WORD ENTRIES AS LIGHT
The entrance of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.–the ancient poetic illuminating words of Psalmist King David, Ezra and poetic literary, musical friends.

TEN THINGS ABOUT RABBI JOSHUA HAMMERMAN
1. Rabbi Joshua Hammerman has served tirelessly at Temple Beth El for over two decades. Props!
2. He is a fusion cross-over of journalism and rabbinical studies. Deep and useful.
3. His letter of love is his congregation where he’s focused on creating an oasis of “warmth, love and mutual respect befitting for a modern congregation.” A labor of love, not easy to achieve.
4. Like all good spiritual leaders, the burden of “a sense of alienation” sits written across his heart. Acceptance and appreciation from other religious leaders and mainstream audiences is needed perhaps to reaffirm this man’s unique role as a seer for the American people.
5. Reaching spiritual and ethical objectives is what he strives to achieve through honest confrontation of ugly truths masquerading as real truths. This man is all about living beyond fear. He’s about living in light. I dig!
[Music interlude, click here for, grammy winner Amy Grant]
6. He believes in bungy jumping (actually the original word used was ‘delve’) into the “rich vein of Jewish inspiration and wisdom available to us.” As a Maori, he perhaps demonstrates a sense of “tino rangatiratanga” or a sense of imbued “sovereignty” in being a guardian believer of God-given cultural wisdom passed down from ancestors within a culture, like a philosophical art form and science. That’s kinda groovy.
7. Rabbi Hammerman recieved his B.A. from Brown University, Magna Cum Laude, where he twice won the university’s prestigious Bishop McVickar Prize in Religious Studies. Not bad. Dude has passion to learn with brains.
8. Always at a cross-roads between a secular calling and a spiritual one, ‘he also received a masters degree from NYU in journalism and was ordained by the Jewish Theological Seminary.’ Joshua Hammerman is just too trick.
9. “Rabbi Hammerman loves surfing the Internet, rooting for the Boston Red Sox, a good, Israeli hummos, and all things Jewish.” I trust a good fresh tabouleh is within the range of good tastes too, then.
10. He lives with his wife, Dr. Mara Hammerman, a psychologist, two children, Ethan and Daniel, and their two standard poodles, Crosby and Chloe. You can visit him online at joshuahammerman.blogspot.com or www.tbe.org. He is also the author of “thelordismyshepherd.com: Seeking God in Cyberspace”.”
Men like Joshua and Caleb of old–dubbed ‘men of a different spirit’ are always gemstones of any nation. Although I’ve never met him, in spirit I feel I have and I think Rabbi Hammerman, is one cool dude. Rock on!
Josh’s latest update is: “I received an honorary doctorate from the Jewish Theological Seminary this spring.”
Go Josh Hammerman! A man of an excellent spirit.

PEACE MUSICALITY IS PINK AND SEAL FOR HERBIE HANCOCK WITH THE IMAGINE PROJECT – COURAGE TO LOVE :)
Beautiful are the words “We are all the same people” in an “orchestra of life.”–Herbie Hancock.
If we believe in peace; our breath, rhythm, heart, soul languages, bodies, dreams will unite like a river to give voice to it. Hot musicality is Mr Herbie Hancock recording his new album, The Imagine Project around the world. Herbie’s vision transcends differences in the earth’s languages, religions and tongues spoken, to join hearts and minds in a common purpose, that will outlive us all. Smart. The rest, is the small stuff–and let’s not sweat that.
Here’s the project’s electronic press kit for meaningful entertainment today. And, my favorite book, at the minute speaks of the same themes: Courage To Love by author Robert Ellis, also available as a Peace audio book.
With Herbie’s new album–what a fine coordination effort around the world for a great cause.
Vocal courage is popstar Pink and crooner Seal at the 4.30 mark of EPK – Part II, in this video clip. Wow! Harmony for Africa. Love it.
This album has Grammy Winner written all over it.

