Michelle Obama is already in Hawaii with Malia Obama and Sasha Obama enjoying Kailua Beach for the family’s scheduled vacation. The First Family await Mr Obama‘s arrival from Washington DC. The President is expected to touch down in Hawaii tomorrow (Wednesday) to join his family.
Residents will soon feel the full impact of a presidential visit, AP reports via USA Today: The Secret Service began alerting residents of spacious homes along Kailuana Place last week that checkpoints will soon go up. Hawaiian Telecom personnel were busily repairing telephone wiring outside one of the Obama homes, which sit midway down a cul-de-sac.
Once authorities throw up a cordon around the neighborhood, simple pleasures like walking the beach or canoeing in a canal near the three houses will become difficult — if not impossible.
The Democratic president is not expected to engage in fundraisers or other overtly political acts. Dante Carpenter, chairman of the Hawaii Democratic Party, said he’s asked if Obama could be enticed into attending even a low-key event, but he hasn’t heard back.
“I think he’s been up to his eyeballs in horse manure and gun smoke, not necessarily in that order,” Carpenter said. “He may be looking for time with his family and that’s about it. I can’t blame him.”

This nutrition act campaign is all kinds of wrong.
It’s simply not true, that the Obama girls have the healthiest school lunches in America. They do not have Miss Elliette’s best heirloom tomatoes in their school lunches yet, so how can they possibly have the best nutrition at all over other kids?
Without having access to Miss Elliette’s finest tomatoes Malia Obama and Sasha Obama are under nourished American girls too, just like everyone else’s kids in America.
Leave the Obama girls alone!
ps: Desirae Rogers, please ensure that Malia and Sasha Obama get some of Miss Elliette’s home grown Beverly Hills tomatoe seeds put into Michelle Obama’s Victory Garden at the White House. Thank you. :)

Hi people. Meet Miss E. She’s 86 and has possibly the finest heirloom tomatoes collection in the world. In her youth she blossomed with artistic genius as a fashion designer (on a budget) and was America’s version of France’s Coco Chanel.
Coco of course, has long since faded and passed on (in fact, Emmy awards are about to be given out in her postumous honor in LA), but this American butterfly of fashion design, who soared and conquered the great heights of fashion sales in America nationwide, still walks in life’s garden among us in this great city of Los Angeles.
Miss Elliette is an angel of LA. Our living Emmy of all Angelinos who are blessed to know and love her.
She is so underrated for her contributions to America and having being honored with the presence of her company and perpetual spirit of hope at her dinner table on many occasions, I just adore her. She’s an American eagle of the finest order if ever I have met one or have shared the company of one in America to date.
I think, I would have to say, that Miss Elliette is my most favorite American celebrity. But you can’t have favorites because her entire family all rank pretty ‘up there’ too. They are all nice people. Perhaps proof, that the tomato never falls too far from the vine.
One day, the men of LA stopped to honor this woman’s genius when she was given the keys to the city of LA for her contributions to the fashion industry, to business in America and of course; her inspiring business development for the City of LA in the fashion world. Her dresses are masterpieces of heirloom chiffon, and they still sell on e-bay today.
As you can see, Miss E is still blossoming with her creative hands and extraordinary vision, more stronger than ever. Her life stories are as fascinating and entertaining as an Oscars Awards show! But, for today, let’s just talk about her amazing tomatoes!!!
Barack, Michelle, Malia and Sasha Obama were in Ghana, Saturday, July 11th. On hand to greet them were the Ghanaian honor guard band.
That little Sasha Obam fierce looks like a mini Aretha Franklin, don’t she? Just sayin!
The Obama family spent their 4th of July celebrations with… military families. Momma M, got her way on this one.oth Barack and Michelle were snapped doting on their two daughters, Malia and Sasha, at an event where military families were honored on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, D.C.
Malia absolutely adores her dad, whereas in this pic, young Sasha is busting her diva Aretha Franklin poses for the paps. :)
New Zealand supermodel and reality TV Show star Rachel Hunter, 39, has just been dumped by her 27 year-old, hockey playing Fiance, Jarret Stoll. Hunter who has starred in: The Real Gilligan’s Island, Dancing with the Has-Beens, Style Me, Celebrity Paranormal Project, Make Me A Supermodel, Celebrity Circus reality TV shows is said to be devastated by the news. The couple were due to walk down the aisle in two months time.
Despite Hunter’s heartache… the spirit of fun and laughter is alive and well today in Hollywood. LA is such a fun loving city! As a New Zealander, I love living here. Here’s 10 hot entertainment posts right now coming to you from The City of Angels on Horiwood.Com. Enjoy! :)
After Nick Jonas flew to Washington to meet with President Obama and his daughters Malia Obama and Sasha Obama, his next bit of press was appearing on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine with his Jonas Brothers bandmates, brothers Joe and Kevin.
Not bad for a young pop star, whose nicknamed ‘Mr President’ by his family. Rolling Stone Magazine has become more youth centric with the last two covers featuring American Idol’s runner up, Adam Lambert and pop sensation, Lady Gaga. A nice cover of the JoBros.
It was the Obama family, who first teamed entertainers, Usher and Corbin Bleu together on their Inaugural Eve Celebrations with the Disney Inaugural kids telecast.
Both Usher and Corbin Bleu were guest hosts of the celebrations which starred Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers, who performed for US Military families and also Malia, Sasha and Michelle Obama.
