Many websites have speculated who the last two guests could be today here in the US. Flavor Pill lists their own top ten, that I can’t relate to at all, except their first choice. The Week.Com speculates on who Barb’s two mystery guests should be. Of their choices, they select: Lady Gaga -quoting Jen Chaney at The Washington Post(why? she was last years news), An Obama citing Margaret Lyons pick at Entertainment Weekly(couldn’t hurt), Lindsay Lohan -quoting Bridget Daly atHollyscoop (stranger things have happened), Lt. Dan Choi relaying Maureen O’Connor at Gawker‘s pick this year (not a bad choice either).
Perhaps Tiger Woods, Kim Kardashian (single, childless and still on top at 30), Liu Xiaobo‘s wife, or Warren Buffet, The Gates & The Team at Giving Pledge.
If looking at my own blog–Jessica Simpson & Eric Johnson rate high this year. Or, why not Oprah and Larry King both wrapping shows this year like Barbara is–or for a laugh why not Oprah interviewing Barbara Walters as no. 10. That would be groovy. Eminem or other music artists–there’s not one announced yet. Or a soldier who recovered from war’s atrocities? Or a scientist perhaps. The actors of Harry Potter continue to fascinate too. They also could be a worthy choice.
Who can believe little Snooki has made Barbara Walter’s Ten Most Fascinating People show in just over a year of being in show biz? Go Snooki go!

As you know, if you read this blog I live in the Russian-Jewish District called Little Russia in West Hollywood, California.
I can’t help but notice how all through West Hollywood the Crown as a symbol is appearing in store front windows. West Hollywood is known for its love of plastic Princess crowns imagery–but this Crown is distinctly a King’s crowd. It is solid and a symbol of hope and just rule. Interesting too is the fact that the crown symbols being displayed are majestically painted, like art of Leonardo da Vinci’s era or something groovy like that. They’re a study. The return of majesty is what people want in a shite economy. An interesting expression of desire.
What do I get from this shift in consciousness in West Hollywood window store front windows? Perhaps it signifies that–
Already the American people await in anticipation the royal wedding of Kate Middleton and Prince William. Their retail hopes all hinge on her and the special ring she’s wearing of an amazing woman America once loved so much.
I know that these are U.K crowns, because one of them has an inscription written in Gaelic of Scotland in glitter paint. I don’t know why, but perhaps because my Kiwi ancestors descend from Grahamstown of Scotland, the image made me shed a tear of joy. Weird.
I’ll try and get a photo of this for you at some point. America is being so warm towards the UK right now, gauging from these artistic expressions in the West Hollywood hood, a trend setting capitol of the US in terms of what’s hot and what’s not-that feeds into Hollywood’s studios’ elite and is emulated by all in the world. In terms of creative IP being used without return or reward shared back by others, West Hollywood is perhaps one of the most exploited cities in the world for IP theft–however, the city continues to lead with what they feel is more fun for the world. No other deep reason (sadly) just more fun. And what’s wrong that? A crown as a symbol of fun times ahead. I can go with that!
“Crowns are US 2011″ is the message increasingly being expressed by the American people.

A busy day for Barbara Walters! Had Bill been in West Hollywood, and said that in the 7-11, action man Ashim Dam would have thrown Bill the Pakistan-American “get offa my set now” eye – like he does when some people talk down to Ashim in front their clubbing friends, like he’s their mother’s maid’s ride, when wanting liquor at 2.05am.
He’s too funny.

Dame Elizabeth Taylor‘s latest tweet says: “[Give. Remember always to give. That is the thing that will make you grow.] Every breath you take should be with someone else in mind. I love you.”
Older people are usually so much more interesting than most people. They have vividly rich color gleaned from the school of hard knocks and their depth of spirit is a gift to the young.
President Barack Obama, the man with the #1 job in America is set to make an appearance on The View this Thursday. Ladies of America (mainly) just got lucky. This will be the first time a president has appeared on The View talk show, and all eyes are on Obama and CNN’s hope to replace Larry King, Joy Behar.
According to Melissa Noble, Obama will “discuss jobs, the economy, the Gulf oil spill and family life inside the White House. Barbara Walters is even returning from heart surgery haitius to chat with the president – she wasn’t scheduled to return to the show until September.”
Barbara is a riot, turning up when things get good. Love her! And go President Obama.
People reports that Barbara Walters heart surgery went well. A rep for The View says: “[Her] surgery went well and the doctors are very pleased with the outcome,” adds the rep.
Good to see. Barbara had clocked into hospital to repair a “faulty valve.”

