On their website today, the band are giving away their new CD, Left, Right, Left, Right to all of their concert goers this year. Wow! It’s cool that the LRLR title theme of their album is in keeping with friends, peers U2‘s latest song, Get On Your Boots… with Coldplay tying this album’s theme to a marching or military band that urges their fans to march forward out of fear in these economic times towards a better future. People magazine, give everyone an outlet to grieve their sense of loss over the last year in a global recession, with The Travolta family on People’s cover over the tragic loss of their son, Jett. Ironically, the corporate jet airplane is perhaps the greatest symbol of loss, to corporate America in this economy. The loss of the Travolta family’s eldest child puts devastating loss, in perspective over any plane. We are reminded to grieve, cherish life and not material possessions in order to move forward living more meaningful lives. The Travoltas inspire with their story.

1. Don’t mess with a New York Italian, Attorney General Andrew Cuomo is all over this one, AIG! Be afraid, be very afraid! :)
2. Clearly, AIG execs thought that they were working for a lotteries board. They managed to give out 105 winning lotto tickets, creating 105 AIG millionaires overnight. The message, don’t buy a lottery ticket, come and work at AIG!
3. They’ve been caught with their pants down, screwing the American taxpayer and the AIG shareholders.
4. The round up of how these gang bangers who raped and bullied American’s better interests + their mug shots, are still to hit the press.

It ‘s been a strange week. First we saw Bernie Madoff, a man with a personal fortune of US$823 million, who still wasn’t happy and his wanna-be-a-billionaire complex, led him to defraud $US64.4 billion from investors. This earned Madoff a 150 year prison sentence. Comedian Jon Stuart, described the duration of Madoff’s sentence as a “tortoise pete” moment this week.
Now, there are the reports that AIG (American International Group), who will receive a handout by the US tax-payer to the tune of $175 billion to stay afloat, are giving their CEO’s golden handshake pay-outs to total $170 million. It’s shocked and angered Americans. The $175 billion is the largest ever pay out to a single company by the US government in history.

Timothy Geithner: Geez guys, why do I have the tough job?
US Treasury secretary Timothy Geithner was sent to pimp it out for America this week, to a meeting of world financial leaders and the world bank… here’s what he said:
‘the global economy is in a “challenging period” and that the crisis is “still evolving”… ‘economic recovery in the United States depends on its companies’ access to “open and growing economies” globally. Geithner said the U.S. recovery “will be stronger if the world is stronger.”
Word! Now let’s show more respect to other nations outside of American shores, if we are appealing to them for their money, to then access… to help save America as well as their corners of the world. That’s a good start, perhaps. In this round of press, Geithner admits that America is no longer ‘big brother’ but is in the same economic boat in order to survive the financial crises of the global recession, like any other developed nation. Nice persuasive skills Tim! All nations must pony up. Word!
