I cannot stress the importance of good dentistry, if you want a career in show biz in America. Britney Spears, has the best dentist, and the cutest smile in pop music.
Taylor Momsen the 16 year-old star of Gossip Girl needs to be put under curfew until she’s 18. I kid.
Lindsay Lohan, did a Madonna-Meets-Lady-Gaga vampira number, to prey on the younger gossip girl star, for media attention this week.
Taylor Momsen, whose trouble!!! fell for it, hook, line and sinker. And so, stars help each other to garner new fan bases. Such is the story of show businesses.
Lindsay is actually a very biz savvy young lady. Lohan’s stint on Project Runway as a guest celebrity judge of haute American fashion, showed just how savvy Lohan is at being practical about fashion designs that will work and sell in retail. I was impressed with Lohan. It’s a side to her, rarely shown by the paparazzi.
Momsen however, can only see the fame at the moment. Oh to be young, and that naiive. I like the way Momsen has diversified to branch out into music as well as acting though. Good for her!
Meanwhile, Life & Style magazine continue to get their cover stories wrong. No Life & Style Lindsay Lohan does not want to destroy her younger sister, Ali Lohan’s life. Ali’s mother, Dina Lohan, has already done a fine job at that–God bless her! Why blame Lindsay, for taking her sister out, for a night of light family drama relief? Like every sibling does. Family is never easy, but the Lohans know how to smile and enjoy their family. It is what it is. Taylor Momsen looks like she could learn from a star, who still knows how to smile, no matter what’s going down. At least Lindsay and her little sister Ali can offer young Taylor Momsen that. Smile honey! Life is too good not to enjoy it.
But seriously, doesn’t this Momsen kid have homework to do at night? She’s never home! [image: Pop Sugar]
“A Smile is Your Passport To Anywhere” is a saying my dad always raised me with as a kid. Jennifer Garner and Violet Garner are the picture of that today. Nice! [source]

Said Brooke Shields: “Michael was one of a kind. I was thinking of when we first met and the captions of the photographs of us together. Thecaption said, “an odd couple.” But at 13 when we first met, it was so natural. I used to joke with him, as I started in show business at 11 months, and he started at 5 years of age, I call him a “slacker.”
Michael could always count on me, that I could be his date and that we would have fun. We had a bond, because we both had grown up in the spotlight. Both of us needed to be adults very early, but when we were together, we were two little kids having fun. We never collaborated together, we never performed together on the same stage, although he did try one night to teach me the moonwalk, unsuccessfully.
We never filmed a video, but what we did do was laugh. It was a competition to see who made the other laugh more, or be the silliest. He adored it when impersonations or told him story of his life.
MJ’s laugh was one of the most beautiful sounds I’ve ever known.
When he started wearing the glove, I said:”What’s up with the glove?” When you hold my hand it better be with the unsequined hand, because sequins hurt me.”
He was caring, funny, honest, pure, non-jaded and he was a lover of life. He cared so deeply for his friends, family and his fans. He was often referred to as The King, but the Michael I knew reminded me of the little prince.”
“Lamps must be protected, a gust of wind can blow them out. Michael’s sensitivity was more incredible then his talent. You have to look with the heart, what’s most important is invisible.”
Michael’s favorite song was a song that Charlie Chaplin wrote for the film, Modern Times. It’s called Smile… it says “Smile, Though your hearts are aching.”

Jermaine Jackson, sung Smile, after Brooke Shields spoke. It’s quite profound that Jermaine Jackson wore one white sequined glove. The mantle of the male Jackson performers, now rests on Jermaine for America and the world. To be able to perform like that in grief, Jermaine is so strong! …
Just smile… ya’ll is MJ’s message. Charlie Chaplin’s penned lyrics of Smile, that Nat King Cole made famous, and that Jermaine Jackson sung for Michael, follow: (more…)
