Angelina Jolie wants everyone to know she loves fish, fish and more fish. She can’t get enough fish and she wants all of her children to see fish swim in Aquariums. I wonder if there were any salmon in that fishy aquarium in Paris, France.
Yesterday Jolie took her two eldest daughters and son Pax to Paris Aquarium for a day trip. Today she took her twin son, Knox on his own special outing to the Aquarium for quality mother and son, fishy time.
On the way, Jolie didn’t seemed perturbed by the falling snow at this magical time of year in Paris France.
It is the second time Brad Pitt has seen Megamind. This time Mr Pitt is pictured with Angelina seeing the film again in Paris, France.
Wikileaks US leaked docs news dominates our top ten celebrity, entertainment news posts here in Hollywood. A shock, because this is not a political blog but an entertainment celebrity blog. I guess world leaders are celebrities right now then, if they’re rating above known celeb names. A good sign.
Here’s John Key‘s quote on the 1600 documents that relate to New Zealand, 1400 hundred of them stemming from Wellington: ”My understanding is it’s more likely to be the odd sort of comment which is colourful in nature, the sort of thing that you might say to your mate around the coffee table but not necessarily something you’d want written down and read by the person that you were reporting on—I see biodocuments (documents about people) or I see reports that come in from our embassies and high commissions around the world. They always have a degree of colour or [creative] licence about them. I take them with a grain of salt. Generally the positions we hold we make them public anyway.”
Good advice on how Wikileaks docs should be read. Just like most things written on this blog really. On that note, our top ten voted worldwide today are:
“No one is under any illusions about how we feel about the Fiji administration at the moment or what’s happening in Afghanistan so I’d be surprised if there’s anything there”–JK for NZ.
TVNZ reporting via NZPA on NZ’s Position about the US criticism in the Wikileaks Doc: ‘After revelations via Wikileaks that diplomats were told to spy on United Nations figures, the US is accountable, NZ’s leader says.
‘Among the documents released was a classified directive to US diplomats sent on behalf of US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in July 2009 which sought intelligence on the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and the ambassadors of the other permanent members of the UN Security Council – Britain, China, Russia and France.
The “new national human intelligence collection directive” was sent to US representatives at the UN missions in New York, Vienna and Rome, and 33 embassies and consulates. The UN has reacted saying it will take up concerns with the US and that its operations under the 1946 convention on the privileges and immunities of the United Nations included immunity from search or interference by member governments.
Key did not criticise the US when asked about the controversy this afternoon.

With this photo of Ryan Seacrest romancing Julianne Hough of the Hough family, I am reminded of these things:
1. How Angelina Jolie always snubs Ryan on the red carpet at Oscars awards ceremonies whenever he tries to interview her. So Ryan being a tourist abroad perhaps shows he has a good sense of humor in mimicking Jolie as a bigger star than him, with no hard feelings.
2. How Julianne Hough is a worthy rising Taylor Swift-esque country singer. Julianne is even pitch perfect when she sings live in shopping malls. For that she deserves a lot of kuros. She’s fearless.
3. And how healthy it is for Ryan to be celebrating with his family instead of in studios all the time. Let’s get used to this picture of the Hough-Seacrest family in Paris then. They’re going to amazing lengths to turn on a show for America today. A good effort all round across this show biz team, showing they can switch it up in two different countries today. Not many show biz families are doing that today. :)
Country star Julianne can be seen and heard singing her new single, Is that so wrong? right here.
Ryan‘s Hollywood Hills home is up for sale and can be seen, right here.
Alrighty, I am still obsessing on the fact that Michael Jackson as a brand to entertain, still rocks on, because his architecture as an entertaining King, has a life force of it’s own–with or without him.
That’s nuts. For a fragile dude, he sure built a solid kingdom of entertainment to model. Look at this stuff fly. It’s the real deal of a King. Dance is celebrated in these images of art and performance. Monarch butterflies and Doves feature too.
These are the symbols that Jackson’s children and Miss Janet Jackson – MJ’s sister, are presenting to his fans and the world.
He was cross-cultural, all people he saw as being the same. As a culture maker, and America’s King of Pop he saw his role as creating symbology for his fans, so that they could have a sense of global culture that resonated with them all.
Seriously though, as New Zealand is the nation that creates Jackson-Taylor Monarchs in 3D in the 2010′s of cinema mastery –we perhaps need a ‘royal cinematic meeting of entertainment minds’ with one of MJ’s kids or his nieces or nephews (we’re not fussy), to star in our Hobbit films, to cement that point. What a cool idea.
Let me play ‘stand in’ Hollywood casting agent on this one… We’ll go for Blanket Jackson thanks, as a Hobbit prince of Latino descent. :)Having seen both Michael and Janet Jackson both perform live in concert in Auckland at Mt Smart Stadium, New Zealand with friend, Trinity Brooke, I think Blanket would rock, following in the footsteps of the family, in a Hobbit film shot in 3D and Middle Earth. Imagine that! A real Jackson Hobbit too. Perfect!
Enjoy these images, from Blanket’s Estates’ one page ad in the LA Times today. A paper that services a city and associated cities of 20 million people.

