Hilary Clinton’s in New Zealand, so here’s one from the NZ military troops to celebrate the U.S Secretary of States presence in NZ waters, that they protect and serve.
A thought:Milky Bar Kids in New Zealand rock aye?! Men in New Zealand are just brought up culturally aware and nuanced in diverse cultural lore as this video clip represents a picture of. A colorful and vibrant culture is New Zealand.
Here’s the Royal New Zealand Navy doing the haka of New Zealand (Maori warrior war dance) at the Devonport Royal Navel Base in Auckland, The Supercity. As mentioned on this blog before, the haka has been performed as an expression of masculinity and one’s inner spirit of a warrior, for over one thousand years within New Zealand shores. It’s just a part of how we roll as a rugby football playing nation.

[Image of Chelsea Clinton's Wedding Day, because I cant find the pics of when Chelsea Clinton visited Queenstown, New Zealand from back in the day, so this one will suffice, aye. Question: When will the Obama's pay NZ a visit? We have good fiscal leadership in NZ, well worth a trip down to learn and see the countryside too with the girls. A family vacation?]

Kalani Jones(L) of Auckland – The Supercity poses with Lani.
The Samoan-Kiwi hottie looks like her late grandmother, Aunty Maina Werne-Jones - a lady who died in Kenya while on safari, and who had the distinction of having the second most-attended funeral in New Zealand history in 1997 of a Kiwi not born in the green paradise nation. As a woman of Samoa with Mana in The South Pacific, Maina Werne-Jones was down to earth, heavenly-minded, loving and much loved.
Aunty Maina as she was affectionately known, is still sorely missed by Auckland City, Samoa and throughout The Pacific today. Her laugh was magic. She laughed a lot, always sharing her smile and joie de vie with a rare gift of joyful encouragement.
Kalani also looks like her gorgeous momma, Judi Jones. Kalani’s dad, Derek Jones can be found here with Judi, doing their bit providing Samoan-Kiwi flava and inspiration at a transitional time for Porirua City leadership in Wellywood – Hollywood’s sister-city for 3D film making expertise.
Porirua is currently in the middle of a surprise bi-election, as the US Secretary of State Hilary Rodham Clintonhas just recently touched down in Wellywood, a film making nation’s capitol city, at the time of writing from Hollywood. There’s a lot going on in New Zealand right now. It’s a hot diverse entertainment nation, destination.
At the top, of the North Island of New Zealand, Kalani lives in Auckland, The Supercity of this beautiful paradise-green nation.
If you live in Hollywood and follow Herman-Town’s Young Hollywood promotions expertise, you will know that Ms Kim Kardashian is styling and dressing America’s style conscious twenty-somethings, right now, here in the USA. Nationwide in the USA, Kim is currently doing this online 24 hours a day, with a skillful style package that consults and customizes fashion accessories to each individual customer. Smart.
.
Kim Kardashian is perhaps the only A-Listed reality TV Star in Hollywood, who is also a fashion merchandising mogul on the rise. If Kalani is like Kim Kardashian, I’m all for that. The world needs a Samoan-Kiwi style-queen I reckon. Especially one of Spirit — like Kalani Jones possesses, naturally. Check out Kim’s online biz ventures with Hollywood entertainment power-lawyer Robert Shapiro –at Shoe Dazzle. Amazin! They’re taking over stylish retail for the young in America–via their online storefront window instead. It’s a Kardashian underground movement of taste and style blitzing the USA.
.
Kalani Jones is rugby royalty of New Zealand, Samoa and the Commonwealth Affiliated Nations and Oceania Nations of the World. She is the niece of a rugby player who England’s Will Carling listed in the UK Telegraph as being the no.2 rugby footballer in the world of all time. Kalani’s father Derek, is also a good rugby footballer too.
.
As a future rising star of New Zealand & The South Pacific – Kalani Jones has got it all going on in her star mix and this kid loves God too. Not a bad combo for grounded balance to balance out the craziness of fame that lies ahead of her, I reckon. Go kid! If ever there was a girl in New Zealand worthy of a reality TV series of her own, to weave in a stellar cast of characters who surround her in everyday life, Kalani Jones is one such star of great potential to lead, entertain, inspire her generation. Oh… btw:

Let’s go Auckland. Porirua City & Let’s go SAMOA! Mauri ‘Ola.