MA’A NONU IS A RUGBY FOOTBALL STAR WHO IS A POWERHOUSE PLAYING ON THE BLIND SIDE
Meet Mr Ma’a Nonu. He’s a football player who plays for the New Zealand All Blacks rugby football team. Of his prowess as a sports superstar worldwide, the team’s official website says this about Ma’a:
“The explosive, some would say flamboyant, Ma’a Nonu has built a reputation as one of the toughest marks in world rugby, able to break the line, off-load the ball and set up or score scintillating tries.” He’s also a master at running with the football on the blind side, when a moment of football victory calls. I love him.
You can watch Ma’a Nonu and his team mates take on the world in the Rugby World Cup, by preordering your tickets here. It’s the hot ticket for men with balls both on and off the field, in both their professional sporting careers as well as their romantic and family lives too. Gotta love that today! The Rugby World Cup is one of the hottest sporting events on the planet. Get there. :)
This post is especially for my friend DK (a future politician) who lives in Wellington City where Avatar was filmed and made and where both Ma’a and Oscar winner Peter Jackson live. Hey girl! :)
Music is by the legendary Bob Marley–because both DK and Ma’a love his music. And apparently President Barack Obama did too, growing up in Hawaii also. And… Because Lauryn Hill has been a bit quiet lately, I thought I’d cut this grammy winner into the mix too, for your entertainment least we forget how talented she is. Enjoy!

PINK WOWS WITH AN ALLURING AERIEL PERFORMANCE AT GRAMMYS 2010
~Glitter In The Air~
Pink is an amazing and talented artist. Last year, she disappeared a little in the wake of Lady Gaga‘s shocker outfits headlines.
But tonight at The Grammys, Alecia Moore reminded America and the world, why she is such a worthy, strong, athletic and creative, acrobatic performer who always sings live.
I’ve seen her perform this song live here in LA. She took my breath away and I still haven’t got it back. :) Pink is stunning tonight as always.

She too fierce. Beyonce gives one of the strongest performances of her career tonight at Grammys 2010 as Queen Bee insists on taking her act to the center of the auditorium and usurp her dominance on the pop music game again for another year.

FERGIE WEARS AVATAR BLUE with JOSH DUHAMEL TO GRAMMYS 2010
Fergie of The Black Eyed Peas totally rocked it out tonight in her Avatar blue dress. A nice statement from Fergie, reflecting from music’s big night in America, back out to the cinematic community of Hollywood with her Avatar blue dress. A Grammys presenter tonight, Josh kept it very un-rock star-ish in his grey suit.
Josh’s movie, When In Rome is on at the El Capitain Theater in Hollywood, photographed [sideways] today.:) Go see his rom com if you can. Cheers!

SIR ELTON JOHN AND LADY GAGA GRAMMYS OPENER
Lady Gaga and Sir Elton John did the best opener ever at The Grammys. Already Gaga has made her mark on theatrical performance numbers that are Awards Shows opener-worthy, after just one year in the public eye. She’s too much!
This clip shows two music greats and cultural icons sharing their music and love of performance and entertaining others on a double piano with two sets of amazing vocals. Tres fun.
Elton sung: “How wonderful life is… with Gaga in the world.”/ Gaga replied with: “Thank you Sir Elton John.” How cute! :)

Gorgeous. Rocker girl Pink, let her feminine fashionista side shine tonight when she stepped out onto Grammys red carpet wearing a crystal-encrusted degradé gown that she teamed with a Judith Leiber clutch that was finished off by over $2.5 million-worth of Neil Lane diamond jewelry.
Pink (Alecia Moore) looks both interesting and stunning! The gown’s structure is exquisite and the color blends very artistically… just like Pink always is when she performs live in concert. Hot!

MILEY CYRUS HITS THE RED CARPET FOR GRAMMYS 2010
Grammys presenter, Miley Cyrus, 17, rocked the red carpet wearing a short teal Hervé Léger by Max Azria dress paired with youthful gladiator sandals and finished off with a Judith Leiber clutch.
Miley being Miley; indulged in a bunch of signature rings. Her teen obsession. This look says comfort and Grammys. Love it. Not too overdressed for a music awards show. She could dance all night in this dress, that’s what The Grammys should be about.

PINK HEARTS GAGA FOR BEST ALBUM GRAMMY
Says rock star Pink (Alecia More) about who should win for Best Album at The Grammys this year:
“I think I’d have to go with Lady Gaga because she really, really just took over this year. She was everywhere. She’s fearless when it comes to fashion and videos and I think a lot of other people play it really safe. I think she’s been a total breath of fresh air. I love her videos. In some ways I think she’s the most interesting without seeming to try too hard since Madonna. I think I’m able to like her because I don’t see any of myself in her. And for awhile, I think, after Missundaztood came out, it was like, “Oh, everybody wants to be a rock star now.” But with her, I don’t know, I think she’s marching to the beat of her own drum. And I really, really like that.”
Doesn’t Pink just rock with her perceptive comments?! The singer just celebrated her 4th wedding anniversary with hubby Carey Hart.
