HEADLINE NEWS: BROWN CLAIMS VICTORY: GOP Sweeps Into Control of House. Political balance shifts to the right.
Yes, this man really is 72 years of age. Still ‘fresh faced’ for politics. So California!
As I blog about emerging stars of Polynesian CoCo-licious, brown persuasion, like Kalani Jones from here in Hollywood, I am staring at this photo of the front page of the Los Angeles Times, with this photo caption.
Historic Night: [Wearing a brown suit] Jerry Brown gets a hug from his wife, Anne Gust as he arrives at the Fox Theater in Oakland on election night. He called for an end to the divisiveness that has torn Sacramento and Washington.
Brown in the Haus on a global political stage. Quite prophetic really in our United States of global Brown.
The world turns and changes again — as a new layer and level of leadership emerges worldwide. Think Brown. Think Green to win.
Jerry Brown to 49.4% of the vote, over, Meg Whitman‘s 45.7% for Brown’s California Governor win. His news, after the jump.

The hot pic of the day is Lady Gaga leaving the Beirut Cafe in Sweden. And while we’re on the topic of Gaga, here’s bassoon quartet Breaking Wind doing their version of Bad Romance. Brils!

A nice pic of Ms Alaska and Ms Sandra Bullock’s Favorite Publicist. This pic–from Time Magazine’s Most Influential People Gala–last night in New York City.
Adorable! The animal and insect kingdoms, remind us today, that no matter who we are, we can still learn from others who are diverse in worldviews to ourselves.
I love this picture for that message. Nature is such a good teacher. Look at these two! Too cute. And for daring to be a teacher in the first place, that’s one very brave prey mantis. ;)

This sculpture is being exhibited in Downtown LA at the moment. Titled ‘Prosperity’ it is part 2, of a wider series titled Prosperity. It says a lot about America’s way forward for her economy’s repair and rebuilding project in this moment.
I am totally loving Californian artists right now. Like, I’m totally obsessed with their honest commentaries on US society. They do pop cultural commentary in their artwork like few others can, on a level that you’d expect, creating art from the Entertainment Capitol of the World. Hot!
And let’s not forget that outside of any corporate system or structure, that an artist is also a self-employed business person. They own their own business and create the product, market it and sell it too–so if anyone perhaps knows what hot trends are that will sell to grow the American economy quicker–artists know… better than most.
And that’s just yet another reason why art is so important and artists have an amazing voice for the world. Let’s look to artists as well as other leaders for their perspective on the world. If we are humble and wise, we just might learn something from them. I’m learning a lot from Californian artists. They pop!
[Image: Snapped fresh by Horiwood, 4.19.2010 --because blogging authenticity has to start with us as a blogging community who say we are based in Hollywood, that others look to, worldwide--adding to/ while we also consume other photographers images each day... so I'm making a conscious effort to grow the arts and wider entertainment news community by snapping and sharing pics too. ;) ]

“I’ve never been to New Zealand, but one of my role models, Xena, The Warrior Princess comes from there”–Madeline Albright
iBaby is growing up to be just too cute. Here she is doing St Patrick’s Day, Gaga styles with her love of hats… and um, this future little supermodel has already started arm wrestling as well. According to her folks, iBaby “isn’t even phased by her very first sports’ injury” either. She’s built tough along with that angelic smile.
Adorable. Watch out Vivienne Jolie-Pitt. :)

True Hollywood french kissing, looks like this. Stopping by your partner’s work for a sneaky kiss, is always so romantic. Especially in gay Paris, The City of Love.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie continue their kissing fest on the set of The Tourist, Angie’s latest movie.