This post going via Kalani’s Maori Aunties of Oak Ridge Camp, Whangarei City, Northland via The City of Angels & “Uncle Sam” born in Fiji, and I guess… your Uncle Derek Farmer (and Farmer Brotherhood) too – now of Australia. In the words of Avatarin 3D: We see you! :)

Reality TV Series Idea: Kalani goes to Wellywood (Porirua).
Prime Minister John Key (L) is no stranger at dealing with key leaders in key areas and markets of the world.
Quote of the Year: “It was commercial reality. We did the business.”–John Key on bending Hobbit Law, to Warner Brothers recognition, of Sir Peter Jackson and Sir Richard Taylor‘s skills and preference to film The Hobbit 3D film in New Zealand.
New Zealand’s number one man, John Keyshines in Hollywood today, with the announcement that New Zealand will restructure law, and contribute monetarily to help facilitate Sir Peter Jacksondirected, The Hobbit films 3D filming and production in Middle Earth. This sends a clear message to Bollywood, Hollywood, Europe and Asia, that New Zealand is 3D film production fit for the 2010′s and beyond. Middle Earth is also the home of James Cameron‘s Avatar‘s 3D effects, filming and creation.
Via New York Times, Mr Key says: “I’m delighted we have achieved this result. Making the two movies here will not only safeguard work for thousands of New Zealanders, but will also allow us to follow the success of the Lord of the Ringstrilogy in once again promoting New Zealand on the world stage,” Mr. Key said. Video of speech can he found here.
“The industrial issues that have arisen in the past several weeks have highlighted a significant set of concerns for the way in which the international film industry operates here in New Zealand. We will be moving to ensure that New Zealand law in this area is settled to give film producers like Warner Brothers the confidence they need to produce their movies in New Zealand.
To structure the right deal to keep The Hobbit in New Zealand, new legislation is being introduced Thursday to clarify the difference between an employee and a contractor. The change in law would affect only the film industry.
Aotearoa/ New Zealand’s Prime Minister, Mr. Key said that the green paradise nation would offset $10 million of Warner’s marketing costs as the government agreed to a joint venture with the studio.
Mr Key also threw in an additional tax rebate for big budget films made in the country, making production companies now eligible for up to $7.5 million extra per picture–based on box office sales. New Zealand currently offers a 15 % rebate on money spent on major movies being produced within this paradise nation’s shores.
The UK Guardian reports that, had not Warner Bros and the New Zealand government come to an agreement, “Economists had said the loss of the production could cost the country’s film industry as much as $1.5bn and damage it in the long term.” Mr Keys also said via The Guardian, “”Making the movies here will not only safeguard work for thousands of New Zealanders.”" A much welcomed break for New Zealand’s economy struggling with one of the highest E.E.C debts, currently. The news was much welcomed.
Although it is not know if any Maori and Polynesian actors have been cast in the film in key roles to date, the Guardian reports: “The Office star Martin Freeman set to portray the title character, Bilbo Baggins – a homely Hobbit who in Tolkien’s tale is bamboozled into joining a thrilling adventure by a wizard named Gandalf. Richard Armitage, of BBC TV series Spooks, will play the role of Thorin Oakenshield, the leader of the dwarves.”
Good stuff. What a day for Hobbit lovers of Hobbitsville entertainment. And not a bad couple of days work either from Prime Minister Keys in his role of Minister of Tourism too. That deserves a beer or three in Hobbit fashion. Nice teamwork for the Prime Minister, Warner Bros, and our two Sirs who create Hobbits and a film industry working for and in tandem while reflecting back to Hollywood, from the other side of the world in New Zealand. Teamwork and mastery of a win-win relationship. Super heroes are being made in New Zealand in cinema texts and 3D cinema –for the world. Let’s go China and 3D action Chinese films in NZ.
This report gleaned from an original report penned byJohnathan Hutchinson, Michael Cieply and Colin Peacock. [Image above: Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao (R) meets with New Zealand's Prime Minister John Key at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing China's capitol, on July 7, 2010. Xinhua &Rao Aimin photo. New Zealand also grew diplomatic relations in Seoul Korea today, Michael Woodhouse Mp appears on day one in Seoul where he has toured Gyeonbok Palace. Does Korea have any 3 D films they may need made and told in Middle Earth too, one might ask? NZ is a busy Asian-Friendly and Hollywood friendly filmmaking nation. And on that note, let's go Bollywood in NZ locations, coming at ya in 3D cinema. Namaste! Haere Mai!]
