ON APPLE’S PING – LADY GAGA, THE SOCIAL SENATE, CALLUM SAUNDERS
Guest Commentary: Callum Saunders of The Social Senate Blog has something worthwhile to say today about Apple muscling in to the Social Networking chomp markets.
We’ve become a global tribe, who don’t always want to hear what leaders have to say (George W. politics after-math), being social networking entrepreneurs like Apple’s Steve Jobs, gold bicycle to trek it out to for Apple stake holders; as people want to talk about themselves, their lives, and choose their own leaders via social networking. Jobs is a smart cookie.
For politicians to be effective, they have to be entertaining, funny and like good music as this is the fuel that keeps peoples spirits up in recession years.
And remember when Lady Gaga stopped by Apple HQ in California? Here’s what she came up with, for Ping and Apple too on her iTUnes, in the form of this video. Any fan of the world’s #1 pop star, would feel privileged to look at her alleged music influences, tastes and preferences. A good move on the marketing chess board for Apple. But Callam’s useful words, follow around Gaga’s spiel.
Is Apple Ping promising or problematic as Apple steals Pingomattic’s branding? I repeat, corporate stealing. Why isn’t Callum’s whole blog entry about that? But anything that Apple okays soon become the norm for all IT users where music is shaping up to be key to growth.
