Let’s love more. Forgive more. Grow more.
Remembering that America just had the worst president pre-Obama that the world has perhaps ever had to endure.
Onwards and upwards. Come on America. Let’s grow!!!
She even beats out President Barack Obama’s birthday news today! Actress Q’orianka Kilcher’s debacle with the Twilight Saga’s Leah Clearwater casting, still takes out the top spot, here in Hollywood for entertainment news on Horiwood.Com.
Kilcher’s star draw is fascinating in Hollywood and she’s only 19!!! Today, Meanwhile in Washington, President Obama kindly shared his birthday with Helen Dobbs, a veteran White House reporter whose also a columnist with Hearst Newspapers. So sweet!
Here’s how you voted your Top 10 news posts as follows.
Horiwood.Com is listed by MovieSet as being one of the best Twilight Saga news websites in the world. horiwood’slatest tweet on twitter was:
“Eat. Pray. Love”less than 5 seconds ago from web
Why do I often forget the Pray part? Ugh! :)
Back in the day, the media pitched African American singer, Whitney Houston against America’s favorite blonde pop star, Madonna.
Now, they’re doing it again. Stefani Germanotta (Lady Gaga) has just been nominated for 9 VMA nominations. She is tied with Beyonce for most nods.
Germanotta is voted for Video of the Year, Best New Artist, Best Female Video and Best Pop Video for Poker Face, Best Direction for the music video of Paparazzi, Best Editing, Best Special Effects, Best Cinematography and Best Art Direction. That’s a hefty swag of nods.
“After years of hustle in New York City, where we made our art videos in bars, myself and the Haus of Gaga are honored to receive 9 nominations for the 2009 VMAs. We believe in the immensity and the promise of ‘showbiz’ and will continue to give it mouth-to-mouth, till its vomiting return. All you need is a camcorder, a flashlight, and one truly GREAT idea. Thank you MTV for being our video flagship, and for supporting this bunch of inspired kids, who love to get wasted and make art, together.”
At this point, you just now that The Queen Bee (Beyonce) is hoping that The President’s office makes the phone call to the VMA committee and gets Beyonce through to pip Lady Gaga at the post,so that Beyonce can vomit all over that last comment. Lady Gaga is so obnoxious!
The phone call idea is not a bad option when it comes to music politics. Hey -it worked for Britney Spears, VMA nod last year! That was the beginning of Brit Brit’s great comeback. Congratulations to both Beyonce and Lady Gaga for all of the nods. I guess the winner will boil down to, who is capable of selling the most beer? As America seeks to sell pop and it’s booze to boost the economy. It’s really that simple. Worldwide, Gaga has had more #1′s than Beyonce this year but Beyonce has toured with The President’s image featuring heavily in her Halo tribute internationally and she has brought more money into the US economy and pays more taxes than Ms Gaga.
Both Whitney and Madonna should be proud as pop star diva rivalry and pop history repeats itself in American music. When it comes to dancing in their high heels, Lady Gaga is still on trainer wheels compared to Beyonce Knowles although Gaga can play the piano and is musically talented. Gaga still has a wee ways to go!
She is not on that triple threat, Ginger Rogers performance level yet like Beyonce has demonstrated for years now. Good luck girls! Thanks for bringing a fierce show this year.

As we know, vampires are all the rage. Horiwood’s theory is that vampires are so hot right now, because of the recession.
The last eight years of American politics, has vampired the next generation, who are growing up having to bear the consequences of repaying the debt of a mismanaged America. That’s over $1 trillion worth of debt. Meaning, that politicians in office did drink the future dreams and lifeblood of today’s tweens. Yes! It sucks!
But the good news is, that in this cultural climate of pop culture, vampires entertain us with their personal battles to be virtuous and good as they coexist in a world of humans that both frustrate and fascinate them.
Anyway… Entertainment Weekly, has listed their Top 20 Vampires. Here they are: (more…)
It’s only normal, that the wow associated with any new leader, dips after a while.
This is Barack Obama’s story, Friday here in the US, where the Rasmussen Reports Daily Tracking Poll has clocked Obama’s popularity at 30% of popular confidence in his leadership.
What’s cost Obama in the ratings with the American people? Only 25% think that Obama’s stimulus plan has helped the American economy. Meaning… it was all just PR and there’s not much evidence that it has.
Worse, for the new pres, is the fact that 38% strongly oppose his leadership. Come on guys and girls, give Barry O a break! He inherited over a trillion dollar deficit post George W. Bush, the worst deficit in American history.
The dude needs our positive thoughts, assistance and of course, prayers to lead America through its economic crises. You know it!
I am sure, he’s not too fazed by the news. People are fickle, but the leader must navigate regardless of what others think of him. Good luck with that Mr President!
