Kelly Clarkson is a singer/ comic genius sometimes, you can’t help but like. First up, she was voted by the people, to be an American pop star. Secondly, she can actually sing. Thirdly, she’s honored the peoples choice and she can deliver live, song-after-song-after song, in emotive exquisite quality. I like her.
Here’s ten tweets from a diva of American music, whose the real deal to see live in concert. Topics in bold.
Parenting: When you have a following, you’re a parent. As a reminder, Clarkson tweets: “Don’t know if y’all watched ‘Parenthood’ last night but it was great!” [subtext: America, parent our teenagers and kids].
On Mentoring and Sharing with younger singers: “@TheRealJordin I really wanna come c u in NY! Don’t b surprised when I show up ha!”
On recording new material: “Just finished up w/Jason Halbert in the studio. It’s one of my favorites and it’s called “you still won’t know what it’s like”.
On being a big Reba fan: “Just heard ’till you love me’ & ‘forever love’ by my favorite red head &thinking man she kicked @$$ then & still does now! Right on Reba!:
On supporting good white boy bands: visibility: “Didn’t get a chance 2 tweet how amazing The Black Keys/The Kings of Leon were the other night! Both bands r so talented that I might quit :)
On what her mom does to lift ‘rock star persona expectations’ off her daughter’s shoulders: “My mom is a retired teacher that goes to shooting ranges, gets tattoos, and goes to concerts with me. She might be the greatest mom ever.”
On hanging out with cops to learn a thing or ten: “My friends Kelly & Matt (who’s a cop) took me and some friends to the shooting range and oh my goodness it was fun!!”
On discovery other artists music you like: “I have been listening to Josh Turner’s song “why don’t we just dance” on repeat …..I freakin love this song, it makes me happy.” And – “In case y’all don’t have a copy yet, you need to go get or download Ray Lamontagne‘s new cd “God Willin’ & The Creek Don’t Rise” …so good!:
On America’s teen situation: “everybody check out my friend’s new book “Fatherless Generation” by John Sowers!”
On spooky books: “A great book to read right now ….One Second After by William R Forstchen ….very eye-opening/scary.”
On what she called her first puppy: “@lauramcmaster86 His name is Security and he is my little maltese puppy ….so yes :).”
Can you imagine Clarkson walking everywhere, yelling Security with her dog. So funny.
Black Keys: Tighten Up
Hairography is what girls do–who want more attention than their talents warrent. Hairography fuels the pop divas marketing game, more so than a good voice.
Kelly Clarkson is one of the best live singers in the pop divas game. She’s got the voice. However, many other pop divas have a bigger ego than she does–without the calibre of voice Clarkson has. Here’s three funny takes on that reality Clarkson finds herself in.
1. Kelly Clarkson does not rely on wigs to get press (yes, Beyonce and Lady Gaga). This is the link to her new track called Wash, Rinse, Repeat–which Clarkson alludes to the fact that girls who wear wigs and extensions can’t do… all that easily. Love it! Pop Eater describes the song as ‘a fiery new tune.’
2. Kelly Clarkson remains the #1 selling American Idol of All Time. Go here.
3. Kelly takes on songwriter Ryan Tedder about giving Beyonce the Halo song, and not her. Just kidding. According to The Prophet Blog, Kelly is giving Tedder a piece of her mind, in these song lyrics.
My thoughts are Kelly just needs to be writing more of her own songs, to facilitate the amazing gift of her voice and the way it is presented to the world.
As my sister, Cherry is a singer and went to see Kelly live in concert in New Zealand recently, go here to read a review about Kelly’s live performance at the Orange County Fair, last time she came anywhere near performing a live concert in LA! :)
And although I jibe about Beyonce and Lady Gaga working their wigs and their weaves to get press, no one seems to utilize hairography better than Britney Spears–who according to Nielsen is the #1 selling female artist of the last decade. Wow! Maybe Kelly should dance a little more in her music videos. It pays off for Brit Brit.

How exciting. The uber-talented, real deal live singing pop star, Kelly Clarkson has confromed that she is joining Sarah McLachlin‘s Lilith Fair festival. Lilith Fair is going to be so awesomery this year. Nothing but diva vocalists with true talent, little ego…. uniting as a song bird sistahood, to sing from America. Wowsa! Too much. I’m so going to see her!
Kelly Clarkson, as an American Idol winner, adds her star profile to these talented women who will be singing at Lilith Fair also: Beth Orton, (more…)
Lies. Walking After Midnight. All I Ever Wanted, sung live in Munich by Kelly Clarkson are reminders of how talented this woman really is. Wow!
A vocalist’s dream feast on display in the way Clarkson effortlessly scales the octaves with so much soul and notably with only 1/4 of the ego of more popular female vocalists. She’s a superstar singer.

