Although today’s news glory should belong to Sonia Sotomayor, the first confirmed Hispanic, Supreme Court Justice of America; it is the topless leaked pictures of a tween actress with a new film to promote; a betrayed bachelorette and the unstoppable rising young stars of Twilight Saga’s Eclipse who round out the top 10 most sought after entertainment news topics on Horiwood.Com today.
If there is one thing that maintaining a blog from Hollywood has taught me, blog numbers don’t lie. They show another side to democracy as the people and the masses vote each day with their mouse clicks and news choices.
From Hollywood tonight, enjoy your news choices you all made worldwide. Thank you all for being a part of Horiwood.Com for 7 months now. Let’s keep this show going always with a spirit of fun and a sense of play! :)
Congratulations Sonia Sotomayor!!! How cool and inspiring is she?! Well done. Wow!!!

HE’S AN OVERCOMER: RICH RETURNS TO WALKING AND SURFING – ONE MAN’S REHABILITATION FROM CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME
This is an amazing story. My childhood friend Richard (Rich), has been battling with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (also known as Tapanui Flu and M.E) a rare form of perpetual flu-like symptoms, that threatens to keep someone continually exhausted. This has been Rich’s battle for more then a fair few years now.
Before he fell ill, I always remember rich as weightlifting and surfing the awesome waves of New Zealand and helping out peeps in need. Rich had recently been bedridden for 14 years with just enough strength each down to be spoon fed a meal by his folks and go to the bathroom. 95% of the time his body needed to rest before he could eat again.
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a disease that medical scientists are still finding a cure for. They have a partial cure now. Due to Medicine’s partial cure, Rich has been learning how to walk again and he even got out on his surf board again for a paddle.
These photos kind of made me cry! It’s amazing to see courage in a friend, rise up with hope. There are no odds too great. If you believe, you will overcome any obstacle, even when what is thrown your way, does not seem right or fair.
What a miracle and we are all so proud of Rich’s progress and courage. To donate to the M.E foundation go here. Click on the donate button on the right tab. Thank you all for giving from your hearts today!
And Rich – you’re one of our heroes. Stay strong Mr.
Rich is pictured here in Whangaparoa, New Zealand, which is home to some of the best ecologically sound scenic beaches in the world. Whangaparoa Harbour is one of the stunning beaches along Auckland City’s Hibiscus Coast. Whangaparoa has a golf course with some of the prettiest scenic views from the green known to golfers worldwide. It’s where golfer, Tiger Woods sometimes plays when he’s down under in New Zealand with his Kiwi caddie. But let’s get back to Rich’s amazing story.
True to form, Rich hopes to make a full recovery. He sees his future as being based in Africa feeding the poor in the third world. What a guy! You go fellah!
This guest post today on Horiwood.Com is from the New York Post’s page 7, section, friday.
It’s kind of interesting that one’s spiritual beliefs can ostracize a musician from the Kings of the land…but this report clearly shows that they can. Bob Dylan found that out with President Jimmy Carter, when he switched faiths.
July 16, 2009 – BOB Dylan made his dramatic conversion from Judaism to Christianity after wallowing in drugs and bed-hopping with female fans — a switcheroo that apparently jolted one of his biggest fans, Jimmy Carter, a new book about the former president claims.
“By 1978, Dylan’s life had hit the skids,” (more…)
We admire Shania Twain, not only for her gift of music but because any break-up isn’t easy. This Canadian Native Indian songstress is still inspiring, as she sets about healing from her emotional and painful divorce, by channeling the pain into songs of hope, love and faith. Shania inspires. What a winner!

I don’t know why Abraham Lincoln inspires me so much. But this founding American father, and President of the United States just does, in that Susan Boyle humble and unassuming way.
The official White House Website, gives these 11 facts about Abe Lincoln. I hope they inspire you as much as they inspire me. Peace ya’ll.
11 THINGS ABOUT ABE LINCOCLN THAT INSPIRE:
1. Abe Lincoln started out from humble beginnings: The son of a Kentucky frontiersman, Lincoln had to struggle for a living and for learning.
2. Lincoln did not have a star’s genealogy: He says that he came from “undistinguished families” on both sides of his lineage.