Danica Patrick reveals that beneath her racing car driver’s jump suit, is a hot bikini body too on the cover of Shape Magazine. Here in Hollywood here’s 10 hot entertainment and celebrity news posts right now:
With a black President whose been extending the branch of friendship to America, hate crimes are alarming on the rise in America.
We have the GOP hating the democrats (see Jon Voight’s video). They are also stirring up the hate against Barack Obama and his leadership. Then we have disgruntled Nazi artists, like that loser, James W Von Brunn who undertook a shooting at the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC today.
What’s need is a greater sense of Courage To Love. If hate crimes upset you, then read this book by author Robert Ellis. It’s a timely text about love overcoming difference in the modern world in which we all live. Love is the answer for America to move forward. You know it! Cover artwork is by Salvador Dali.
Poor Angie, this week she has her dad, Jon Voight and the entire GOP Repulican party of America, her man Brad Pitt and her man’s ex, Jennifer Aniston all riding her coattails for magazine covers! And now, she has her l’enfant in training, Megan Fox graduating onto her cover coattails too!
Unmatched… She’s got strong star power, Angelina Jolie… that’s for sure! In Hollywood here’s 10 Hot Posts Right Now on Horiwood.Com. Enjoy!:
Never mess with bitchy queens! Keith Lewis of Charm School fame, gets his way. Donald Trump gives Miss California, USA the chop. Carrie Prejean loses her crown, as she was nice to Donald Trump basically, but a real cow to everyone else in the Miss USA Organization. Carrie Prejean has had more press as a beauty queen then almost anyone, bar Vanessa Williams of Ugly Betty, who also lost her crown back in the day, so… she’s on her way to a career in show biz!
HORIWOOD’S TOP 10 ARE:
Jumping on a plane, after his father in law, John Voight, called Brad Pitt’s favorite politician, (Barack Obama), a ‘false prophet‘ on Monday, Brad Pitt was quick to tell the world by his actions that he was all about The Arts and not Politics, on Tuesday.
Hey, marriage is never easy, and sometimes you marry into a family with not-so-normal in-laws, but Pitt was quick to smile his away around The Art Basel exhibition in Switzerland, where reports say he bought up large. Nice one Brad!
Good damage control bro!
Here’s the speech that has Angelina Jolie hiding in her film trailer today.
It’s no secret that her dad, John Voight is a highly outspoken republican. Voight blasts Obama at the GOP dinner, Monday, and blames Hollywood for being taken in for Obama’s “halo-istic presence.” This is not something one takes lightly coming from Voight as he has seen how stars are created, himself included, and knows the allusions of fame too well.
His own daughter ranks as the #1 Celebrity in the world currently, with Obama listed at #49 by Forbes.
In his chilling speech, Voight talks of (more…)
It’s the longest recession since The Great Depression of World War II. Keep smiling ya’ll, we will get through it, by helping each other! Thanks Katie Couric for great reporting on the economy, You rock girl! Let’s wurq America! [pic source: University of Washington libraries]
On their website today, the band are giving away their new CD, Left, Right, Left, Right to all of their concert goers this year. Wow! It’s cool that the LRLR title theme of their album is in keeping with friends, peers U2‘s latest song, Get On Your Boots… with Coldplay tying this album’s theme to a marching or military band that urges their fans to march forward out of fear in these economic times towards a better future. Very smart tie in here! The US is where the CD giveaway is most needed, that band thinks! Interesting… (more…)
Chrysler has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy but it’s still to complete deals with Fiat. It’s nice to see Chrysler taking Barack Obama’s advice. But yeah, how sad! Houses and cars in America, along with energy have all been totally out of control and over-inflated for a while! It had to happen at some point. At least the future is more realistic with less lies and hype in the economy. The truth sets us free ya’ll! Chin up. :)
[image source] In his address of his historic first 100 Days in Office as America’s 44th President of The United States, Barack Obama was full of gratification, gratitude, reflective wisdom and a tone of sincere leadership with the mammoth task at hand concerning realigning America to meet the rigors she faces in the crises of a global recession.
In particular, I liked these things about his address: he got the budget passed whether we agree with the way the money will be spent or not!, he’s offered a tax break to 95% of all American working families who are hanging on for dear life in these challenging times. He’s also thinking of 11 million US children who didn’t have adequate health insurance while trying to address the housing bubble crises here in the US.
He stands by his main four areas of redress in his presidency (education reform, renewable energy reform and its innovative development that will create new employment for Americans, health care infrastructure reform which will save billions; and… better foreign affairs relations in moving forward in peace and not with a war narrative of bullying ignorant destruction which costs America a lot of money for generations later to pay).