Because, Taylor Swift, sung off key at her Grammys performance and came under fire (it’s the order of show biz, to take down the top dog, hence outcries about Swift’s less than pitch perfect performance); her manager, Scott Borchetta, slammed American Idol winners instead, saying that Swift was not one of those and that everyone could just suck it. He also said a whole bunch of other crap too.
Well, America’s original American Idol winner and most successful too, Kelly Clarkson just totally owned his irresponsible shooting-at-the-mouth, blame-shifting nono, by uploading this post on her website a few hours ago:
“Wow …..Dear Scott Borchetta,
In show biz, there’s often never an appropriate time to hire or fire people, as the show must go on.
In 2005 Kelly fired her guitarist onstage, mid song. Diva’s… gotta love them.

Kelly Clarkson is one of my most favorite American singers. She’s just so real and she’s got the voice to deliver. Her performance of Already Gone at the AMAs was a knock out. So I thought I’d press play on it again here in Hollywood.
I’d seen Kelly singing the song live at the Orange County Fair where she had her last ‘LA’ concert, while I munched on barbecued sweet corn. One of the times I felt most American ever!
Why waste good TV moments of the best singing talent in the world? Darn, have to play this one out again. :)
I am not alone in my love for Kelly Clarkson’s divalicous status here in the US. Kelly is the 12th most googled celebrity female of 2009 on google. Her real American girl next door charm is endearing. She’s sweetness and light in a recession. Love her!
Press play to fall in love with Kelly Clarkson again and thank God for this woman. Amazing!

A true diva of song, can sing live. Joining 2009′s concert divas like Beyonce in a quest to give a respectful tribute to Alanis Morissette’s contribution to pop and rock, Kelly Clarkson covers Alanis’ That I Would Be Good song, with the King’s of Leon‘s Use Somebody song.
Man, this girl can sing! Beneath her humble jeans and tee shirt attire, Clarkson proves that true divas of song, don’t come much better than she does. Wow!
Kelly Obsourne made both her dad, Ozzy Osbourne glow with pride and her mum, Sharon Osbourne when she danced her cankles off last night on Dancing With My Career Comeback The Stars.
What was most shocking, was how skinny Kelly Osbourne looked. Kelly puts her weight loss down to “dancing for 5 hours every day.”
What a little mini young Lady Diana, Kelly Clarkson has grown up to be. Footage of her mom, Sharon Osbourne crying tears of joy is here. How sweet!
Kelly Clarkson, one of my favorite pop stars, because she CAN actually sing, tells Now Magazine of the UK:
“I have to admit, I’m a big fan of my bubble butt.” Cute!
Good for her! We love your butt and every part of you too Kelly! For being yourself–at any cost, against the huge pressure to conform to the constructed beauty myths of show biz that aren’t even real 90% of the time… You rock! Love ya and Rock on! [image via: PopEater]
Kelly Clarkson’s back up singers Jill & Kate can sing. In that grab a guitar around the campfire way… and then they just blow ya socks off with their talent.
Here’s Jill & Kate with their +1 guest, Kelly Clarkson, singing Miley Cyrus’ hit The Climb. Yummy alto harmony! Kelly wants you to know, Miley rocks and her girls are Diva’s too. How sweet. Beautiful American music!
VH1 Divas has returned to the small screen! Woot! Here’s what diva Kelly Clarkson had to say:
“I never thought that at 27 years of age, that I would be so business minded as a diva. But I’ve had to be. Part of being a diva for me, is to manage an empire. I’m the last person who goes to sleep at night in my team.”
This girl is not only business-minded but holy guacamole Kelly Clarkson can SING! Her performance of Already Gone was awesome, Thursday. Love her!!!
We saw her in concert only 2 weeks ago at Orange County. Why Self Magazine feels the need to slim Kelly down in photoshop, when the whole point of Self Magazine should be “just be yourself” is a mystery.
At the Orange County Super Fair, where Kelly Clarkson performed, deep fried cheesecake was on offer. I really wanted to get some, but the West Hollywood manorexia was screaming “no, don’t do it.” So I didn’t. Biggest regret ever!!! :)
The ironic thing about Kelly Clarkson, is that she’s as real as they come. She is fully comfortable being two sizes bigger then what this magazine cover depicts her as being. She really is happy with herself. You had that feeling with from the moment she entered the stage to her awesome finale.
She’s a great role model in show biz for Self Magazine. I just wish the photoshoppers had just let Kelly be herself on their cover. That would have been so much more powerful! So much more, what she’s about. She’s one of the best singers, America has. Her vocal talent is her exquisite beauty behind the cute face and her hazel eyes.
Gossip Girl star, Ed Westwicke took a note from popstar Kelly Clarkson who is a big fan of tee shirt couture’s comfortability and affordability.
Ed was seen out and about running errands in NYC, dressed in a stylized, fashion tee.
Who said fashion needs to be expensive to make a statement as well as be comfortable. Love it. Kelly Clarkson of course, continues to wear personally stylized tees in concert all over America on her All I Ever Wanted Tour.
I love the fact that entertainers are beginning to stay within reach of what their peeps and fans can afford.
So smart! Excess is so last year! Having just said that I believe whole heartedly in paying more money for fashion designers who make quality garments that are well made. Such garments can be classics, tailored to you, and they won’t date.
You do get what you pay for. Happy shopping.

