CLEAN DRINKING WATER FOR ALL

1 Fact: 1 billion people do not have clean drinking water. Where: Africa and India are most affected.

The threat: More people are lost in the world through this situation than war.

The solution: We can make a difference through UNICEF Tap Project. If you want to, please do.

True fact 2: For as little as $10, one person can have clean drinking water for a lifetime.

That’s like a beer at a Hollywood club with the tip. Amazing aye! Act. Bump this post on too. Let’s flow. :)

KEO SPORTS WEBSITE, BIG BEASTS OF THE GAME AND SOUTH AFRICA’S RUGBY NEWS COVERAGE

Rugby football news coverage in South Africa today doesn’t get much better than Keo.Co.Za. Here’s the latest scoop on what’s happening with The Boks. Already I’m liking Keo. A sports website that’s quite blunt.

‘The Springboks failed to make any progress on their end-of-year tour. Is Victor Matfield too conservative to be Bok captain? The All Blacks capped off an outstanding 2010 with their third Grand Slam in five years. The Wallabies were frustratingly inconsistent on their end-of-year tour. If England are to seriously challenge for the World Cup, they will have to stand up to the big beasts of the game. Behind the swagger lies a secret diary that is driving England wing Chris Ashton to new heights.’

Just some of the newsy stories on Keo’s sports news agenda today. Kia Ora South Africa in the Hollywood Horiwood Haus. Haere mai – Welcome.

BATHS BUTCH JAMES EYES UP DEFENDING RUGBY’S WORLD CUP FOR SOUTH AFRICA 2011

Say it isn’t true? An international footballer is thinking of turning down lucrative sporting contract monies to play rugby football for his own home nation? This appears to be the case with Butch James.

RUGBY NEWS: ‘Bath first five eighth Butch James has confirmed he will leave Bath and the Aviva Premiership to return home to South Africa and push his claims for a World Cup berth.

James has been with Bath for the last four seasons, and earlier this year he and the club had denied that he would return home.

However the 31-year-old will likely leave with two years left on his contract, and while Bath would prefer him to stay at the club, they have stated they will not stand in the way of their star number ten.

It is unknown which South African side will snap him up.’ If he is snapped by the Springboks rugby team, here in America Universal/ Comcast will telecast Butch James in The Rugby World Cup live across America for our entertainment. Stay tuned for that. Even better jump on a plane and experience The Cup sporting event go down live. Too much fun.

NELSON MANDELA HELPED NAME CELINE DION’S TWIN SONS

Canada is so proud of Celine Dion and all she’s done in the world. Hello! Canada gave Dion a 20 page spread with husband Renee, son Rene-Charles and two month old twin boys Eddy and Nelsen. The HuffPo writes words about the singer’s expanding family:

“Dion, who with husband Rene Angelil has a nine-year old son named named Rene-Charles, spent years trying to get pregnant again, going through IVF treatments and suffering a miscarriage. So the couple wanted to give the twins meaningful names. We met with Nelson Mandela and spent some time with him at his house when we started Celine’s world tour,” Rene said. “Eddy is a homage to Eddy Marnay,” said Rene, referring to the songwriter that wrote Dion’s first five albums and died a few years ago.”

Nelsen is of course, Mandela’s namesake.

Cute story.

TOP COACH GRAHAM HENRY AND SOUTH AFRICA’S RUGBY FOOTBALL BEST SPORTS AWARDS NEWS

[Richie McCaw one of Graham Henry's players for the New Zealand All Blacks Rugby Football team always shines with football in hand. Image courtesy of Getty Images]

SOUTH AFRICA SPORTS NEWS: “New Zealand’s impact on the rugby year has been reflected from an unlikely South African source. The influential rugby website keo.co.za has given New Zealand top honors in its annual sports awards.

Graham Henry was awarded the coach of the year, the All Blacks scooped the team of the year, Richie McCaw was the player of the year and Sonny Bill Williams picked up a ‘Living up to the Hype’ award. That’s too awesomery.

Henry was favored over John Plumtree for his work with the Sharks in winning the Currie Cup and Frans Ludeke for his second Super 14 trophy with The Bulls.