“Middle Earth is a 3D film making environment of film making excellence, rich in imagination facilitating diverse culture’s vision (their tino rangatiratanga and unique cultural sovereignty of culture) and their vibrantly entertaining expression in 3D film. Middle Earth is rich in acceptance of others’ difference & a film making haven of World Peace”–Horiwood, 2020′s.
“In 3D, all nations are created equal, in Wellywood film making practices, imagination, execution and delivery of film production excellence.”–Abe Lincoln and Horiwood.
A film is not a film, unless it is made in the Spirit of the experimental filmmaker–Len Lye, filmic artist, Taranaki.
In New Zealand we collaborate and create the world’s next array of Super Heroes in 3D, with powerful messages of good that impact and change the global consciousness and future direction of the world, through Kiwi made pop culture in cinema, merchandising, music soundtracks and entertainment distribution–2020′s
A response: HORIWOOD – What a great idea Barry. The lifestyle that nature has to offer Americans, when not on set in New Zealand – is accessible to all – and would more than make up for any pay cuts.
Also, travel – let’s all people grow up and learn, outside their own cultural frames of reference.
It shows security within peoples own sense of identity, when Americans become a minority on distant shores and blend with the world too. Happily.
In New Zealand, people like dialogue, (not one-sided cultural monologue–so Americans will be more than fine in that switch and exchange). Exciting.
With New Zealand’s potential to attract Bollywood and China to New Zealand landscapes to film musicals and action films in NZ too in 3D in the future, the Americans who do make early inroads into NZ 3D filmmaking NOW – will be set with work for life.
NZ is going to become busy. A globally sought after 3D filmmaking nation. How New Zealanders welcome warmly diverse cultures of the world and overseas actors and crew members too (including those from Hollywood, Bollywood, Hong Kong, Mainland China, Dubai, Russia, UK–every now and again–France), will determine the return rate of these nations to NZ as a filmmaking nation. As far as America is concerned (Avatar’s record breaking success as Hollywood’s leading film of all time box office history), New Zealand is a culturally friendly place for Americans to work and conquer from, with a Hollywood-Wellywood partnership.
Conclusion: Your blog Barry, is rocking, albeit as minimalist as it is, I enjoyed the guide to your twitter account. Thanks for commenting. Incidentally New Zealand has 5% more women than men in its total population, so there’s a few girls that wouldn’t mind marrying an American crew member and sharing citizenship and beach views like no other. A lot to look forward to, aye?!
Wellywood is the box office winning 3D Film Franchises Haven of the film making world. Those who find success with their franchises, will all own homes in New Zealand on beach fronts and live there for most of the year. Their kids will be raised there. It’s the new more-relaxed mecca of box office power players, that can deliver proven results. Well, in 2020, this will be so–Wellywood is the World’s 3D Mecca. It is Middle Earth. A meeting place in The Middle for all cultures to realize the cinematic visions, without culture being compromised in the film making process. New Zealand is a culturally rich haven, paradise nation for this to occur for 3D film makers across the globe. Good change ahead in Middle Earth.
I like your thinking Barry, where yes, film crew getting roughed around in Hollywood should move to NZ. Why not! NZ is a nation based on immigrants who joined the Indigenous Maori People, so as one of them, NZ can handle you bonding with us Maori-Kiwi lot. It’s how we came to be as a nation, just like America.
Incidentally how any nation has treated their Indigenous Peoples, is the barometer of all human rights relations in the world. It’s the gage of whether other cultures can be trusted dealing within our shores fairly as nations. So as a Maori-Kiwi if you want to move to NZ, I say… Go for it! Get on board brother. More studios other than WETA will spring up in New Zealand too, in order to handle the demand and keep a fair and competitive 3D filmmaking industry occurring in NZ. The economic possibilities are exciting.
Janet Jackson and Wissam Al Mana were the good looking couple at Lanvin‘s Parisian show. And Dita von Teese was the rose of the show too with Lenny Kravitz.
Celebrities, entertainment news, as picked by US here in Hollywood on Friday 1st October 2010 were:
Yasmin Bidois, the 15 year-old Maori model of French fusion, who landed her first magazine cover, through Tu Mai Magazinecontinues to wow with her natural beauty.
Humor: Dressed in clothes made by her sister, Adrienne Chanel takes the family dog, for a walk along the boulevard by the Deauville Ocean.
[This post going up in honor of my dad, whose middle name is Adrian, named by his late mother Elizabeth Maude Bailey, a stylish God fearing woman, who named her son in honor ofthe masculine French version of Adrienne, Coco Chanel's sister. My grandmother loved Coco Chanel's artistry too as a designer, who women worldwide found a voice in, even as far afield as the countryside of beautiful New Zealand green pastures. In honor of her mother-in-law, a talented milliner, perhaps she named dad, after Adrienne in acknowledgment of great grandma's unique skills to create magical moments of world worthy fashion, in remote parts of the world too. To this day, my father chooses to see women's strengths equal to those of men. He's always been that way. He does not discriminate between sexes. If you lead, you lead].

