I love me some Gin. But this gin is the only Gin I’m allowed. Real gin makes me cry.
Thankfully, there is pop star Gin Wigmore, to remind me that a Gin a day, keeps the stress away. (It’s the rule the dearly departed Queen Mother used to live by! And she lived to be a hundred!)
The exquiste songstress, Gin Wigmore, from New Zealand has just been signed to Motown Records. Quite unusual for a blue eyed blondie from down under, but Gin is different. The girl has husky soul.
It’s an honor for New Zealand to produce an artist to be positioned and sit alongside such Motown greats, like the Jackson 5, Smoky Robinson et al. Now,we have Gin Wigmore – a Motown legend in the making.
Just listen to These Roses by Gin Wigmore. She’s like Amy Winehouse and Lady Gaga fused together and her star is on the rise. I love great new music. I love people who can actually sing live. I love Gin Wigmore.

To purchase Gin Wigmore’s debut album - Download her EP on ITunes. Enjoy!
Gin Wigmore has got a unique sound. She sounds even more fierce with Smashproof of New Zealand. This is the longest standing #1 New Zealand pop music hit, in the history of New Zealand homegrown music. Love that KiwiPop sound, and Gin Wigmore is a stunner.
At the recommend of my girlfriend, Dale, via twitter, here’s Miss Gin. She is New Zealand’s version of Duffy, but like all things in New Zealand, she’s much prettier and grittier in her authenticnesss of course! Go Gin Wigmore!

New Zealand pop star, Lady Hawke’s song Back of The Van is making me a little homesick today in Hollywood. Here she is performing at Koko.
Lovesit! Go girl!
New Zealand hip hop band Smashproof have a sound that would rock LA Freeways in peak drive time. Nice to see Maori and Polynesians creating world class hip hop music in the Aotearoa hood.
Sing it up my brothaz! We’re listening to you in Hollywood. :)
The reggae band Herbs and music legend, Dave Dobbyn once collaborated down under in New Zealand for the animated movie, Footrot Flats by cartoonist and filmmaker Murray Ball. It’s a film about a farm dog who is in love and his farmer owner, whose also in love.
Kinda like a Shakespearean play really where the major story line parodies the minor storyline. The dog is the star though. Of course!
The movie’s title song is called a Slice of Heaven. It’s an oldie but a goodie. Let’s press play on this retro Kiwi Pop hit, here in Hollywood.
Kiwi Pop is world famous ya’ll. You know it! By the way, Herbs are a hori (Maori band). So…… Enjoy!
I love me some Hinewehi Mohi. She brings the ethereal vocals of a Maori princess to the techno electro beats of an Underground UK night club world.
When this song is on full blast in Hollywood, the Latino’s all turn around and stare. You just know that Shakira would just totally pop her hips to Hinewehi’s unique sound and beautiful music.
Hinewehi Mohi of the group Oceania is just so stunning in every way. She’s like a walking aria whose heart is warmer and brighter than her amazing vocal talent.
I love wahine (Maori women) who can sing. They are the 8th wonder of the world. They are found richly in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
Robert Pattinson and Megan Fox may be the pick for hottest actor and actress by American teens at The Teen Choice Awards, this week, but it’s your own choices on Horiwood.Com tonight that show your eclectic tastes in entertainment and celebrity news. Love it!

Like New Zealand music icon, Sharon O’Neal, indie popstar LadyHawke also of New Zealand, is a blonde on a mission of original song writing ability with a distinctly down under pop sound.
We love her.
Kiwi blonde girls are unbeatable with their originality in music. Look out Lady Gaga! Sharon O’Neils big hit, Maxine, from 1983 was on the TV when LadyHawke was born.
Like LadyHawke, these girls know how to pic up guitars and write world inspiring lyrics. Check them out too. They’re gem cutters of soulful song. When you grow up in beautiful, New Zealand, dubbed God’s Own (or A Slice of Paradise), you can’t help but capture a snapshot of life in pretty songs. All these pop princesses do that so well. It goes with the the territory.