Kelly Clarkson rocked Good Morning America with her premium vocal ability. Having seen her live in concert, Clarkson is amazing. She sounds in concert, as good as her studio CD. Not many artists do these days, but Kelly Clarkson does.
Here’s my favorite song, Listen from Kelly’s New Album. The song is written by Keri Noble, and its lyrics are just stunning. It’s what a true friend will do.
While Mariah Carey, Lil Wayne and Diddy’s new album release dates have been pushed back, Clive Davis is moving Whitney Houston’s I Look To You, comeback album forward by a day. Nice work Whitney Houston! She’s on a comeback roll!
For what she’s gifted the world in music, we love this woman! Here’s 10 Hot Posts Right Now on Horiwood.Com. Enjoy!
Congrats to Mario Lavandeira on establishing his music label, Perezcious music.
Now that he’s in the music biz to position his own artists into music and entertainment markets, it goes without saying that PerezHilton can no longer be trusted to give an opionion on music fairly on other record label’s music talent and artists.
The Black Eyed Peas, Avril Levine, Kelly Clarkson, Diddy, Lil Wayne et al, have fallen victim to PerezHilton’s poisoned pen, in the last few weeks.
Who do you think, the new, unbiased music critic should be in blogland? Any suggestions of great music bloggers who give fair views on music, emerging talented pop stars who deserve a spotlight? Let us know by uploading your thoughts.
It’s fantastic to see a a blogger transition from blogging into music producing though. Wow! Props. But, in pop music, the conflict of interest with any music star on PerezHilton.Com now vetoes Lavandeira’s music critique at all in music.
Pop culture, gossip and entertainment bloggers all over the world, should now step up their pop music sections and contents on their blogs. It’s growth time ya’ll.
On Thursday in Orange County, I was blessed to be gifted a ticket to Kelly Clarkson’s concert experience at the Super Fair in Orange County.
Not only was it a magical, romantic occasion, but Kelly Clarkson is an amazing singer. So real. So down to earth. And she over delivers, exceeding expectations for all concert goers and her fans. Wow! Diva!!!
Here’s her latest music video offering in the exquisite… Already Gone.
~God bless you all~
… my hood, would a Milkshake be named after Lindsay Lohan and the starlet appear in person to whip it up!
Gotta love that Lohan, at 5,000 calories per shake, that’s her monthly intake of total calories in one cup!
Um, at least it wasn’t as many calories as the deep fried twinkie bars or deep fried cheesecake on a stick, offered at the Super Fair in Orange County, before last night’s outstanding Kelly Clarkson concert last night.
No wonder why that Lauren Conrad, ran from the O.C to the Hills of Hollywood so willingly. That fair food in the O.C is just all wrong! :)
It’s amazing what a record company will drag Kelly Clarkson through to sell a record. Like a mac makeup makeover and mega photoshopping.
With Kelly Clarkson though, you can’t help get the feeling that her voice is the real thing. Why fake it up? When we all know that.
Her single, Already Gone… is just beautiful. Buy it, if you haven’t already.