Starting any business requires family support, if you have that luxury. In his book Chanel and Her World, author Charles Roux was not all that kind in describing how Coco Chanel discovered the value of mannequins.
He posits that because Chanel’s sister Adrienne first began to borrow clothes from her store racks and wear them up town, that people saw the dresses, pants suits, what have you, on Chanel’s sisters, would then go to her store to buy the same said clothes. Roux posits that ‘this was the way Chanel discovered the value of mannequins.’
Gosh! That wasn’t very kind to Coco’s sisters, Mr Roux. Anyway, pictures of this story are in this post. And as this book is so outrageous, I’m going to keep sharing tid bits from it, as I’m able, so that budding designers from California to New Zealand, can learn how Mr Roux, think she rolled as a designer.
He’s very subjective though, (‘sisters as mannequins!!!’) but the photographs are real and unphotoshopped-so well worth a share.

“Vogue Paris has always played the card of audacity,” editor-in-chief Carine Roitfledsaid about French Vogue’s 90th Birthday celebrations. ”We couldn’t do a lukewarm issue.”
Having done a blog most days for only 20 months in Hollywood, that’s darn impressive from French Vogue, or Vogue anyone. 90 years. Wow. Nice one.

Maori wisdom: “In a very old tree, you may be certain that the sapwood is on the outside, while the heartwood is in the middle… Desolate darkness, desolate brightness. … Care for the land, Care for the people, Go forward.”
Remembering my Hollywood Maori manners today from around the globe. This is what I’m wearing today in West Hollywood, California.
A Maori Koru taonga handcrafted from the Ocean, gifted by Doniece Mackay of Matapouri Bay of the Ngapuhi Maori tribe, who lives in both Rome & Paris, once put around my neck in Wellywood, New Zealand, with the words “You are an international Maori who is meant for the world. This taonga symbolizes our ancestors, who navigated our existence into this world. You, do the same thing”
The taonga rests on a Cotton Force tee shirt, as gifted by Dale Karauria of the Ngati Porou Maori tribe of the East Coast on Dale’s last visit to L.A. Brown cotton stitching on brow with a silver Maori ta moko print overlay.
To Doniece and Dale–thank you both for being friends in Wellywood, New Zealand long before I set out for Hollywood. I wear you both across my heart. Much love and thanks. Sam xox.
Jewish whakatauki of Isaiah: “Ka hoatu ano e ahau ki a koe nga taonga o te pouri, me nga mea huna o nga wahi ngaro, kia mohio ai koe ko Ihowa ahau, e whakahua atu nei i tou ingoa, ko te Atua o Iharaira…. And I will give thee the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places…”

