This ad made me smile today, because Cougar Women are the staple of the fashion and travel industries. They are recession proof.
This ad is like Flight of The Concords Humor set to BBC styled documentary. A funny concept, that perhaps could have benefitted with a female writer’s point-of-view on the topic of being a ‘Cougar’ rather than a bloke with a camera writing the story line.
But for an Airline advertisement promoting domestic travel within New Zealand… this did make me smile today from Hollywood. Kiwi humor is nuts! Always Un-PC. 60% of the New Zealand tourism industry is domestic tourism. So this ad is specifically aimed at Wellington and Auckland City women, two of the largest cities in New Zealand, urging them to travel more. Only 40% of New Zealand’s tourism industry comes from outside the country. But, by putting this post on Horiwood.Com today… the international percentage just went up! :)