It fascinates me, that he feels America is a beacon of hope for weary travelers around the world. Personally, I have never worked harder, from the moment I touched down on American soil in my life. As a foreign press reporter, and a guest in America, the country has offered many moments for character growth for me personally in trying to see, find and engage in an American point of view that is more internationally friendly and relevant in a forum that I can give my view as an equal and global citizen of value. I do hold a Masters degree and I look forward to more intelligent banter with my fellow world citizens here in America, in the future. This excites me and yes, America still excites me too. We love her, whether we are from within her shores or not! She’s a great country, to be cherished, encouraged, strengthened and not depleted, for the good of the world. This is my hope and belief as I write from and live in Hollywood, California each day.
At times, engaging in dialogue with Americans has been a challenge for me to create access points towards a sense of global fairness with Americans from a basis of ‘what’s best and fair’ for the world, more so than any other country or culture that I’ve been exposed too, so I am glad that the new President is addressing foreign affairs, the psychological debilitating and paralyzing disease of that once constructed delusion of American over-entitlement, international relations concerning the American people and ‘the other’ outside of the bloodlines born within American shores or granted its citizenship status.
Barack Obama’s aggressive drive to be seen as more fair with world leaders of other nations is positive for America and the world, and is perhaps pivotal in making America stronger and healthier and more transparent for dialogue with other nations and the world. It’s when we dialogue that new gifts are exchanged between on culture and nation to another. We are all in this together and America’s new leader knows this so well. It’s heartening to see and be a part of here.
I also love the fact that President Barack Obama, seeks wisdom from world leaders before him, whether they are living or have passed on in the cannons of history. An eagle must find the food from other eagles who have navigated the world’s blustery winds before. Obama does this, very humbly by quoting Winston Churchill, the famous UK prime minister with stout leadership skills, on the topic of torture. Here’s what he said:
“I was struck by an article that I was reading the other day talking about the fact that the British during World War II, when London was being bombed to smithereens, had 200 or so detainees. And Churchill said, “We don’t torture,” when the entire British — all of the British people were being subjected to unimaginable risk and threat.” The overall view being, that if you disrespect even your enemies humanity, it will eventually corrode the character of your own nation and people. So wise!
America is in good hands. President Barack Obama’s full transcript of his First 100 Days speech follows. Enjoy! Peace Ya’ll, Sam Cruickshank of Horiwood.Com
On Horiwood.Com we love us some Huff N Blow Beyotch, Ariana Huffington! She’s our guest commentator today as we take a look at Barack Obama heading up to the 100 Day Mark of his presidency. Ariana slams Tim Geithner as being Obama’s weakest link for putting any faith in banks in America. I have joked before that Huffington should hook up with Geitner, and resolve this little issue of tension that she has for Tim, so she can calm the heck down and focus on just doing a great blog site. See that post here: SHOULD ARIANA HUFFINGTON HAVE A LOVE CHILD WITH TIM GEITHNER?
Huff N Blow Beyotch also fancies herself as a bit of a super model today (but ever tastefully, with clothes on of course!) She’s also about to cast herself in the role of sexy model Denni Parkinson, when she sets out to interview billionaire airline mogul, Sir Richard Branson soon. See this post here: SEXING UP THE VIRGIN BRAND LIKE KANYE WEST – DENNI PARKINSON WITH RICHARD BRANSON That Huffington girl just cracks me up! in her mix of sex and politics that is The Huffington Post’s, winning formula. Here she is on Horiwood.Com today. We love her!!!
ARIANNA HUFFINGTON: OBAMA’S FIRST 100 DAYS: THE GOOD, THE BAD, and THE GEITHER
[source] Any list of the most impressive achievements of Obama’s first 100 days should start with the intangible qualities of transformational leadership — from the president’s personal equanimity (which Robert Reich described as “the serene center of the cyclone — exuding calm when most Americans are petrified”) to his masterful use of the bully pulpit. The biggest black mark on Obama’s first 100 days is his head-scratching reliance on the bank-centric beliefs of Larry Summers and Tim Geithner. In his appointments at almost every agency, Obama has demonstrated a desire to receive a wide range of opinion. But at Treasury, the range of opinion goes all the way from Goldman to Sachs.
Tomorrow, I’ll be interviewing Virgin Group founder and record-breaking adventurer Sir Richard Branson aboard Virgin’s inaugural flight from San Francisco to Orange County.
I love those little brainy geeky smart people at the website 24/7 Wall Street. They’re pretty clever and thoughtful too. As I write this from Hollywood, California’s unemployment rate has risen from 10% to 11.3% in just the last month. So, this information is pretty vital. First up are the companies, perhaps not to work for…
Flashback from the past: Tea Party Protest Signs: We are all people in America regardless of color.
The way President Geroge W.Bush spent U.S taxpayers dollars in his Presidential term, has become Obama’s inherited legacy of sorts as a President.
There’s no perfect leaders. They can just try their best.