Beverly Hills Fashion Queen News on Hollywood’s Queen in Paris: While Hollywood’s reigning cinematic Queen, Angelina Jolie graced the red carpet at the premiere of her latest spy thriller, Salt, at Le Grand Rex on Tuesday (August 17) in Paris, France. Here in Beverly Hills, Miss Elliette, 87, America’s Queen of Chiffon and the architect of American Business Couture for women fashion designers gave a guided tour in her home, to inspire the children of the good people of Mulholland Drive today, to always create and share one’s art.
As a twenty-something girl’s eyes lit up marveling at the painted fashionable ladies on a vase, like they were living glamazon film stars moving across the vase’s surface as if in a beautiful Hollywood film, I witnessed first hand, the magic of a true artist with her audience.
Miss Elliette is this lady. And her art as a fashion designer still lives.
Thanks ladies for turning on a show today. Here’s how you voted our celebrity topics of interest today. Thank you.
I’m in a complex mood today. So this fashion post from 2007 from fashion commentator, Susan Mower, got my attention. It combines the best of ‘get your freak on French couture’, the elegance of Christian Dior‘s taste, grace and fashion perfection, with a twist of Opera composition starring Italy, America and Japan as sent down the runways of Paris. Here’s Susan Mower‘s words from 2007 doing a starring guest fashion commentary on Horiwood.Com. Light-hearted fun, for your entertainment.
PARIS, January 22, 2007 via Style.Com: ”What psychological process did it take to lift John Galliano to the extraordinary place of brilliance he reached—or rather, rediscovered—in his Spring couture? Everything about the Dior collection—inspired, he said, “by Pinkerton’s affair with Cio-Cio San, Madame Butterfly”—reconfirmed his unique talent to evoke beauty, sensitivity, narrative, and emotion in a fashion show. Kimonos, obis, and geisha makeup were Dior-ified, transformed into delicate translations of New Look peplum suits (more…)
Lindsay Lohan says to Cosmopolitan Magazine‘s cameras that “New York fashion week is a big adrenalin rush in a high energy city. It’s like going to visit Paris, getting off the plane and knowing exactly what you’re getting yourself into.”
The hat is back! Lindsay Lohan wears one in this clip.

Vanessa Hudgens is the sweetest naughty girl in Hollywood but it is India’s Top Bollywood Stars who were voted by the worldwide audience as being the hot topic on Sunday on Horiwood.Com. Indian dance numbers rule!
OMG! Why oh why, Kellan Lutz who plays Emmett Cullen in Twilight and New Moon, felt the need to drop his trou, to his pubes on display is beyond us. The dude has one eye more lop-sided than Mariah Carey, but like Mariah we still think Kellan is good entertainment. A great body! Props! Lady Gaga, without all of the bull shizzle.. but just on piano as she sings… is totally an artist. All the over stuff she does with disco sticks, disco balls stuck on clothes, wigs, buttons and bows… not so much.
True art is a bared artistic soul broken raw before the world. That’s why I love this live version of Stefani Germaotta’s Eh, Eh, Nothing Else I Can Say, in Gay Paris.

JACKSON ESTATE SYMBOLS via MISS JANET for HER BROTHER’S GIFTS TO ENTERTAIN

These are the symbols that Jackson’s children and Miss Janet Jackson – MJ’s sister, are presenting to his fans and the world.
There is no more successful American who proved they could cross over and appeal to India, like Michael Jackson. He “lived beyond color lines, geographical borders and boundaries” to paraphrase his sister’s Rhythm Nation lyrics.
He was cross-cultural, all people he saw as being the same. As a culture maker, and America’s King of Pop he saw his role as creating symbology for his fans, so that they could have a sense of global culture that resonated with them all.
