“Our cup overfloweth with joie de vivre to share with others”–motto for 2011 onwards.
This Christmas Eve is the month where a Maori Hollywood entertainment celebrity blog made history and hit the 2.8 million threshold thanks to you all worldwide. That’s never happened before in Hollywood’s entertainment history. Hawaii takes the top spot as both the 44thPresident of America and New Zealand’s Prime Minister vacation at the tropical jewel isles location of the USA.
Here in California this artwork at the Wiedeman gallery photographed in Hollywood this eve, reminds me of the umbrella I’ve been living under while living here in Hollywood California to date. Very French with a Hollywood twist. And Jakey Davis shines with two of his biggest fans, sister Taylor Jane and his mom, teen mom’s champion life coach - The Maori Rose of Sharon across the world in New Zealand. It’s all about children and their world we help and support them create. As you can see, I’m on Jakey’s program as he’s already busting out his Peace sign moves for photos, so fine like already, on a Kiwi beach. Too cute.
Hollywood entertainment and celebrity news on Christmas here in the Hollywood hood as voted by you the people worlwide. Here’s how we’re looking in our top ten today. Merry New Zealand Christmas and Happy Hollywood Christmas Eve. Thanks people.
I just spoke to my Maori mom on the phone wishing her and dad a very Merry California Christmas.
She was sooooooo excited to hear my voice in a way only a Maori mom is.
Hot topics of conversation were: Mom warning me about the perils of “Facebook oversharing.” Heavens forbid!
Mom is in her 70′s and she goes to see Bono live at U2 concerts and holidays in Paihia that is rark-it-up seaside resort township for New Year’s eve of New Zealand each year… so mom did make me laugh about Facebook. Apparently many of my beautiful, talented, breeding and entertaining family are having family Christmas in a New Zealand top secret Christmas party location, right at this minute. So… I just might have to ring into that party real soon, like So Undercover via the telephone via the top secret telephone number given to me by mom, and spice it up the party a little. ;)
To all my family/ whanau all friends in Christchurch, in Melbourne, in Papakura, in Beverly Hills, in Arizona, in China, at PPL HQ, in New Zealand, in Malibu, in Auckland The Supercity, on Catalina Island, in Westwood, in California, in Wellington and in Helensville –Mere Kirihimete, I love you and God bless.
[Christmas Artwork: Weideman Gallary snapped 10 mins ago, West Hollywood-Chanel No 5 Series of 4 and James Dean in Hollywood Headlights. Catalina Island photographic artwork of Avalon Bay hangs outside my apartmento door in Hollywood. Who would have thought?]
UPDATE: Hollywood = 1.59 am – NZ Boxing Day, USA Christmas: I so made the call. Christmas message on answerphone, okiez? Love ya all black! :)

Humor: Dressed in clothes made by her sister, Adrienne Chanel takes the family dog, for a walk along the boulevard by the Deauville Ocean.
[This post going up in honor of my dad, whose middle name is Adrian, named by his late mother Elizabeth Maude Bailey, a stylish God fearing woman, who named her son in honor ofthe masculine French version of Adrienne, Coco Chanel's sister. My grandmother loved Coco Chanel's artistry too as a designer, who women worldwide found a voice in, even as far afield as the countryside of beautiful New Zealand green pastures. In honor of her mother-in-law, a talented milliner, perhaps she named dad, after Adrienne in acknowledgment of great grandma's unique skills to create magical moments of world worthy fashion, in remote parts of the world too. To this day, my father chooses to see women's strengths equal to those of men. He's always been that way. He does not discriminate between sexes. If you lead, you lead].

These images and words depict how the arrival of Josephine Baker in France, greatly influenced Parisian life – and also freed up artists, like Coco Chanel to be understood better. Put simply, in Josephine, a women of spectacle who was expected to perform and amuse, Chanel saw herself and loved Baker instantly, understanding her better than her fashion designer contemporaries. She included many elements of Baker’s star aesthetic into her design aesthetic.
Well worth a share. Words in pics by Charles Roux. Josephine Baker prided herself on creating a rainbow family made up of children from all nations. In this regard, she was a little like Angelina Jolie or Mia Farrow are today. Baker stands as a witness, that France loved African-Americans to a level that even America hadn’t yet reached in their times. Coco Chanel’s life, shows that she loved African-American people as whole people long before many American leaders did. Josephine was extremely beautiful though. And after all, Chanel was in the beauty game of fashion.
The fact that Coco Chanel ‘got’ Jospehine Baker so well, is also what makes a designer like Coco Chanel even more entriguing. She was out there with her contemporary modern expressions in fashion. She saw people for who they were – and in her own way, loved their uniqueness.