Now the Usher and Corbin are maintaining their momentum to celebrate good in the world. This time they pitched in at the 16th annual Do Something Awards – recognizing young people and their community service – at the Apollo Theater in New York on Thursday. Corbin emceed the event.
Today is all about.. Do Something in the world for others, on Horiwood.Com (as is every day of our lives :). To make a big difference today, join Horiwood.Com and Angelina Jolie in making a difference for the refugee children of Darfar’s plight in the world. Thanks team.
Now there is no denying that ONE family deserve an overseas vacation this year. Thankfully the Obama kids, Malia and Sasha are going to get that with their famous parents Barack and Michelle Obama. Go girls!
[image source] In his address of his historic first 100 Days in Office as America’s 44th President of The United States, Barack Obama was full of gratification, gratitude, reflective wisdom and a tone of sincere leadership with the mammoth task at hand concerning realigning America to meet the rigors she faces in the crises of a global recession.
In particular, I liked these things about his address: he got the budget passed whether we agree with the way the money will be spent or not!, he’s offered a tax break to 95% of all American working families who are hanging on for dear life in these challenging times. He’s also thinking of 11 million US children who didn’t have adequate health insurance while trying to address the housing bubble crises here in the US.
He stands by his main four areas of redress in his presidency (education reform, renewable energy reform and its innovative development that will create new employment for Americans, health care infrastructure reform which will save billions; and… better foreign affairs relations in moving forward in peace and not with a war narrative of bullying ignorant destruction which costs America a lot of money for generations later to pay).
It fascinates me, that he feels America is a beacon of hope for weary travelers around the world. Personally, I have never worked harder, from the moment I touched down on American soil in my life. As a foreign press reporter, and a guest in America, the country has offered many moments for character growth for me personally in trying to see, find and engage in an American point of view that is more internationally friendly and relevant in a forum that I can give my view as an equal and global citizen of value. I do hold a Masters degree and I look forward to more intelligent banter with my fellow world citizens here in America, in the future. This excites me and yes, America still excites me too. We love her, whether we are from within her shores or not! She’s a great country, to be cherished, encouraged, strengthened and not depleted, for the good of the world. This is my hope and belief as I write from and live in Hollywood, California each day.
At times, engaging in dialogue with Americans has been a challenge for me to create access points towards a sense of global fairness with Americans from a basis of ‘what’s best and fair’ for the world, more so than any other country or culture that I’ve been exposed too, so I am glad that the new President is addressing foreign affairs, the psychological debilitating and paralyzing disease of that once constructed delusion of American over-entitlement, international relations concerning the American people and ‘the other’ outside of the bloodlines born within American shores or granted its citizenship status.
Barack Obama’s aggressive drive to be seen as more fair with world leaders of other nations is positive for America and the world, and is perhaps pivotal in making America stronger and healthier and more transparent for dialogue with other nations and the world. It’s when we dialogue that new gifts are exchanged between on culture and nation to another. We are all in this together and America’s new leader knows this so well. It’s heartening to see and be a part of here.
I also love the fact that President Barack Obama, seeks wisdom from world leaders before him, whether they are living or have passed on in the cannons of history. An eagle must find the food from other eagles who have navigated the world’s blustery winds before. Obama does this, very humbly by quoting Winston Churchill, the famous UK prime minister with stout leadership skills, on the topic of torture. Here’s what he said:
“I was struck by an article that I was reading the other day talking about the fact that the British during World War II, when London was being bombed to smithereens, had 200 or so detainees. And Churchill said, “We don’t torture,” when the entire British — all of the British people were being subjected to unimaginable risk and threat.” The overall view being, that if you disrespect even your enemies humanity, it will eventually corrode the character of your own nation and people. So wise!
America is in good hands. President Barack Obama’s full transcript of his First 100 Days speech follows. Enjoy! Peace Ya’ll, Sam Cruickshank of Horiwood.Com
In her first 100 Days as First Lady of America, and perhaps most significantly, her historic place in American history as the nation’s first African American First Lady, Michelle Obama has done everything right.
Already today, Tribe Horiwood.Com is already shattering the website’s record, set yesterday for record growth. Thank you all. It’s awesome that you love coming to Horiwood.Com for your Hollywood Entertainment News each day.
Here’s Britney Spears, Circus (I Got You Crazy) Remix to celebrate both President Barack Obama’s First 100 Days in Office and Michelle, Sasha and Malia Obama’s First 100 Days in The White House as well as the fact that you’re #1 on Horiwood.Com. :)
I’ve just read this amazing article by Peter Wallston and Faye Fiore on how the Obamas do press. It is perhaps one of the best articles on the topic of “Media Representation” available to read. For example, you learn things like: Sasha and Malia Obama are not allowed to be photographed without one of the two parents in the picture by The White House photographers. And what has not been said in here, but should be, is that First Puppy, Bo Obama, even has a carefully constructed media profile and a press schedule as a new member of the Obama family too. Bo’s pedigree with a touch of Kennedy in it, (more…)
Bo is named after Bo Diddley, the singer. Diddley was First Lady Michelle Obama’s father’s nickname.
Senator Ted Kennedy, gifted Bo to the Obama girls. Bo has a Kennedy-Obama pedigree. Bo is not a mutt.
That’s how a First Dog is created in America. Bo is a show biz dog. In this pic he pays tribute to Barack Obama’s home state in Hawaii. Bo is black. In America, we like that.
Meet Bo’s second namesake: (more…)