“Internationally, there was only one coach in 2010. Graham Henry will be disappointed with the loss to Australia in Hong Kong, a defeat that halted the All Blacks’ march towards the world record for the most consecutive Test wins. On the other hand, the All Blacks went undefeated in the Tri Nations and cruised to yet another Grand Slam,” the website said.

The All Blacks were confirmed by the judges as the trend setters of world rugby. Of course. They’re hosting the World Cup 2010 so that’s like calling a rugby football a rugby football. Figures really.

“Some suggest that they’ve peaked, but the All Blacks have struck an intimidating balance between running, kicking and mustering the physicality needed to quell traditional powerhouses like South Africa and England,” they said.

While acknowledging that Port Elizabeth born, Schalk Burger was the South African player of the year, the judges lamented that he wasn’t even the second-best Test flanker in 2010. That person was David Pocock, but even he was not close to the judges’ winner McCaw.

“In a year where a fetcher’s prominence was supposedly limited, McCaw retained his game-swinging penchant for dominating the breakdowns. As long as he’s fit the All Blacks’ threat is enhanced.” (nb: Hey Fluffy! As much jogging as posing then.)

CASSIUS CLAY’S “IN YOUR FACE TEE SHIRT” FOR BASKETBALL GAMES AND RUGBY FOOTBALL TRAINING SESSIONS

Looking after Hollywood’s future box office stars, with unique stories for the world, for California economy’s interests is what this blog post is about. Keeping such stars alive, could prove to be a challenge–hence this post.

Wow! Cassius Clay‘s In Your Face official tee shirt, in military khaki green issue, would make a great tee shirt to wear to basketball hoop games on the local block of Australia with mates or at rugby football, rugby league matches and Aussie rules football practice too each week.

I discovered it, on this post about innocent Australian young fella Daniel Assange of Melbourne. Go here to buy it for $19..99 to impress your friends and family, and make your hood a little bit more colorful and fun–like how a community of sporting champions, roll and celebrate cool people.

Daniel’s precious life and youthful potential is currently being threatened and bullied when he’s an innocent Australian young person of the world. Shocking stuff! This tee shirt is very relevant in New Zealand and Australia right at this second as well as All-ways Being relevant in American hoods and South Africa hoods too equally any day of the year. It’s a symbol of greatness and fairness, apparently.

MAORI YOUNG PEOPLE SHINE AT MAWHERA MINERS COMMEMORATIVE CEREMONY, NEW ZEALAND

A celebrity is someone whose life is worthy of being celebrated–new culture’s kaupapa (or principle).

In the bonds of love we meet–New Zealand’s national anthem

Love is healing and recovering honestly and openly together, acknowledging life, loss, past present and future in community together. Grieving the ugly and celebrating the beauty of what each life gifts community is growing up in love too as a nation–watch this clip.

Greymouth Miners Remembrance Ceremony Footage is supplied by Te Karere Maori News reporting live from Mawhera, Te Wai Pounamu, Aoteroa New Zealand. This news footage denotes the magnitude felt by community across the board in this coast township.

I like the interview which shows variation in Maori dialectical variations of New Zealand’s indigenous peoples own unique diversity between Irena Smith and Kathleen of Mawhera. We call it Nga Mita o Te Reo (dialects). The interview shares the story of grief’s depths. My favorite part of the footage is the young people of Mawhera singing in Maori to lift the spirits of the grieving. Maori young people are so special. Such good kids, putting aside their own grief for friends and family to find the strength and grace to encourage others. They are descendants of people who have been doing this in Mawhera for many centuries.

As a Kiwi who lives in Hollywood I find all the words in English equally as important and moving as the words in Te Reo Rangatira (the language of Chiefs). Enjoy this very special view–a cultural treasure of New Zealand as new culture grows and develops alongside these Maori young people’s development that the nation of New Zealand speaks of in the copy below. Powerful stuff. Mawhera young people are Hollywood stars today on this blog, just because they are. Alright–we need to upgrade these kids with funding to get some swanky new cultural uniforms for performing on such global occasions I think and make them a little bit of a priority. A fine effort from these young leaders.

