MADONNA LAUNCHES HER HARD CANDY GYM FRANCHISE
Madonna is pictured launching her first Hard Candy Gym in Mexico City. The Material Girl says:
“If any of you have seen my shows, you know that I don’t skimp on them and the same is true for the gym. We spend what it takes to make a globally first-class gym. Our plan is to use Mexico as a place to fine-tune our brand and then expand it to other countries and, in the long term, develop a global brand that includes the United States.
Membership is $860 down (how else is Madonna going to make the Forbes Top celebs list next year?) and then in third month it is $40 per week to be a gym bunny a la Madonna.
[If Madonna wanted to stand for Governor of California and be in the running after Gerry Brown has had his turn, she is certainly doing all the right moves to get California voters attention here. Arnold Scwharzenneger spent the first part of his life in the gym, the next part of his life on movie sets--before he took office as Governator. I see where this going! Good for her. *jokes*]

MADONNA SAYS BULLYING WORKS UNDER A VENEER OF GOSSIP
Madonna popped up today on the Ellen Show to talk about teen bullying. When Ellen asked if Madonna talks to her kids about the topic. Madonna had this to offer as parenting tips on the matter:
“We talk a lot about the importance of not judging people who are different. Not judging people who don’t fit into our expected view of what’s cool and what isn’t. Think about it across the board.”
On fixing the problem: “If you want to talk about solutions or how can we solve this problem, try to get through the day each and everyone of us without gossiping about somebody. And not only that. Not even listening to gossip. Walking away from it. Can you imagine what your day would be like? How much more free time you’d have? I also feel like you’d feel about better about yourself.”

RETRO MADONNA MUSIC – TELL ME
Right now in Hollywood on Halloween, I’m listening to a retro Madonna track, Tell Me.
It reminds of a kid named Samyah Powell who wants to be a cowgirl to help tell a story of adventurous nationhood, for all the kids down in New Zealand.
Cute. A hip hop influenced dancer like Madonna, Samyah wants to use her talent as the Milky Bar Kid, to promote the best white chocolate in the world, made with quality milk from healthy dairy cows in green New Zealand.
I think Madonna would agree, that white chocolate for Americans, should be the finest in the world, to promote. She’d be in full cream support of Samyah’s choice to act on such an important matter. Strong country pictures, strong nation.

MADONNA AND CHILDREN HIT UP MACEYS
If you’re Lourdes Leon it must be weird living in a family circus, where your mother is more famous for being a rebel than you are, your brother loves break dancing in public and your friend Taylor Momsen may like you, may not, or just wants your mothers music fanbase.
The sooner Lourdes starts acting and singing the better, but it’s nice to see her having some semblance of a childhood. Then again, Michael Jackson ‘s kids haven’t even bothered, they’re happy licensing his name to new products and having sign off on products their estate co-produces. Lourdes could do the same.
It’s also great to see Madonna rocking out with her kids. She looks good.

MADONNA’S RUMORED $1 BILLON, FIVE YEAR VEGAS SHOW DEAL
Although Madonna has signed a $160 million ten-year deal with concert promotors Live Nation, The Sun UK is reporting today that Madonna has just been offered a five year residency in Las Vegas, for a rumored $1 billion.
The logistics of this price tag offer are being debated all over the internet at the minute.
Good publicity rumors for Madonna today. She incites imagination for bullish American entertainment. And isn’t that what entertainment leaders do? They loan a face to an idea for all entertainers, that could be possible. What a benchmark setter, even if this is a rumor or truth.
I’m all for Madonna earning a billion bucks. Ciccone is always listed in the top three celebrities who give the most income to charity outside of Warren Buffet and Bill Gates‘ big league humanitarian club. She deserves a billion bucks. :)

On July 13th, our beloved, graduated for the 2nd time, to a much better place. She died with a peaceful and jubilant smile on her dial. She was sweet, elegant, wise as an el, charming, intelligent, gorgeous with an American vocabulary to die for and most of all – family-centric and community loving. Already, I miss her presence, humor, scent, gracefulness in this world.
In honor of her life, which offered inspiration and redemption, like a turning point, in many a person’s ’Hollywood’ story, the top ten tonight, has been highjacked to paint a picture, over a month, of who Aunt Elvira and her family are. Here we go :)