There’s one thought on the lips of Tinsel Taone today, and that thought is “Poor Sandra Bullock.” This town does not like to see our Oscar queens dissed.
Perhaps the best way to show our shared love for Sandy B today [Team Bullock forever] is to play down, the Barbara Walters interview, pre-Oscars win for your entertainment. It’s heartbreaking that Sandy B goes on record to say: Jesse James give her a place to go home to. And [Hollywood aside] that’s the plot, to come home. Awww! Poor Sandy B.

Jessica Simpson was asked by Barbara Walters on The View today if she’d talked to John Mayer since her blabbed in his Playboy interivew that he found Simpson to be like sexual napalm to him. Simpson’s reply to Walters was:

What would the weekend be like without, Lady Gaga making us laugh out loud, talking bizarre smack about cocaine, being called a lesbian, Swedish triplets and … a ghost of a 19 year-old rellythat lives inside her. WTF?! She sure knows how to entertain and bring on the crazy to make everyone laugh out loud, here in America. Even when she does press, her interviews sound like Bad Romance lyrics. She’s a comedian.
Jest and jokes aside; part of growing up when wanting to be a rock star is going through all of that crappy immabe stage of the… sex, drugs and rock n’ roll lifestyle. All three promise an allusion of love (‘fame’) but leave one empty. Lady Gaga shares some insights in a UK interview about how turning to inspiration in one’s own family, often helps aspiring rock artists, to avoid the allure of excessive cocaine use.
Here’s highlights from the interview:
“I thought I was gonna die [doing bags and bags of coke locked up in her apartment for weeks on end],” she says in an explosive new biography. “I wanted to BE the artists I loved, like Mick Jagger and Andy Warhol – and I thought the only way to do it was to live the lifestyle.
“But then I realised my father’s sister Joanne, who’d died at 19, had instilled her spirit in me. It has to be said that with Taylor Swiftbeing voted entertainer of the year by the Associated Press, when she ranked 34th in Hollywood as a newsworthy trend this year, that Barbara Walters is more honest than the Associated Press in her news coverage.
Walters had the the courage and honesty to list Lady Gaga (Stefani Germanotta) in her ten most fascinating people of 2009 and not Taylor Swift. Lady Gaga was the #1 trending topic in American entertainment this year. Anyone who doesn’t admit this, is lying with their so-called lists of 2009.
I like honest journalists. They can be trusted. Go Barbara Walters. Associated Press… not so honest. Go Barbara-ella! She rocks!!! She is an example of a veteran broadcaster, who has not been corrupted by the system, and can still tell the truth and bring you the people that most matter as newsworthy stories, even after a 50 years plus career in broadcasting news. Wow! Walters is a proven gem. Kuros.

New Zealand supermodel and reality TV Show star Rachel Hunter, 39, has just been dumped by her 27 year-old, hockey playing Fiance, Jarret Stoll. Hunter who has starred in: The Real Gilligan’s Island, Dancing with the Has-Beens, Style Me, Celebrity Paranormal Project, Make Me A Supermodel, Celebrity Circus reality TV shows is said to be devastated by the news. The couple were due to walk down the aisle in two months time.

The producers of Sex & The City are always toying with script leaks, spoilers and surprises to market their hit TV series turned film. Okay, granted their not as clever as Summit Entertainment and Stephenie Meyers with wetting audiences appetites for more like in the Twilight film series, but they do a pretty good job at marketing.
Us Weekly reports that 5 different script versions are being used on the set of the film, so that no leaks will reveal the new Sex & The City’s film plot line. To capitalize on the fact that Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick have just had twins to a surrogate mom, there is a script version where Carrie and Big have a baby.
How cute! I like that one. It’s more what sells in this economy. Everyone’s breeding in a recession, or wants to but can’t afford children. Babies are hot news. I hope they go with that storyline!