Starting any business requires family support, if you have that luxury. In his book Chanel and Her World, author Charles Roux was not all that kind in describing how Coco Chanel discovered the value of mannequins.
He posits that because Chanel’s sister Adrienne first began to borrow clothes from her store racks and wear them up town, that people saw the dresses, pants suits, what have you, on Chanel’s sisters, would then go to her store to buy the same said clothes. Roux posits that ‘this was the way Chanel discovered the value of mannequins.’
Gosh! That wasn’t very kind to Coco’s sisters, Mr Roux. Anyway, pictures of this story are in this post. And as this book is so outrageous, I’m going to keep sharing tid bits from it, as I’m able, so that budding designers from California to New Zealand, can learn how Mr Roux, think she rolled as a designer.
He’s very subjective though, (‘sisters as mannequins!!!’) but the photographs are real and unphotoshopped-so well worth a share.

If you love sports check them out live at this event. There’s nothing like it.
The second thing worth celebrating today in Wooley times, is Gabrielle Chanel (Coco Chanel’s) invention of the ‘Little Black Dress.’ Back then, it was simply titled Day Ensemble 1926. And the rest is history.
Although chanel made her famous dress in black wool, everytime you see a little black dress, this is her invention of fashion.
Okay, check out Rugby World Cup – and think wool – to always be inspired and motivated.

The actress known as Audrey Tatou of France is currently heavily promoting her role as young French fashion designer, Coco Chanel, in the Sony Classics film titled, Coco Before Chanel. or in France, Coco Avant Chanel.
The movie’s plotline goes a little something like this: “Several years after leaving the orphanage to which her father never returned for her, Gabrielle Chanel finds herself working in a provincial bar both. She’s both a seamstress for the performers and a singer, earning the nickname Coco from the song she sings nightly with her sister. A liaison with Baron Balsan gives her an entree into French society and a chance to develop her gift for designing increasingly popular hats. When she falls in love with English businessman Arthur Capel further opportunities open up, though life becomes ever more complicated.”
Audrey Tatou is so beautiful from the cover of Elle Magazine, Canada today, Terrific!

“Her contradictions. Her conflict between love and ambition. She was rude, hurtful. Many men were in love with her — though I don’t know why, because she was impossible. She was 73 when she got so popular, and she was always reinventing herself. I like that.”

Hi people. Meet Miss E. She’s 86 and has possibly the finest heirloom tomatoes collection in the world. In her youth she blossomed with artistic genius as a fashion designer (on a budget) and was America’s version of France’s Coco Chanel.
Coco of course, has long since faded and passed on (in fact, Emmy awards are about to be given out in her postumous honor in LA), but this American butterfly of fashion design, who soared and conquered the great heights of fashion sales in America nationwide, still walks in life’s garden among us in this great city of Los Angeles.
Miss Elliette is an angel of LA. Our living Emmy of all Angelinos who are blessed to know and love her.
She is so underrated for her contributions to America and having being honored with the presence of her company and perpetual spirit of hope at her dinner table on many occasions, I just adore her. She’s an American eagle of the finest order if ever I have met one or have shared the company of one in America to date.
I think, I would have to say, that Miss Elliette is my most favorite American celebrity. But you can’t have favorites because her entire family all rank pretty ‘up there’ too. They are all nice people. Perhaps proof, that the tomato never falls too far from the vine.
One day, the men of LA stopped to honor this woman’s genius when she was given the keys to the city of LA for her contributions to the fashion industry, to business in America and of course; her inspiring business development for the City of LA in the fashion world. Her dresses are masterpieces of heirloom chiffon, and they still sell on e-bay today.
As you can see, Miss E is still blossoming with her creative hands and extraordinary vision, more stronger than ever. Her life stories are as fascinating and entertaining as an Oscars Awards show! But, for today, let’s just talk about her amazing tomatoes!!!