AGELESS COMMUNITY by MADONNA for D & G
Madonna is ageless as she covers the life spectrum, for her latest Dolce & Gabbana campaign. Photoshopping artistry aside, I love the way this campaign, shows an Italian-American superstar, set in a photo-realism world, to create the feel of a star, returning to her roots and her hood.
Nice one. How a society cares for their young and elderly, shows the measure of their civilized systems worth. Madonna gives a good commentary in two images here, to create a sense of community ties.
In our family its time for babies soon. :)

GLEE WANTS A MADONNA SEQUEL
The secret formula for sequels being greenlit is simple. Money begets money. Access Hollywood reports that Glee is getting a Madonna sequel.
This is a real testament to how much Madonna’s music is loved by all Americans. Congrats.
And also… how well the adorably tough, Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) can hang up her track suit, slap on some lippy and work the tweety bird feathers to Vogue baby Vogue.
Glee is reportedly Madonna‘s favorite kids show for her daughter Lourdes to watch. It’s about young people having fun, expressing themselves through the arts and education in community. A great message.

Madonna covers Interview magazine with another powerful statement as a visual artist and the Queen of Pop music from America.
As depicted in these artworks on the Rhetoric of American prosperity, Madonna says that a successful attitude for women is wearing a set of knuckle busters over a lace glove (or… punch above your weight to grow the economy).
She also wears a pirate patch–denoting two things… pirate me, to get ahead–and that America needs to be like a pirate, going out to other ships (nations) to make money in other economies to bring back inside America.
I love this statement today from Madonna–a leader who has been a top earner for over two decades. The best thing about Madonna is that she gives at leasst $6 million each year to her favorite charitable causes. What a lady.

GAGA’S LET’S POISON MADONNA COCKTAIL: BRENDAN SULLIVAN ON LADY GAGA for ESQUIRE
Can you believe this? Lady Gaga is a little tired of doing her own paparazzi! Lol!
Brenda Sullivan a novelist who knows Stefani Germanotta well from back in the day, before she became Gaga was put to good use, to do Gaga for her. That way, ‘technically’ Lady Gaga didn’t allegedly say anything. Here’s Brendan’s speel on Gaga for Esquire Magazine. Says Brendan, “Lady Gaga has work to do. She’s a manager, and the client she manages is Lady Gaga. She is obsessive, a style she learned from people like her friend the late Alexander McQueen, the fashion designer for whom she was a muse. The most important thing you should know about Lady Gaga is that she has just started. The four number-one singles on her debut album (five if you count the deluxe version with “Bad Romance”), the sold-out world tour last year at age twenty-three — she doesn’t see these as her moment. To her, this is the foundation.”
And of course, Gaga’s newest puppet has a little dig at Madonna as well, when he writes: that Germanotta also sees herself as a future “grandmother of pop music.” Because playing the age card back on Madonna is both cruel and unecessary from Gaga’s camp, I felt the need to just write that sentence. Time, produces pop queens. Age does not and should not diminish from them. Manners please. Accomplishments Vs Agism curelty is a much better look, than just naked blonde ambition. :)
Meow! There’s enough fame and money to share all round with both Madonna and Gaga being pop stars. It’s just about sharing a spotlight, and regardless how old stars get, Betty White is proof–that aging stars will not be poisoned by younger stars–so, Gaga’s camp should just mind their manners and just behave! Of course, Gaga never said any of this, “Brendan” did, so apologies to the fabulous Gaga in advance to make my point that age is nothing but a number.

“GAZA CITY — The women were bleary-eyed, their voices weak, their hands red and calloused. How could they be expected to cook and clean without water or electricity? What could they do in homes that were dark and hot all day? How could they cope with husbands who had not worked for years and children who were angry and aimless?
Sitting with eight other women at a stress clinic, Jamalat Wadi, 28, tried to listen to the mental health worker. But she could not contain herself. She has eight children, and her unemployed husband spends his days on sedatives.
“Our husbands don’t work, my kids are not in school, I get nervous, I yell at them, I cry, I fight with my husband,” she blurted. “My husband starts fighting with us and then he cries: ‘What am I going to do? What can I do?’ ”
The others knew exactly what she meant.
The Palestinians of Gaza, most of them descended from refugees of the 1948 war that created Israel, have lived through decades of conflict and confrontation. Their scars have accumulated like layers of sedimentary rock, each marking a different crisis — homelessness, occupation, war, dependency.