The following news coverage story is via English NTDTV: Memorial services were held in Greymouth, New Zealand, for the 29 miners who perished in an accident at the Pike River coal mine last month. A two-minute moment of silence was observed, and local school children sang songs of remembrance.  (more…)

SOME CROWDED HOUSE AND NELSEN MANDELA – DON’T DREAM IT’S OVER

Let there be work, bread, water and salt for all.–Nelsen Mandela

Music: Crowded House, Don’t Dream It’s Over

Hollywood rugby pop art: All rugby communities know it’s a long way to that blasted try line. Stay close to each other, create play and reach forward together for a dream. The proven fortitude and new flexibility of teamwork is always the dream.

Artwork: The Key & Bars by Nelsen Mandela

Limited edition lithograph and hand cast numbered metal key

Nelson Mandela is the world’s greatest living statesman and nobel prize winner. He is a symbol of the struggle against apartheid and has now turned his hand to art. This stunning and unique piece symbolises the story of his time spent in prison on Robben Island.

The Key and Bars contains two powerful icons of the 28 years of Nelson Mandela’s imprisonment. His fingers have slowly and deliberately been drawn down the page to recreate the bars of his cell. The Key to his cell has been hand-cast into an edition of just 3000, each numbered and accompany this very powerful edition.

This superb item is personally signed by Nelson Mandela and is supplied framed and glazed, measuring an impressive 23” by 17”.

It is supplied with full certification from the Mandela Foundation.

In the 29th year after a prison of pain, Nelsen Mandela walked to freedom, and the whole world went with him in that place. The irony is, that without pain’s temporal confinement, we don’t know what freedom is. After pain, we then know. That is grief’s gift in the humanness of our shared recovery.

MIRANDA KERR LEADS THE LINE UP OF VICTORIA’S SECRET ANGELS

A Miranda Kerr Post as Sun Capp Art – These ladies are ambassadors that matter. They are seen each year by a billion plus people on the planet. They are visible. As international ambassadors they are given the title of “angel.” An angel is a “messenger.” With all their wings aflutter–(feather creations as fashion accessories) they are a reminder of–what’s your message for the world? And to strut it out.

True fact: All the models that walk the runway of the Victoria’s Secret fashion show each year are called “Runway Angels.” The elite representatives for America’s most favorite fashion show each year and spokespeople of the brand are called “Victoria’s Secret Angels.” They’re in another league of hotness. They’re like Charlies Angels –the TV Show once made here in California–as global representatives.

Their selection reads like a line up of G20 Summit leaders or a UN Summit meetings best representatives. They stem from many nations. In the current line up is:

Miranda Kerr of Australia, PINK spokesmodel 2006-8 and now ongoing. Featured here for Heavenly Kiss launch.

Doutzen Kroes of The Netherlands via Vsalla Acess Victoras Secret.

Behati Prinsloo of Namibia–since 2008.

Rosie Huntington Whitely UK, selected 2010

Candice Swanepoel of South Africa, selected 2010

2010′s American trio – Erin Heatherton,

Chanel Iman,

Lily “is it time to snort & vomit yet?”Aldrige

In 2007 Victoria’s Secret Angels as a star brand, were awarded their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. They are an elite group of girls–doing good things with their beauty and profiles. They join previous Victoria Secret Angels: Heidi Klum of Germany and America, Selita Ebanks of USA, Tyra Banks USA, The Brazilian trio: Gisele Bundchen, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio. Karolina Kurkova and Marissa Miller and Lindsey Ellingson USA to name a view more.

Fun girls–all strutting their stuff for a good cause. These Angels all work for a company called The Limited.

Why are they so lethal and effective as global ambassadors? Their distribution model. More catalogues from The Limited than people who are in the US are created. More than 400 million Victoria’s Secret catalogues are mailed each year from head office, America.

The Limited is increasingly becoming a green thinking company: Under pressure from environmentalist groups, Victoria’s Secret’s parent firm and a conservation group have reached an agreement to make the lingerie retailer’s catalog more environmentally friendly in 2006. The catalog will no longer be made of pulp supplied from any woodland craibou habitat range in Canada, unless it has been certified by the Forest Protection Association.