We all love Sir Peter Jacksonin Hollywood. He’s a box office heavy weight for this California City and a Hollywood Oscars King to boot. New Zealanders probably love Sir Peter a wee bit more than even Hollywood does. His early films have been studied many times over, by the New Zealand people just as much as his big blockbuster films have been viewed and enjoyed.
Sir Peter Jackson is a cultural hero of Middle Earth. Sort of like the Sir Edmund Hilary of Cinema to his home town of Wellywood.
However, Kiwis (New Zealanders) love our Prime Minister even more than the remarkable Sir Peter. He’s The Kiwi King. From the home and heart of Hobbitsville, here’s Prime Minister John Key speaking on Hobbit filmmaking in 3D, in this video news footage, addressing the recent actors’ union challenge via an Australian actors union that could have swayed Warner Bros. to move the film to another location. Such a move could have threatened the future of films being made in New Zealand by the best directors in the world.
This news report via Te Karere – Maori News shows a King in full support of what his filmmaking star director of Hobbits wants within his capacities as a leader who protects great artists, like Sir Peter of Middle Earth and the heart and soul of the magic that they create in their art.
Hollywood great, James Cameron‘sAvatar filmed in Wellywood, so let’s hope Warner Bros relationship with Hollywood’s collaborating twin filmmaking city remains strong, in producing Hollywood’s no.1 grossing box office films of all time globally between Hollywood and Wellywood.
The proven relationship to date is a match made in cross-cultural, box-office, results-generating heaven. Excellent filmmaking synergy.
Update: 10.26.10 @4.41 pm: TVNZ reports: “We will have to make an assessment about whether we think a clarification in the law would assist New Zealand economically,” Key said. “If we do, we might make some changes.”
“The Government has also admitted it is prepared to move “at the margins” on subsidies for the two films but would not enter a bidding war to match what was on offer internationally,” says New Zealand’s Prime Minister.

~Posted by Horiwood.Com, Hollywood California, Reporter: Roihana Nuri, Presenter: Scotty Morrison, Executive producer: Tini Molyneux. From Hollywood today, this was the way it was, looked and sounded from New Zealand for Hobbit fans worldwide in a culturally diverse nation of friendly Hobbit loving people in Middle Earth, Aotearoa-New Zealand. Cool aye? Incidentally Wellywood is also known by its 12th Century name, Te Whanganui a Tara – it is a story of twins too, like Hollywood and Wellywood are. Poetic and fitting at this moment in 3D Middle Earth history reflecting the twin cities of Wellywood and Hollywood. 10.26.10~
Hollywood, Calif– to [Hobbitsville, Middle Earth], Wellywood a Poneke today. A message on Wellywood casting.
One headline to grow the film industry globally: KEY 3D CINEMA PARADIGM SHIFT – MAORI AND POLYNESIAN TEENAGED ACTION STARS IN 3D, 2010′s
Why not?!
Image of Taylor Lautnerof Hudsonville (Ottawa and Potawatomi Native American Indian tribes, descendant) 18, earns more than US$8 million a film in Hollywood. That’s not including his merchandising of his mixed American-indigenous image.
A Native [American Indian] teen in Hollywood. He has yet to appear in 3D cinema texts.
I present Taylor today as food for thought for Maori and Polynesian action stars, who are Hollywood worthy as entertainers also. Remembering that Maori have practiced Mau Rakau martial arts for centuries in Middle Earth, Aotearoa/ New Zealand. We have this history for 3D cinema’s authenticity as Art and Entertainment texts of Hollywood and Wellywood worthy cultural significance.
This thought being presented in Hollywood today for the land of Hobbits and their Oscar-holding creators and auteurs of Middle Earth to mull over. Namely Sir Peter Jackson and Sir Richard Taylor with casting lenses of wisdom and foresight worn in New Zealand, to grow existing and new talent and film markets from New Zealand shores showcasing all of New Zealand’s diverse potential in film growth to our economy. Courage to develop new Kiwi action stars, who have the potential to develop new action film genres that appeal to Asian markets.

Why can’t Polynesian and Maori Kiwi kids, be a vital part of Young Hollywood pop cultural texts, icons, symbols generation, and leadership too?
My girlfriend Dale, from Wellington New Zealand became a ravishing redhead this week.
She’s pictured here with Sir Wira Gardener, whose a bit of a guru on mapping trends on Maori leadership in our recent times.
