The Week.Com speculates on who Barb’s two mystery guests should be. Of their choices, they select: Lady Gaga -quoting Jen Chaney at The Washington Post (why? she was last years news), An Obama citing Margaret Lyons pick at Entertainment Weekly (couldn’t hurt), Lindsay Lohan -quoting Bridget Daly atHollyscoop (stranger things have happened), Lt. Dan Choi relaying Maureen O’Connor at Gawker‘s pick this year (not a bad choice either).
Perhaps Tiger Woods, Kim Kardashian (single, childless and still on top at 30), Liu Xiaobo‘s wife, or Warren Buffet, The Gates & The Team at Giving Pledge.
If looking at my own blog–Jessica Simpson & Eric Johnson rate high this year. Or, why not Oprah and Larry King both wrapping shows this year like Barbara is–or for a laugh why not Oprah interviewing Barbara Walters as no. 10. That would be groovy. Eminem or other music artists–there’s not one announced yet. Or a soldier who recovered from war’s atrocities? Or a scientist perhaps. The actors of Harry Potter continue to fascinate too. They also could be a worthy choice.
Who can believe little Snooki has made Barbara Walter’s Ten Most Fascinating People show in just over a year of being in show biz? Go Snooki go!

12 STITCHES LATER BARACK OBAMA HAD A ROUGH HOLIDAY BASKETBALL GAME
You can be the guy who always takes the ball to the hoop and yet still comes out second best. Sometimes, the rough and tumble of the play knocks you around a bit, as America’s no. 1 man, President Barack Obama discovered after requiring 12 stitches to his lip, when playing a holiday basketball game.
Let’s hope America’s much loved hoop star, has a better remaining holiday weekend.

RUGBY GIRL TRINITY BROOKE HAS A BEAMING SMILE IN THE UK TODAY
As a leader I love her because she can listen and divide matters fairly. In this regard she’s just like her grandma, Lady Thorp–Horiwood on Trinity Brooke’s fearless leadership skills.
Trinity Brooke of rugby royalty has a beaming smile today as she hangs out with some girlfriends for a bit of socialite time in the U.K. She is the grandchild of Lady Patricia Thorp, the sweetest woman who served Auckland City on The Council looking after the environment. That was Lady Thorp’s hot thing, amongst many. As a leader, Brooke is a young lady I trust. She’s always worthy of spotlight and she’s a pearla.
When it comes to entertainment trends, Trinity has the best tastes. She grew up with women the ilk of Debbie Harwood singing impromptu (no bands, no palava just real true fearless Kiwi talent) around her dinner table, as a kid growing up in New Zealand, so you can’t blame Trin really. She’s the real deal Pasifika knowing Kiwi girl. Impeccable taste.
Trinity and myself, thanks to Lady Thorp, both went together to see Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson perform live in concert, because Patricia was like that. If someone was talented with a message people needed to see and hear and feel, Patricia was the all for the talented person in the world. I still thank her for her gifts of leadership today, that Trinity Brooke now also carries so richly in her young life. Trinity Brooke is special. She knows the ways and I know that Trinity does. Women of action. Can’t be beat.
When we last caught up with Trinity, she’d recently given birth to baby Oscar Brooke and then had launched right on into a wee triathlon excursion. Kiwi’s–we’re full on!
Trinity is all about health and fitness. Actually this girl always has been as far as I can recall. Love her. She’s a fine basketball player and netball player too.
What a gorgeous Maori-Kiwi smile. Full beam ahead then. Hey Trin. :)

LEBRON JAMES SEEKS SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE FROM RABBI PINTO BEFORE A BIZ VENTURE MEETING
In good cross-cultural taste, LeBron James reportedly hired Rabbi Yishayahu Yosef Pinto aka”Rabbi to the Business Stars” as New York’s inner circle of synagogue trendsetters know Pinto as.
Rabbi Pinto gave James spiritual guidance for a “big merchandising meeting” according to TMZ.
Josef, 37, is believed to have a gift to give spiritual guidance on business matters.
Let’s see how LeBron’s star biz appeals rises after this meeting. An unusal biz preparation meeting perhaps. Good for him!

Good neighbors are always cool.Boston Celtics‘ top player Jermaine O’Neal has aspirations to be a menswear fashion designer. For a sportsman to make the jump into fashion, Jermaine has decided to move his fashion headquarters, next to two celebrity ladies, who perhaps know a thing or two about moving fashion accessories and products. Not a bad move.
This report from Crains New York: “Six-time NBA All-Star Jermaine O’Neal, who recently signed a rich two-year contract with the Boston Celtics, also just signed a deal for a good deal less money to rent space for his newly formed menswear company, Asjiawear (parent company of O’Neal’s Le’Jaunty menswear line). It will be joining fashion companies founded by Madonna, Kimora Lee Simmons’ and Shelli Segal at 530 Seventh Ave. in the Garment District.