Sun Capitol Ambassadors: The Limited sold 75% of its company shares to Sun Capitol Partners, Inc–a company that manages $8 billion in equity capitol with 245 companies and businesses worldwide that generate INXS of $40 billion each year. Sun Capitol Ambassadors have offices Boca Raton, Los Angeles, New York, and affiliate offices in London, Paris, Frankfurt, Luxembourg, Shanghai and Shenzhen.

These Angels are Sun Capitol’s ambassadors of choice. Miranda Kerr is almost about to pop with baby no.1. Go kid!

Lyrics:

Ohh Ohh Ohh .. and I pray
I just cant sleep tonight
Knowing that things ain’t right
Its in the papers, its on the tv, its everywhere that I go
Children are crying
Soldiers are dying
Some people don’t have a home
But I know there’s sunshine behind that rain
I know there’s good times behind that pain, hey
Can you tell me how I can make a change
I close my eyes and I can see a better day
I close my eyes and pray
I close my eyes and I can see a better day
I close my eyes and pray

I lose my appetite, knowing kids starve tonight
Am I a sinner, cause my dinner is still on my plate
Ooo I got a vision, to make a difference
And its starting today

Cause I know there’s sunshine behind that rain
I know there’s good times behind that pain, hey

Heaven tell me how I can make a change
I close my eyes and I can see a better day
I close my eyes and pray
I close my eyes and I can see a better day

I close my eyes and pray
For the broken-hearted
I pray for the life not started
I pray for all the ones not breathing
I pray for all the souls in need.
I pray. Can you give em one today.
I just cant sleep tonight
Can someone tell how to make a change?

I close my eyes and I can see a better day
I close my eyes and pray
I close my eyes and I can see a better day
I close my eyes and I pray

I pray …

I close my eyes and pray

JAY-Z’s TRIBUTE TO LOST GREYMOUTH MINERS

A burden shared is a burden halved–the bronaaki of friends

The Herald Sun Australia reports that a fleet of white buses have taken family and friends up to The Pike River Coal Ltd managed mine, in Greymouth New Zealand where 29 trapped miners lost their lives. When I read this story it makes me cry, so go here to read this heartbreaking story if you want to.

In New Zealand show biz news, rapper Jay-Z paid tribute to Greymouth’s lost miners while performing in concert for Live Nation as the opening act for fellow artists and super rockers U2 in this green paradise haven nation.

KY Post report Jay-Z saying: “They will always be in our hearts and they will always be forever young,” before dedicating track Forever Young to the lost men.

In Los Angeles, “Young” is the name of Jay-Z’s wife’s publicist actually (for reals) as well as Jay-Z’s protege artist Rihanna‘s publicist too.

In that light, this is a touching tribute from Jay-Z in a show biz Hollywod way as well if you know the nuances of this song choice in L.A. To read more about the lost miner’s Jay-Z tributed, go here to these news stories leads featured on the New Zealand Herald’s website:

  1. Latest updates: Pike River tragedy
  2. Pike River: Heartbreak in a beautiful setting
  3. Pike River: Mayor slams ‘gutless’ messages
  4. Pike mine: River of tears

  7. Pike River: Grieving father’s plea
  8. Latest updates: Pike River tragedy
  9. Pike River: Third robot reveals violent blast
  10. Pike River: A nation in sorrow opens its heart

Cheers brotha Jay-Z! U2 also scrolled the 29 miners names onto their 360 degrees Tour’s stage screens, as pictured above. How poignant.

Also special thanks to all of these news media who have covered the story too offering hope forward for all of these miners families with a burden shared. Peace yall!

A THIRD MINE BLAST HITS NEW ZEALAND COAL MINE

“The moon has turned red over One Tree Hill.He runs like a river to the sea”–U2

BBC reports: “A third explosion has hit a New Zealand coal mine almost exactly a week after an initial blast trapped 29 miners.

Hopes of finding any survivors were dashed by a second huge explosion at the Pike River mine on Wednesday.

No-one was injured in the latest blast at the mine, which is filled with volatile gases.

Prime Minister John Key has warned it may take months to recover the men’s bodies, and pledged an investigation, saying the nation “needs answers”.