With Oscars just around the corner, the ADHD of A-List stars scrambling for Monday’s headlines in Oscars lead in week… is always at an optimum in show biz… out of any other time in the year.
Class captain, Angelina Jolie, sends a clear message… that Hollywood Star Wars 2010 has officially started, to the Calender of the film year. She is an Angeleno after all. And LA is The Entertainment Capitol of The World.
Family is everything this year, is Jolie’s clear message of Celebrity’s A-List Hollywood standard. I like it.
After Tiger’s misfortunes in the marriage department last year, the concept of family and valuing family for stars and all people… needs to make a bit of a comeback in celebrity land–to close the gap between stars and the realities of their masses of fans worldwide.
Stars have to appear to be relevant. Family values is the ticket for 2010. Yay! It’s Jolie’s job to keep the Hollywood ship on track.
Hot Pic of the Day is: Vivienne Jolie-Pitt’s (Gaga inspired, piled-up-on-top-of-head ’big pom pom motif’ hat). Very cute. A Brown Pom though = British (‘Pommie) Prime Minster Gordon Brown. Interesting. How international of Jolie! Nice.
1. Angelina Jolie presents a United Jolie family of 3 generations of Hollywood megatars in Venice. Wow! Trump that. Who can?
2. Miley Cyrus is looked after by Oscar’s future interests–being added as a youth presenter alongwith Zac Efron, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.
3. Americas other (not the Jolie-Pitts) famous family of Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegran show a united front heading to Arizona.
4. Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller‘s copycat Tiger Woods publicity has run out of steam since Woods’ press conference apology last week. So Mueller has checked out of rehab (again!), blaming the facility for leaking her treatment reasons… because the Sheens are just so famous. Yawn!
5. Jay-Z has got the President’s favorite entertainer, Beyonce, on a yacht with him in Miami–Mavrix Online
6. Johnny Depp starts up his Angelina Jolie press campaign in Venice.
7. Apolo Ono wins his 7th gold medal in the 1000 meters mens sprint on ice, making Ono the Michael Phelps big gold medal winner of the Winter Olympics history.
8. Roman Polanski wins best director Silver Bear, for his film The Ghost Writer in Germany.
9. Lindsay Lohan sites her father’s love of talking about her to paparazzi for attention as being why she tried cocaine in the first place. Lindsay says she now wants to feel emotion.
10. Padhma Lakshmi‘s mystery child is born. Her name is Krishna
11. UK’s Angelina Jolie, it girl, pop star Sheryl Cole ends her marriage with a text.
12. Robert Pattinson looked like crap at the Brit Awards. A miracle that he even could.
13. Abbie Cornish splits from Ryan Philipe. It’s summer in Australia, after all.

Lady Gaga as a pop star is both haute and hot.
Music wise, Stefani Germanotta has also made music history. Bad Romance has clocked up 3 million digital download sales, making Gaga the first artist in history to have 3 songs surpass the 3 million milestone for digital downloads. She’s off the chain!
But what’s up with American stars’ (of pop entertainment and sports) love of reptilian imagery at the moment. Oh… it’s sci fi futuristic. Got it. :)

Samba Schools perform in Rio De Janeiro’s Sambradome. Although infrastructure in Brazil needs major improvements, I think Rio is ready for the 2016 Olympic Games. That’s a pretty good show at carnival 2010. Wow!

Guy Hepner gives one of the best social commentaries of the times from West Hollywood with Lady Gaga and Marilyn Monroe inspired art themes this Valentines Weekend. Sublime. Bold. Punchy. Hot!
This is the American art scene today as told from sunny and beautiful California. Guy Hepner has great tastes in reading pop cultural trends and presenting them to the American aesthetic palate as fine art. Go boy!

Hot pic of the day, has got to go to Oprah Winfrey and Lady Gaga doing Tribe Gaga’s worldwide fan base’s signature pose… of a ‘fierce’ monster claw and a cute smile-grimace… big teeth on display in a land of big dreams whose passionate cultural art form is big, bright, shiny beautiful people.
America is famous for the All American Smile, perhaps spending more money on cosmetic dentistry than any other nation.
My dad in New Zealand always taught me that “a smile is your passport to anywhere.” He was right…. and I love Oprah’s fun Gaga fan pose today. Very cool! Oprah and Gaga are adorable!. :)
This pic defines America today.
