CHRISTINE O’DONNELL ON TAX CUTS, HOW JOBS ARE CREATED, AND A FEW THINGS AMUSING AMERICA – 12.8.10
Christine O’Donnell is quoted saying: “At a speech Tuesday night in Virginia, Christine called Obama’s tax cut deal that included the extension of unemployment benefits a “tragedy” comparable to the attack on Pearl Harbor and the death of Elizabeth Edwards, The Hill reported.
“Tragedy comes in threes,” O’Donnell told the audience. “Pearl Harbor, Elizabeth Edwards’s passing and Barack Obama‘s announcement of extending the tax cuts but also extending the unemployment benefits,” she added. On Monday, the President and GOP leaders agreed to keep Bush-era tax cuts in place for all Americans for the next two years and extended jobless benefits for 13 months.
I don’t blame Obama’s government for the 9.8% unemployment rate currently, because I never created a job for anyone else, the last two years. How can I blame Obama for what I didn’t do? One year in the US, I was able to create a job for someone. The last two years, no.
This year, someone unexpectedly created a part time job that they offered me. The timing of the job could not have been better. For this person’s kindness, I will always be thankful. Their actions are what I know of real America, and not what’s in magazines, but the stuff real people are made of here, who build community with sustained effort.

Peeps were saying country hottie Jessica Simpson was preggers, but Page Six reports that Jess was hitting the tequila with fiance Eric Johnson, Tuesday pm at Stanton Social, NYC.
She’s most probably not preggers then. Hitting the bar with an entourage of 20 and her dad, a ‘source’ reports: “They were very well-mannered and drank basil lime gimlets, pineapple 75′s, Maker’s on the rocks, margaritas and wine. They ordered a lot of food. Jessica let her guard down enough to steal a few kisses from her fiance. Jessica, Eric and the crew settled on shots of Don Julio to finish out the evening.”
Don Julio is the best. Hangover free.

This via InTouch Weekly: “Less than a week after In Touch exclusively confirmed her engagement, Jessica Simpson celebrated her upcoming nuptials with friends, family and, of course, her fiance, Eric Johnson, at her parents’ Encino, Calif., estate on November 18. The bride-to-be’s mother, Tina, threw a casual party with pizza and finger foods from La Loggia Italian Bistro and roses from Mark’s Garden for 50 guests, including Jessica’s sister, Ashlee, her brother-in-law, Pete Wentz, and her best friend, CaCee Cobb. “Jessica and Eric looked so happy,” an insider tells In Touch. Not all was smooth sailing, however — the singer, who along with her former football player beau arrived two hours late for the soiree, seemed anxious for guests’ approval of her unique ruby engagement ring. “At one point, she asked one of the servers what she thought of the ring. When the server said it was beautiful, Jessica snapped, ‘You don’t mean that!’” the insider says. But all in all, the blond beauty enjoyed her celebration. “Jessica is in love,” the insider adds, “and kept talking about her wedding plans and new life with Eric.”

COWGIRL FEMINISM – JESSICA SIMPSON DOESN’T WANT A PRENUP WITH ERIC JOHNSON
Jessica Simpson News: With news today in the USA, consuming everyone that Jessica Simpson is engaged to ex NFL Footballer Eric Johnson and does NOT want to sign a prenup of her $100 million fortune, this seems to be upsetting everyone. Always a humorist, if you’ve followed Jessica’s career? at all, these are my thoughts on the matter.
1. It’s her money. Who cares? She can do what she wants with it.
2. As an ‘artist’ whose always stood for romance, she asks key questions in the form of this ‘gossip tid bit’ of: what is Love? Is it not always a risk? Isn’t love more important than money? Hilarious and yet so true.
She has a point for her generation, because due to the economy being low, no one’s getting married or having babies here in the US (stats prove these rates are low). The psychological thought ruling America is monetary gain, instead of love or courage in a strong American future to raise kids– predominating, so I like the way Simpson is rolling on this one, to challenge the grinch that has America’s wedding fingers barren and wombs locked up right now, over a stupid “-$” symbol. She’s a bit of a grinch slayer, like a female-David shepherd girl, slaying an invisible giant of debt and fear, strangling America’s emerging generation. She’s armed with a wedding ring rock, and a no-prenup sling. She’s hilarious!
3. Simpson adds value to her star brand, by alluding she’s not about bucks.
4. She shows ‘independence’ from her manager dad, whose not forcing strongly persuading her to sign a prenup.
5. She gives her man, Eric Johnson the max opportunity, to either a) know she loves him more than money and b) lift his game pronto and earn as much as she does.
Good Texan cowgirl wisdom. Let’s see if this spicy taco-loving, singing comedian, skips down the aisle after this couple’s most talked about American engagement of the year.
On a sidenote – Who thought that Jessica is worth as much as Elin Nordegrand post the Tiger Woods divorce, when Jess has never been near a golf iron. She’s surprising. Her new album about ‘love’ is out soon. No matter which way you look at Jessica Simpson, she’s doing modern ‘cowgirl feminism’ for wont of a better term. When girls of today, think being tough or cool, is having ‘total control’ of everything, Jess is doing the opposite. She says, I know a better way than that.
Love gives. Lust controls. She’s Radical.

The “thrilled” singer has recently released her holiday single and like any entrepreneur with stuff to sell, Jess will be on the road with Eric to promote her album in the coming weeks.

Tweets sometimes singer and more socialite these days, Jessica Simpson, her book of the minute: The Complete Idiots Guide to World Religions, along with this caption:
“Prayer comes in many forms” I believe it is important to know/understand what people preach. Fascinating!!!!”
As humorous and light-hearted as Simpson always is, she’s right on the money on this one, as to where the World is at, in terms of stopping war and understanding humanity better in terms of what peoples spiritual values are. So I like her book choice today.
At least atheists religion is easy. They say they don’t have one. Period.
Oh, and in West Hollywood yesterday I saw The Complete Idiots Guide to Islam on a bookshelf at Circus of Books, for $4.95, which I thought was the best score ever. I love the way West Hollywood is a surprising city like that.

After yabbering to Fox News (the #1 news channel in the USA) about many different things, including her love for Jesus, Jessica Simpson has this to say about the topic of Love this Easter friday:
“It’s important for women not to find their confidence in a man. I think you really have to know who you are before you can truly fall in love and give your all, and I don’t think a man can define you. You have to own that,” she told Fox News. “So if you’re ever with anyone who says you should change something about yourself then they should never fall in love with you in the first place.”
Jessica also shared her hopes for a family.
“By ten years I would love to be a mom, I would love just to be in love and be a mom,” she said. “It sounds simple but it’s a lot harder [ than you think.] I’m pretty picky.”