The latest blast happened at 1539 local time – almost exactly one week since the initial blast that caught the men – 24 New Zealanders, two Australians, two Britons and a South African.

The third blast was less powerful than the earlier two, and no-one was near the mine entrance when it happened, said Pike River Coal chairman John Dow.”

Be the answer.

REGINA, QUEEN ELIZABETH II SENDS HER CONDOLENCES TO GREYMOUTH MINERS FAMILIES, NEW ZEALAND

Some comfort for Greymouth families and the nation of New Zealand who is in national mourning — via The Queen of The Commonwealth today.

In full from Monsters and Critics: London - Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II said Wednesday she was ‘deeply saddened’ by news that the 29 miners trapped underground in New Zealand were almost certainly dead.

In a message to New Zealand’s Prime Minister John Key, the queen said: ‘My heart goes out to the families and friends of these 29 brave miners and to all who have been touched by this national disaster.’

‘I send my thanks and deep appreciation to everyone who has worked so hard to attempt a rescue and also to those who will have a part to play in the task of healing the pain that is being felt throughout New Zealand and around the world.’

‘At this sad and difficult time my thoughts and prayers are with you all,’ said the statement, released by Buckingham Palace.

Two Britons were among the miners trapped in the Pike River mine which suffered a second explosion Wednesday.

Buckingham Palace said the queen had been given daily, and at times, hourly updates on the situation at the mine.

Earlier Wednesday, Foreign Secretary William Hague sent the condolences of the British government to the families of the miners.

HONE TUWHARE’S NO ORDINARY SUN POEM – IN REMEMBRANCE OF WORLD EVENTS 11.24.10

No Ordinary Sun by Hone Tuwhare for lost Māwhera Miners & Korea North & South
Tree let your arms fall:
raise them not sharply in supplication
to the bright enhaloed cloud.
Let your arms lack toughness and
resilience for this is no mere axe
to blunt nor fire to smother.
Your sap shall not rise again
to the moon’s pull.
No more incline a deferential head
to the wind’s talk, or stir
to the tickle of coursing rain.
Your former shagginess shall not be
wreathed with the delightful flight
of birds nor shield
nor cool the ardour of unheeding
lovers from the monstrous sun.
Tree let your naked arms fall
nor extend vain entreaties to the radiant ball.
This is no gallant monsoon’s flash,
no dashing trade wind’s blast.
The fading green of your magic
emanations shall not make pure again
these polluted skies . . . for this
is no ordinary sun.
O tree
in the shadowless mountains
the white plains and
the drab sea floor
your end at last is written.

HOSEA GEAR AND SCOTTISH RUBGY FOR A RUGBY GUEST COMMENTARY, HOLLYWOOD SPOTLIGHT

[Photo: Hosea Gear of New Zealand holds off the challenge from Chris Ashton of England to score the games opening try during the Investec Challenge match between England and New Zealand at Twickenham Stadium on November 6, 2010 in London, England. Photo by Clive Rose/Getty Images Europe via Zimbio)

Alright. As you know I am completely obsessed with Rugby Football and watching it right here in Hollywood - The Entertainment Capitol of The World, like much of the world is too with their rugby football.  Here's the latest happenings on that via ESPN Scrum News:

"Scotland - Team News: Scrum-half Mike Blair leads a side showing five changes from the June win over Argentina. Winger Rory Lamont, prop Euan Murray, No.8 Richie Vernon and lock Richie Gray all come in to the starting XV while Blair himself completes the makeover.

New Zealand - Player to Watch: It took him a while to get going in an All Blacks jersey but Hosea Gear looked the real deal at Twickenham. He scored his first Test try against the English but any further five-pointers this weekend will not be greeted quite as warmly as that one was in Edinburgh.

New Zealand - Team News: Conrad Smith comes into the midfield to partner Sonny Bill Williams, Ma'a Nonu dropping to the bench, while Liam Messam replaces Jerome Kaino at blindside. Isaia Toeava starts on the opposite wing to Gear as Joe Rokocoko gets a rest and Jimmy Cowan is restored to the starting line-up at scrum-half. Hika Elliot has been bracketed alongside Keven Mealamu at hooker, with the destination of the No.2 jersey set to be decided following an appeal hearing into Mealamu's four week ban for head-butting Lewis Moody.

