At the Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen, LA premiere, Kim Kardashian said that she was only there because Megan Fox was in the film. “I have a big girl crush on Megan Fox” Kardashian told E! Entertainment. “I think Megan Fox is hot… and I don’t even have girl crushes, ever!” Nice encouragement from KK towards megan Fox’s rising star in Tinsel Town. Love it! Kardashian knows how to work a red carpet for her own press. Tres smart!

I once worked for a publicist in Hollywood that had repped Michael Jackson, Cameron Diaz and Bob Dylan. I was stoked to get a placement in his office.
One day a guy with a book, sent a copy of his self-published book to him in the mail, asking him if he’d be interested in PR-ing the book.
To my surprise, my boss asked an intern to photocopy the whole book, then proceeded to draft a letter to the author saying that he was not interested in PR-ing the book as he did not see much value in it.
He then got on the phone to a publisher friend of his, and pitched a book idea of his own, that was basically the concept of the unknown authors work he had just stolen acquired. It was a sad day, and I knew I wouldn’t last long working for someone like that.
I share the story as it reminds me a little bit of the Elizabeth Hasselbeck drama that is currently going down with her new book right now. (more…)
