demand being the musical campus of Amerian telly entertainment.
Matthew Morrison and Lea Michele took a break from performing for the cameras to perform live for an audience in LA. They did Damnit Janet from the Rocky Horror Picture Show, at an event thrown by The Painted Turtle org at the El Capitaine Theater in Los Angeles. They snogged at the end of the number. And in other Glee news, the long-awaited appearance of Scottish YouTube sensation, Susan Boyle is going to hit American audiences like a good Scottish pud, when SuBo makes a cameo for their Christmas special.

Or so, People Magazine US thinks, to sell a magazine this week.
For the record, the Scotts are some of the most least anxiety-ridden people in the world. They laugh too much as a culture for starters. We can learn from that. Laughter is the anxiety buster, in often over-prescribed and over-medicated America.
More comedians and real stars like SuBo are needed to rid the world of anxiety. You know it!

NEW MUSIC: HELPING HAITI EVERYBODY HURTS
As reported, UK Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, asked Simon Cowell, to produce a charity music track for Haiti. Cowell chose REM‘s Everybody Hurts for the track.
Mariah Carey, Leona Lewis, Susan Boyle, Kylie Minogue, Rod Stewart are on the track. Robbie Williams sounds amazing on it.
The song could have done with some Andrae Crouch vocal direction for the song’s finale. Andrae is the singer, who co-created the vocal arrangements of Man In the Mirror for Michael Jackson. Everybody Hurts lacks the big finale and uplfit, utilizing all of the voices involved that Crouch could have given the song, but I still like it and it is for a good cause. A nice effort from Cowell and friends.

AMY WINEHOUSE IS CATWOMAN TO SUSAN BOYLE’S CAT LADY
Sending a shout out to the world from the UK, in only a way that Amy Winehouse can, The Sun is reporting that Winehouse now has 13 cats running around her London apartment.
A source tells the Sun: “She loves cats but doesn’t know when to stop. Controlling that many is proving to be a disaster…. Her friends are calling her Catwoman now because they’re everywhere.”
Sounds like Winehouse is giving the UK’s famous Cat Lady and break out star, Susan Boyle of Scotland, a run for her money while also throwing Winehouse’s musical audiences weight and support behind the Scottish songstress too… with this kitty cat reference.
Nice one Amy! UK’s reigning queen of The Grammys is looking after Britain’s new Scottish Queen of song. When all is said and done about Amy Winehouse, she is kinda sweet really.

Simon Cowell would even sell his own mother and her cat to make a buck. He’s not a top agent/ manager of music artists for nothing.
Anyway… the latest is that Susan Boyle even has “cat lady” branding and merchandizing up for grabs. If you are a fan of SuBo, go to her online store to order this tee shirt.
These are bound to be a big hit with the millions of I Can Has Cheezburger cat-crazed online-audience in the world.
Online viral marketing is the secret to SuBo’s success, so this is a smart move from the Cowell camp. Who would have thought that Boyle’s Scottish kitty cat, Pebbles, would have been able to churn out a million dollars of merchandizing for Boyle and Cowell. That’s amazing. :)
LADY GAGA IS A BIG SUSAN BOYLE FAN
Sometimes the smartest thing two new divas can do to take on the established star system, is to develop a fan crush on each other’s talent and music. Lady Gaga has done just that by naming Susan Boyle her woman of the year.
The Sun, UK is reporting Gaga saying: “I love Susan Boyle. She is my woman of the year. She has achieved more in this year than most artists will in a lifetime.
“This time last year nobody even knew who she was and now she is knocking the world’s most established artists off the album and singles charts.
“Our styles are different. I don’t know if we could work together, but never say never. It would be great to work with somebody of that talent.”
“I have watched the clip of her singing on Britain’s Got Talent a thousand times and every time I see Simon Cowell‘s face it makes me laugh out loud. He thinks he knows everything but even he wasn’t expecting that.”
Lady Gaga’s comments about Susan Boyle are very gracious. They are comments that could describe herself and her own massive trajectory this year as a superstar.

SUSAN BOYLE HAS ALMOST SOLD 3 MILLION ALBUM COPIES
Who says that cat ladies who sing of Wild Horses don’t rule the world, because they do!
Susan Boyle has almost sold 3 million copies of her album, I Dreamed a Dream, and with half a week in sales left to go, Nielsen Soundscan report that Boyle has a shot at overtaking Taylor Swift‘s Fearless album for #1 selling album of the year. In her fifth week of sales Boyle moved 510,000 copies this past week. Wow!
Of course, the cunning Taylor Swift has repackaged fearless three times (yawn!) and dated and then dumped a teen Twilight werewolf actor (Taylor Lautner) to shimmy her way to #1 in sales. Boyle has yet to begin the ‘repackaging process’ and she’s dated nobody to sell her music.
Queen Susan of Scotland forever. She’s ferosh! She’s the unknown horse, dark outsider, that bolted her way to the top of the music world. Love her!

