THE VAMPIRE DIARIES – MORE PROOF THAT BOOK SERIES MAKE GREAT SERIES FOR FILM & TV

Imagine if  you were torn between love with two vampire siblings! Conflict is the eseense of drama Aristotle once famously said, so  this conflicting dilemma sort of doubles the Twilight hotness in tween entertainment.

The CW network is hoping to cash in on True Blood and Twilight Saga overflow by turning the hit book series, The Vampire Diaries, by author L.J Smith, into a TV series.

 Love Sucks is the talgline for the new shows promos. Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley are cast in the new vampire TV drama.

I know one the series screenwriters whose a script writing mentor here in Hollywood, as I mull over my first script idea in Hollywood. Their advice is, “start with slasher horror  flicks, they are the easiest to write in Hollywood and sell.”

This makes sense, as the executive producer of The Vampire Diaries, Kevin Williamson claim to fame is that they executive produced Scream.