Key Battle: Scotland will likely require a defensive effort similar to the one that did for Australia 12 months ago but a strong showing from their back-row in limiting the All Blacks' flow of quick ball will be the deciding factor in any shock result.

Trivia: Roy Laidlaw, uncle of Scotland's replacement scrum-half Greig, started in the No.9 jersey the last time they drew with the All Blacks, 25-25 in 1983.

Stats: All Blacks fly-half Dan Carter tops most of their scoring charts but is way behind Andrew Mehrtens against the Scots. In seven Tests against Scotland between 1995 and 2001 the former Crusaders playmaker slotted 108 points, including 31 conversions.

Quote Unquote:

"We believe as a squad that if we can match the All Blacks' skill and intensity, that, with the Murrayfield crowd behind us, it can put us into a position where we can win a Test match against New Zealand." - Scotland skipper Mike Blair.

"I couldn't think of two better people than Richie and Mils to beat my record. They are outstanding All Blacks, good leaders of men and for me it's an honour to pass the baton on to those two." - Former All Black Sean Fitzpatrick.

Prediction: Scotland are the most improved side in the northern hemisphere but they just don't have the quality to overturn the All Blacks on the scoreboard."

Rugby football player Richie McCaw was named Sports Canterbury’s Sportsperson of the Year today. Here’s seven “Richie-ism” as to where McCaw’s team (The New Zealand All Blacks) can improve their game.

On how a champion sees enemies: “we were our own worst enemy… we kept giving the ball back to them, not capitalizing it into points.”

On generosity talk: “That was one of the big things, we just kept giving them opportunities.”

On New Zealand defense on the rugby football field: “I was pretty happy with the ways the guys defended.”

On rugby football players are big hearted people: “We showed a lot of heart there and it was pretty physical.”

On team attitude to match game plan: “The attitude we’ve got as to how we want to play the game is spot on.”

On inciting creative play with balanced discipline: “You don’t want to stifle the guys’ ability to look at space and play what they see, but you have to temper it.”

The Best is Yet to Come: “The team is not as ecstatic as it should be. We needed to stay patient with the ball and we didn’t respect it enough in the second half. We’ve got to be tough on ourselves. When you’re in a position to put teams away you’ve got to look after the ball, and we didn’t do that.”

Wise words from McCaw. I swear though, you can pull up every rugby football captains words on google –and their word choices will all sound the same (Rugby language and rugby culture – of which New Zealand is a master of creating, speaking, spreading, upholding). It’s a grass-roots country based discourse.

Time for a word palate  refresher course perhaps in rugby-speak circles–to enhance the game of rugby, ‘rugby culture’ and or sports commentary? Let’s get creative.

Question: At rugby world cup this year, what are the dominant new buzz words being created – to share at this important event? If we have a platform, should it not be used for the good? Good key words R US!

AB – AUBERGINE, BABA GANOUSH RECIPE for RUGBY FOOTBALL FANS AND A-LIST AMERICAN CELEBRITIES

A different view: Photoshopped Aubergine featuring the letters, A & B.

If you blog from Hollywood “A” will always stand for Angeles, Angel (a messenger), or, Angelina (Jolie) – a second generation proven Hollywood star and cultural, global treasure of America.

“B” in Hollywood’s current celebrity star system, will always stand for Brad (Pitt)- champion celebrity supporter of the New Orleans Saints football team, who wear a Super Bowl ring. “B” stands for Barack (President Obama, husband of FLOTUS Michelle Obama) and Bill (Clinton) husband of the current US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton or (more current) Canada‘s teen entertainer, Bieber (Justin) or a returning Kawana (Governor) of California, Jerry Brown too.

Of these names listed – American culture is spun, millions of dollars, time, energy, resources, hours and hours and hours of global attention and effort are spent printing, distributing, broadcasting, (watching, viewing, emulating, discussing at office water coolers) any inkling of a sighting or a key message from any one of these names.