One of my favorite, Maori leaders was Sir Apirana Ngata, who bonded one tribe to another to help out in recession like times. A Maori tribe would all move to another tribe’s rohe (tribal area) and develop the hosting tribe’s business potential, then when the host tribe’s biz and industry development was completed, that tribe would then reciprocate the favor in the guest tribe’s home territory.
With a concentrated effort in one particular area of biz development (with double the manpower and womanpower) things got done twice as fast. Together Everyone Achieves More. That’s the true success of Maori leadership in effect.
I hope Sir Wira Gardiner writes a book about Sir Apirana Ngata’s greatness as a leader and includes such inspiring stories in it as well as the modern leadership styles of Maori leadership too.
It would be weird though trying to give an honest perspective from your own opinion on…. well… your own peers. Um, good luck with that Sir Wira!!! But yes, this book needs to happen. Young Maori (hori) upstarts like me, need to be inspired by such a book written by Sir Wira Gardiner. We look to you to write it.
I hope Dale K is in that book. Dale is one of THE BEST Maori leaders I know of. She’s strategic, forward thinking, practical and in touch with where the future is heading. I like her leadership brain. It’s a cultural treasure of New Zealand. She’s also a real gem of a friend too. Lucky, lucky me.
The pic below is the view Dale has each morning from her kitchen window while having her morning coffee. Isn’t Dale so lucky! Wellington (Poneke) New Zealand is so pretty.
Love the hair color sweet Dale. You be rockin! Very cool!
To experience the beauty of Wellington where Dale lives, go here. To fly there go here. To enjoy, get there.
Dale’s fab hair color was courtesy of Jean Jacques (of Jean Jacques Hair Design, Lambton Quay, Wellington NZ). Says Dale: “any girl knows that a hairdresser is her best friend and JJ and I have been together for about 15 years – so he knows me well! Funny thing is I always preferred red hair when I was younger and coloured my hair ‘auburn’ throughout my last year of high school.”
What a hot color! Suits Dale’s effervescent spirit and personality to a tee. Love this woman! She’s the future leadership of New Zealand.
horiwood’s last twitter pick was from dale who is back in NZ :( Here it is: “@horiwood Definitely home – nothin like singing the Lord’s Prayer in Maori this am at Te Ataakura’s christening & crying over the AB’s loss.”9:50 PM Aug 1stfrom webin reply to horiwood
Recently a girlfriend, Dale, came to LA from New Zealand to say hi after a 7 day vacation in Las Vegas.
We are both pictured here at the Beverly Wilshire after lunch on Rodeo before Dale flew out again.
The Wilshire is where Julia Roberts and Richard Gere filmed the hit movie, Pretty Woman, which kick started Roberts’ career into A-List super stardom.
I was blessed by Dale’s shining visit. She’s as sharp as Chelsea Handler of the Chelsea Lately show. So much so, that I wish Dale would stand for politics in New Zealand. She’s the Julia Roberts of New Zealand politics. A true star.
Having seen a lot of politicians serve the New Zealand people and watching the news each night from Washington too here in the US, I think Dale has one of the best political minds that New Zealand has to offer. Dale…. please do stand as a politician. The country needs you.
Anyway, here’s Dale on vacation, doing a booty hip bump with ‘Barack Obama,’ and paying tribute from New Zealand to Michael Jackson’s star on Hollywood Boulevard, for the contributions in music and entertainment that MJ gave to all New Zealanders, back in the day.
Maoris loved MJ’s music and still do. He did a lot for better race relations of all Maori in New Zealand on the airwaves and as a music artist. It was nice to see Dale at his star in Hollywood.
Now when can we get The Pounamu Walk of Fame conceptualised and developed in New Zealand featuring befitting and noble tributes to NZ greats like Peter Jackson, Sir Edmund Hilary, Colin Meade, Moana Maniapoto, Michael Jones, Richard Chandler, Sir Peter Buck (Te Rangi Hiroa), Sir Apiriana Ngata, Witi Ihimaera, Janet Frame and The Maori Queen for example?
Positioning The Pounamu Walk of Fame, either at Te Papa Museumalong the Wellington waterfront in the nation’s capitol or along the Auckland Waterfront in the largest Polynesian City in the world, would be perfect, as a tribute to culture and those who’ve inspired and extended cultural life throughout history.
While here, the effervescent and lovely Dale stayed at The Hotel Angeleno at the base of LA’s stunning Getty Museum, which is home to the largest private art collection in the world.
Already, I miss Dale in LA! Thanks for coming Dale. You refresh and uplift the spirit. What a total honey! xox
