I remember living in New Zealand and going to see Bruce Springsteen live in concert.
The venue was the Speedway Track and Bruce got every petrol head singing I’m on Fire into the night air, like it was a Billy Graham Revival Meeting in the middle of a dirt track.
The crowd he sung too weren’t Born in The USA, but that didn’t matter, it was the fact that someone was proud of their own country and was also a global citizen that you felt resonating in Brucie’s music that inspired the crowd.
His material on 9-11 was so compelling. It hit the right tone, of America having to rebuild after such a tragedy. Ironically, Springsteen’s tone for dealing with and having to rebuild America after the devastation of The World Trade Center’s twin towers tragedy, was prophetic for having to rebuild the American economy in the age of Barack Obama.
It’s Bruce Springsteen’s prophetic backwood’s gospel, meets New Jersey, working-class rhetoric and harmonics, that make him still The Boss to me of music.

This vintage pic of TV and Media personality, Ryan Seacrest, doesn’t necessarily make Ryan stand out from the pack at first glance, when Seacrest was once a college freshman.
However, although Seacrest is still snubbed by the #1 celebrity at the top of the class, Ms. Angelina Jolie. Angie has walked past Seacrest on the red carpet at the Oscars for two years running now; the world’s most famous humanitarian actress can perhaps be forgiven for not knowing who he actually is! With six children, and being a working mom, Angelina doesn’t watch TV much.
This one entertainment fact, still does not detract from Seacrest’s rising star power this year.

I was totally mystified why Kate Hudson, daughter of Goldie Hawn, is so into Alex Rodriguez (A-Rod) and has been seen pursuing him everywhere like there’s no tomorrow.
Reports state that Kate Hudson’s passion for A-Rod has her as the head cheer leader of his baseball-loving A Game club. While A-Rod was in Cleveland playing the Indians Monday night, the blond beauty popped into Bar 108 on West Houston Street to catch the game. “Kate was watching A-Rod bat,” says a source. “She only stayed for one inning but was cheering the whole time.” Tuesday night she watched from the stands at Yankee Stadium.
After discovering that Madonna came in at #3, on the Forbes Top 100 Celebrities list this year behind Angelina Jolie and Oprah, it makes sense now why Kate Hudson thinks Madonna’s ex is a good catch. She’s hoping A-Rod will keep her star power on the rise too.
