In a special music media conference for Whitney Houston’s new album, I Look To You, Mr Clive Davis stood by his diva, as rough tracks from Whitney’s new album were played to a closed audience of music and entertainment media.
The diva’s comeback album got a standing ovation. A good sign, for the troubled songstress with one of the greatest vocal gifts in music history.
Whitney said in her interview with Entertainment Tonight. “I’m a lot wiser, certainly a little older. Things mean a lot more to me. I have a 16 year-old daughter and it makes a lot of changes in a woman’s life.”
Dianne Sawyer and Oprah’s best girl, Gale King, came out in New York to support their friend.
We wish Whitney well. Three of her songs were penned by R. Kelly. An interesting choice from both Clive and Ms Houston. Will you buy Whitney’s album when it drops on September 1? Who can forget what she has given the world of music. After Michael Jackson’s legacy in music has been seen for its global appeal, Whitney Houston’s musical legacy looms large also.
Stars who have spent over half of their life in show biz, deserve a certain degree of respect. Especially when they want to return to their first love. Go Whitney Houston, we’re all rooting for ya!
