CHRISTINE O’DONNELL ON TAX CUTS, HOW JOBS ARE CREATED, AND A FEW THINGS AMUSING AMERICA – 12.8.10
Christine O’Donnell is quoted saying: “At a speech Tuesday night in Virginia, Christine called Obama’s tax cut deal that included the extension of unemployment benefits a “tragedy” comparable to the attack on Pearl Harbor and the death of Elizabeth Edwards, The Hill reported.
“Tragedy comes in threes,” O’Donnell told the audience. “Pearl Harbor, Elizabeth Edwards’s passing and Barack Obama‘s announcement of extending the tax cuts but also extending the unemployment benefits,” she added. On Monday, the President and GOP leaders agreed to keep Bush-era tax cuts in place for all Americans for the next two years and extended jobless benefits for 13 months.
I don’t blame Obama’s government for the 9.8% unemployment rate currently, because I never created a job for anyone else, the last two years. How can I blame Obama for what I didn’t do? One year in the US, I was able to create a job for someone. The last two years, no.
This year, someone unexpectedly created a part time job that they offered me. The timing of the job could not have been better. For this person’s kindness, I will always be thankful. Their actions are what I know of real America, and not what’s in magazines, but the stuff real people are made of here, who build community with sustained effort.

One has to give it to Nicole Richie, that she is astutely aware that the Hollywood star system revolves around the Jolie-Pitt household, who are the current auteurs of the Hollywood star template of this moment.
Richie mobilizes to be near the Jolie-Pitts with her son, (same city, Paris) to make her statement to the world alongwith Angelina’s example–that mothers and their children have a key leadership role in reminding us all, that We Are The World and we can make a marked difference.
Love it from America today via France. Mad (good) celebrity mother love x 2! All we need now if for Madonna and children to gatecrash this hot Jolie-esque, Maddonna and child Hollywood-Parisian party. You know it.

Respect and consideration of others is a healer. Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton buried the hatchet of their supposed feud, to unite and grieve as supportive friends of the Johnson family in the tragic passing of Casey Johnson.
These girls show their class, compassion and manners when the chips are down for other families hit by tragedy. A nice effort.
The Johnson families must be so comforted that both Nicole and Paris numbered Casey in their friends. Richie and Hilton are pretty real in this moment. Good one girls. Casey’s dignity is slightly restored as Nicole and Paris love her family in their time of grief. This is the real Hollywood today in California.

NICOLE RICHIE IS BACK AT HOME IN GLENDALE RECOVERING FROM PNEUMONIA
Nicole Richie is safely back home in Glendale recovering from pneumonia, where she had checked herself into Cedar Sinai Hospital, for medical attention.
Husband Joel Madden who has been out of the country for the month, is now back in Glendale with his wife and two children.

A rep for the Nicole Richie tells Usmagazine.com, that Nicole has checked into Ceders Sinai Hospital Los Angeles where “she is being treated for pneumonia. She is doing well.”

SPARROW MADDEN SAYS HI PEOPLE
Nicole Richie proudly debuts her 6 week old son, Sparrow Madden to the world via People Magazine.
He’s only 6 weeks old and Sparrow Madden can do a mean close up! Not to be upstaged by her mom and lil bro, Harlowe Madden is doing adorable paparazzi poses with rocker dad, Benji Madden.
To see how baby Sparrow Madden could grow up to be an artist in Hollywood like Walt Disney, go here. (It won’t be hard. Sparrow can start with drawing one of his dad Joel’s 200 tattoos. By the time he draws all 200, he will be Walt!)
Seriously though, nice family photos for People Magazine from Nicole and Joel. I love the running side bar, which features Nicole’s late godfather, Michael Jackson, dads who sell their kids for Publicity (Richard Heene) and my favorite, The Secret Lives of Alcoholic Moms.
It always costs a star a lot, when they land the holy grail of celebrity tabloid covers, like Richie just has. The bigger the star, the more ridiculously the headlines beside their name. Nice one Nicole Richie! Your best work yet.

OH DEER!
A deer crashes into a restaurant and is caught on tape.
When I first moved to California, I lived in Glendale. It is a pretty city, about 30 minutes away from Hollywood in traffic via the 134 East Freeway.
You know? the Freeway where Nicole Richie, drove the wrong way when she wasn’t invited to Les Deux nightclub when Paris Hilton was being mean, and went clubbing with Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan and Nicole wasn’t invited?
We all thought “Oh dear” when Nicole acted out. Richie made headlines for a week at the time. Nicole Richie and husband, Joel Madden, now live in Glendale too and Richie is so much more stable staying out of Young Hollywood’s night spots.
Growing into one’s celebrity skin in Hollywood can be awkward, as Richie once showed. It takes all kinds to give all of the animated and colorful shades of true life Hollywood stories. The city is surreal, it takes time to adjust in it. I love living here. You’re often caught saying “Oh deer” as you see the freakiest things around you!
NICOLE RICHIE IS HOSPITALIZED AFTER BEING CHASED BY PAPARAZZI
Can’t a mother just drive to Beverly Hills from Glendale safely on LA roads for supplies? No. Not if you’re Nicole Richie.
The goddaughter of the late Michael Jackson; Lionel Richie’s daughter and mother of Harlowe Madden and Sparrow Madden–had her car rear-ended by paparazzi in Beverly Hills, Monday.
Lt Tony Lee of The Beverly Hills Police Department told People Magazine: ”Ms. Richie was driving with a passenger around 2 p.m. when she was struck by two photographers driving in one vehicle behind her. She complained of pain. Her car sustained moderate damage. No paramedics were called to the scene. She told officers she was going to seek her own medical treatment.”
What he meant to say was: “Basically, we haven’t seen anything this crazy from paparazzi in LA for a while. Probably since Britney Spears pink wig days.”
Let’s hope Nicole recovers quickly from any injury or strain. Scary! She has a newborn baby to take care of! The paparazzi was unlicensed and their car has been taken into Police custody.