As celebrities of entertainment, politics, music, arts and culture – they form a multi-billion dollar industry that generates around them each day. AB people, leading the world – in a metaphor of a (solar) star system, or the particles of an atom. They are the oracles, of a Super Power’s discourse. The artillery (signifiers elect by popular free-choice vote) of a super power’s dominance and culture–imploring the key message of:  ‘emulate US’ worldwide. They’re fun people. Fun sells. As celebrities of US culture, I like them all. More often than not, they always bring a smile.

“B” also equals whose got the ball. B is also about what you do for others when you have the ball.

You’re an A-List star in Hollywood when you do A-List worthy things with the ball you hold in your hands for others. Angelina Jolie perhaps sums this up the best, on her humanitarian missions for the UN, to people of the world most needing advocacy. AB is a blood type (like any other, O type for example is too) –the signifier of human life globally–symbolizing the movement of a pulse for the good, across the globe, for people.

Practically speaking though, if you’re from New Zealand and you’re a rugby football enthusiast, AB stands for All Blacks and of them and what they have achieved in sports and what AB’s culture has inspired for human rights records of the World (cf: Nelson Mandela‘s story and human rights, apartheid advocacy via Maori New Zealanders and Kiwis in the documentary films of artist, Merata Mita, one of the most significant filmic artists in the world of all time, who held, focused or directed a camera, in often zero budget filming conditions–yet in a Queenly manner, like Angelina Jolie is now as a debut director, seeing beyond color bars into the heart of genocidal, raping tendencies as a filmic theme)–is only the stuff Hollywood legends are written of and made of. Hence that very long sentence. Sorry ’bout that.

On the other side of the world, in New Zealand, at a significant time in world history as captured on film in Merata’s film, Patu! – AB’s culture helped free a Nobel Peace Prize Winning King, of South Africa. His life story of freedom, is a Kiwi story too. He’s in our hot mix. Maori and Kiwi’s freed him with advocacy also, helping give Nelson his long awaited cup of Liberty in his unique journey of a very long walk to freedom as a now celebrated South Africa icon of the world. When New Zealand play South Africa in rugby, we celebrate our part we play, in his ongoing legacy of freedom. He gave us a challenge, we responded, and that legacy to free others, will always be what we do in rugby country, Middle Earth. It’s a proven gift, a cultural taonga (inner treasure) AB Kiwi-thinkers have, carry, possess, pass on to others when needed for the world.

We instigate the play and the pass of freedom with our actions and instincts, outworked in a teamwork formation. We always have.

AB thinkers and action star-doers, are ‘Humanitarian Messangers of Sport.’ They are down-to-earth and fine Commonwealth people. Their nobility of spirit is defined by a Joe Blogg’s-appearing cloak of humility.

Like any rugby football enthusiast or ‘team work sports’ appreciating Kiwi in the world –The AB’s are our fun heroes. Gladiators of sport, whenever they appear, they symbolize fearless change in a modern world of fiercely contested challenges. New teamwork strategies in play is what they evolve as a science of sport and an art form of globally loved entertainment. They are masters at evolving the game of play and making it better.

What’s cooking in your kitchen for the world America? Good things, I trust. Happy cooking, creating, eating, shared and diverse dining. Peace ya’ll! :)

A and B are two important keys on a King or Queen’s piano’s keyboard. I am not either. I am the “C” key, of Middle Earth (eyes are needed to C), like any try-and-do-some-good Kiwi does, I try and join in too, in and around supporting our rugby footballers to excel in teamwork opportunities that get the best results on and off the field.

Our rugby players are our AB’s stars. The rest of us Kiwi’s – at best, tend to play the “Middle C” key role of Middle Earth – to entertain for a peaceful and productive future of “big hearted” purposes in the world. Baba Ganoush - with pita bread as a change from Latino-staple Corn Chips and Salsa, in this Jerry Brown latino-voted California’s elect future, of political climate change terrain of Hollywood, that I blog from. Exciting times.

Keeping it real, is having a diverse taste palate. That way, we’re more likely to consider the needs of others, with a worldview different and/or similar to our own. Mature tastes then maturing together with consideration and love for others in our stout rugby and football hearts- Baba Ganoush, why not?! You know it. Peace!