SIMON COWELL WILL EXIT AMERICAN IDOL IN 2010
Radar Online is reporting, that Simon Cowell will be exiting American Idol at the end of 2010.
Now that Cowell is a household American and British talent show judge, a proven manager of already talented singers he sites on the shows he appears on, he can safely leave American Idol.
Cowell has Susan Boyle’s fame in his hands, Boyle being the biggest selling female artist on the planet in history for a debut album. He also has Leona Lewis, who before Boyle was the UK’s biggest selling debut artist also. Simon only appeared on a talent show, to best be situated to nab the best talent emerging in the world, and sign to his own company to manage their careers. He’s sort of bored with that now.
What will Cowell do next. My prediction is that Simon Cowell perhaps will partner with Oprah Winfrey to create talent shows. Oprah has partnered with Tyler Perry to executive produce films. She also will partner with Cowell to produce talent shows. What a winning combo for both Winfrey and Cowell to create the next wave of talent in the world. Global domination is ahead for these two from the West.
SUSAN BOYLE 35th BIGGEST STAR IN HOLLYWOOD 2009
Susan Boyle, the woman from Scotland who had the courage to live her dream, despite being the antithesis of Hollywood imaging, rates as the 35th brightest star in Hollywood, only one ranking short of magazine cover ready, Taylor Swift.
Singing since the age of 12, Susan Boyle told the X-Factor talent show’s cameras that she was “going to make the audience rock.” That she did!

SUSAN BOYLE RULES ALBUM SALES AT CHRISTMAS
America is mad for Susan Boyle‘s uniquely plain brand of Wild Horses dreamy songs this Christmas. There’s just no stopping this Scottish diva on the album charts.
Boyle is expected to sell another 500,ooo or more albums next week. She will be double-platinum within a month. Wow!
Andrea Bocelli is #2 with his My Christmas album. The amazing Alecia Keys is #3 with The Element of Freedom. Keys is projected to sell 350,000 albums.
America’s white soul crooner Robin Thicke is #4 with a new album called Sex Therapy. Aptly titled in light of the Tiger Woods news of late.
All four albums are well worthy of buying this Christmas. What a great line up.

SUSAN BOYLE PLAYS SANTA TO SONY, SIMON COWELL, WILD HORSES AND US ALL THIS CHRISTMAS
Susan Boyle‘s I Dreamed A Dream cd with that very popular Wild Horses song on it has outsold most albums this year.
Sony Music Entertainment, are so ecstatic with their Scottish lassie’s haulings in worldwide that they might even consider throwing in this hot crochet pattern for a Santa hat for wild horses–courtesy of Debbie K–with each album purchase from here on in until Christmas. (joking!)
Seriously though, Boyle has sold 527,000 copies in the week ending December 6, according to Nielsen SoundScan. If you add this to the 702,000 copies the album sold in week 1, makes a total of 1.2 million to date.
Of course Susan being Susan says this to News Scotsman: “It’s been bloody fantastic. Pretty moving, really, because it’s a chance for me to prove, really, what I’m capable of.”
Who knows what this woman is capable of! Boyle’s album is now officially one of this year’s top 10 bestselling albums. She continues to inspire us all, just by being her natural and slightly nutty self. What a result.
Adds Susan to the Scotsman: “All I can say is thank you very much for those who supported me and I hope you enjoy the album.”

SCOTLAND’S SUSAN BOYLE MOVES OVER 1 MILLION COPIES OF DEBUT ALBUM
No surprises here. Susan Boyle of Scotland is expected to sell over a million copies of her debut album, I Dreamed A Dream featuring that Wild Horses song on it.
An album of mainly covers, moving over a million units in its first week? Not bad at all for Ms. Susan Boyle who represents the pin up girl of ‘never judge a book by her cover’ to us all. Appearances are always deceptive, love in one’s heart is always much more powerful to give to the world as Boyle exemplifies when she sings.
Of course, Simon Cowell is licking his cream covered chops, that SuBo agreed to sign on with him, even though clearly Boyle’s 60 million youtube fans, had watched her perform and were already firmly in her Scottish bagpipes bag. Without Simon’s further help. Although Cowell can’t sing at all, he is a master at intimidating a true talent, belittling them to make them feel like they then need him. This is how he has made his money in show biz. But in fairness, Simon also has good ideas to add to the mix.

SIMON COWELL TO AIR A SUSAN BOYLE THIS IS IT DOCUMENTARY
Simon Cowell is that little British man, who convinced America that he could spot talent. The truth is, talent already has talent before they ever even meet Cowell. Simon capitalizes on an artists talent to remain a fat cat. He’s extremely convincing at it.
Entertainment Tonight reports that Cowell wants to turn Scottish singing sensation, Susan Boyle‘s life story into a Michael Jackson-esque This Is It styled documentary with the TV Guide Network. Simon (or his stand in, not allowed any credit person) has actually made the doco already.
TV Guide Network will premiere the film called I Dreamed a Dream: The Susan Boyle Story on December 13 at 8 p.m.
The doco better star Susan’s cat Pebbles in the lead role with Susan, as Boyle’s talent blossomed as she sung everyday alone around her Scottish apartment singing to Pebbles the cat, and not Cowell. I joke! But the doco should. This is the story of a forgotten cat lady who got discovered when she put herself in a talent show and her voice changed the world. (more…)
