BLOGGERS WITH BRAINS WORTH A MENTION FROM HOLLYWOOD
Brainy bloggers–people who add intellectual bounce and thought and wittiness to their blogging mix here in America–are often underrated on celebrity blog sites. Such bloggers are as unique to America, just like kangaroos are for example and their uniqueness found in one nation only, on earth. Intellectual thinkers definitely have unique thoughts only found here in the USA.
On this blog, good thought-provoking bloggers rock, and the view is that they should be seen, read, heard and shared.
I want everyone to read their thoughts and know that they exist. If you live in Hollywood (for reals), you will know that thinkers are greatly valued. They make pretty people look better. Thinkers are the secret skill of making Hollywood’s wheels of celebrity spin the brightest.
Check out some of America’s finest news bloggers – who bring American perspective along with their hard journalistic facts!

D.C’s LAWMAKERS AND CASH BRIBES
“Lawmakers seek cash during key votes” is the top story of the HuffPo today. A good read, raising again the question of is democracy in the law making process always bought?
Every nation has varying degrees of this story. Food for thought.

PEOPLE WHO JUST GOT COOLER THIS CHRISTMAS
REESE WITHERSPOON’S WATER FOR ELEPHANTS GETS A LATER RELEASE DATE
Water for Elephants will have to be quenched one week later than anticipated at the box office.
Fox has changed the release date for the film — starring Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson — from April 15 to the 22.
I wonder what films are dropping like they’re hot in Hollywood on the 15th then to make Water have it’s new debut date. Interesting stuff.

A HOST OF SPORTS GAME BREAKERS – FOR RUGBY WORLD CUP, THE HOTTEST SPORTS EVENT 2011
Guess what? Dudes who poke their tongues out on the football field and do the Maori haka are creative enough to be called “game breakers” by leading sports commentators of the sporting code. Not bad! These lads pictured via Getty Images are creative and tough to evolve and break the game open at new sporting levels of play.
Writes the All Blacks Website’s Sports News Section: “Even considering personal preferences and allegiance, the makeup of the best team of the season past will have a heavy tinge of Black, reflecting a test calendar where Richie McCaw and his men won 13 of 14 tests. Rugby sites and various pundits from around the world have compiled their best team of the year.
Rugby sites and various pundits from around the world have compiled their best team of the year. Planet Rugby selected no less than eleven All Blacks in their starting XV, whilst rugby365 put seven New Zealanders in their selection. Rugbyheaven of Sydney Morning Herald in Australia selected ten All Blacks, while even Green and Gold Rugby, a notoriously pro-Australian rugby site, put eight kiwis in their run out team.
What is notable is that it is considered necessary to have multiple world class players in a team to have any hope of winning a World Cup. Not one or two players, but a host of game breakers who can change a test with a certain play.”
Looks like the World Cup is shaping up to be quite the hot sports event of the world. Believe me, rugby football is so much fun. Hollywood media conglomerate, Universal/ Comcast are gearing to broadcast and broker the Rugby World Cup sporting football coverage into the US next year. Should be hot to watch either on the telly but particular in person, at the event. Rugby culture and its supporters are crazy, wild, fun. You really have to sit in a live rugby match to feel the made love. It’s the best sporting buzz in the world. That and Super Bowl and Wimbledon finals as well as Soccer World Cup. Top sports entertainment live.
A note to all rugby football players worldwide. Americans love big toothy smiles. Everyone here puts white caps on theirs, especially Hollywood stars and sports stars to produce that winning smile for a camera’s close up. Now would be a really good time for leading cosmetic dentists in every rugby football nation to step forward as corporate sponsors perhaps. Just a suggestion mind.”
Universal Sports Coverage Currently includes: Alpine Skiing; Beach Volleyball; Bobsled; Curling; Cycling; Diving; Horsey stuff (Equestrian); Ice Queens (Figure Skating; Sport with Rings (Gymnastics); That one Canadians are real good at (Hockey); Luge; Marathon; Nordic Combined; Olympics; Paralympics; Rowing; Rugby; Skeleton; Ski Jumping; Snowboarding; Speed Skating, Swimming; Track & Field. Universal is also well known worldwide for movie making, as in Universal Pictures and bringing good funny TV shows to the world as in James Cameron presents Sanctum & The Little Fockers for example. Oh wait… those were their films. Wicked: The Musical. Oh shoot… that’s their big Broadway Musical foray show. Their TV Shows are: Keeping Up with the Kardashian; Kourtney & Khloé Kardashians; Fashion Police and The Big Picture to name a few of Universal’s most popular TV shows.
You can also visit with your family at Universal Citywalk Theme Park (pictured above) before or after visiting Rugby World Cup live too. It’s all up to you. Fun!

KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS AND CHRISTMAS MIRACLES FOR FAMILIES HAVING BABIES
“Children are a blessing from the Lord”–King Solomon
It’s a good thing that some families are conscious about having babies on the family social agenda radar. Birth rates and marriage rates in the USA are at an all time low right now at time of writing. In a global world, there’s always adoption from other nations. But it is good to adopt as well as families breeding too, if they’re brave. Kids are full on these days, so you need big shoulders to take on parenting in any capacity, I reckon. A nations greatest treasure are its elderly and its children. Between these two points we are all strung like pearls on an evolving cultural continuum of society.
According to OK! Magazine of America, The Kardashians are all about baby love focus in 2011 and the 2010′s. Sounds good to me. In my family, we have a beautiful bundle of joy about to arrive any day now. So exciting! A new level of family leadership emerges. This one, I think on the sports field. I just have that vibe.
Let’s get back to the Kardashians in Hollywood. OK! reports: “as they celebrate the holidays, the Kardashians are ready for a Christmas miracle — more babies to add to the family in 2011.”
Let’s hope this family gets as many family miracles as they hope for in the years ahead here in California.

RINGING MY MAORI MOM FROM CALIFORNIA THIS CHRISTMAS 11.24.10
I just spoke to my Maori mom on the phone wishing her and dad a very Merry California Christmas.
She was sooooooo excited to hear my voice in a way only a Maori mom is.
Hot topics of conversation were: Mom warning me about the perils of “Facebook oversharing.” Heavens forbid!
Mom is in her 70′s and she goes to see Bono live at U2 concerts and holidays in Paihia that is rark-it-up seaside resort township for New Year’s eve of New Zealand each year… so mom did make me laugh about Facebook. Apparently many of my beautiful, talented, breeding and entertaining family are having family Christmas in a New Zealand top secret Christmas party location, right at this minute. So… I just might have to ring into that party real soon, like So Undercover via the telephone via the top secret telephone number given to me by mom, and spice it up the party a little. ;)
To all my family/ whanau all friends in Christchurch, in Melbourne, in Papakura, in Beverly Hills, in Arizona, in China, at PPL HQ, in New Zealand, in Malibu, in Auckland The Supercity, on Catalina Island, in Westwood, in California, in Wellington and in Helensville –Mere Kirihimete, I love you and God bless.

I was looking today at Arianna Huffington of that blog in New York City that is quite extensive in showcasing other peoples brainy thoughts all year round. It’s really entertaining this year observing how Ari has transformed herself into the Christmas Divorcee Santa’s little helper this year of The Big Apple. She just keeps on getting better as a blogger in that uptight Ari way. I like her Christmas a lot this year. Christmas time is a time where many people get divorced. Who knows why? Stress I guess. However I like Ari’s focus, that if you focus on families entirely worse off than your own, it just might help a lot to appreciate the family that you do have. Quite wise really.
Here’s her message, shared for the City of Los Angeles too this Christmas Eve:
Dear People,
“Merry Christmas. I’m back from Chile (Feliz Navidad) and Brazil (Feliz Natal), and celebrating with my daughters and my ex (see HuffPost Divorce) in New York. This year’s It’s A Wonderful Life Award goes to Gregory Schauer, the unemployed man who demonstrated the true Christmas spirit by taking in a homeless woman and her three children for the holidays. Remarkably, when we contacted Greg to tell him about all the people who had written in offering to help him, he told us: “Please let them know that the best thing they can do is pass it on so to speak. Instead of sending me anything, call a shelter, sponsor a family for Christmas, give to the food pantries, spread the spirit of Christmas to as many people as they can.” So, in Greg’s honor, please go to The Goods, our online store featuring goods and services for those in need, and make a purchase in Greg’s name* (My choice was to help pay the rent of a family in need).
*Before adding your selection to your cart, click the box that indicates you want your donation to be a gift, put down Greg Schauer as the recipient, and gregsholidaywish@gmail.com as the recipient’s email. We’ll make sure he gets your message.

JESSICA WATSON, OPRAH WINFREY AND YOU KNOW WHEN YOU’RE A GLOBAL ENTERTAINMENT BRAND WHEN
You know when you’re a global entertainment brand when: These things (advertisements from entertainment companies featured below) start appearing above your blog posts’ search engine items on Google in Hollywood as people pay Google to put their ads above your posts. Who ever would have thought that would happen?!
Oh… and Oprah wanted to be a sailer for a nanosecond and dreamed that she would and could be–just so she could say that for a cool magazine interview in LA’s Parade Magazine, after leaving Chicago and heading to California to start her new TV network. In the interview her comments about television are so deep. (See bold bits).
I think for a split nano-second the big O wanted to be a very popular Australian sailing teen, like Jessica Watson (above). Why not?!!! Even role models need role models. Oprah’s found hers this year. By the way Jessica is a blogger too. She has her own merch and online store. Read Winfrey’s thoughts on sailing below these crazy ads. It’s so meshugenah that people are making money off this blog. ;)

Says Oprah: “I was questioning, Why don’t I build a boat and sail around the world? Why don’t I learn French and find a nice little house in Provence? I could see myself bicycling with my baguettes and the whole thing. But I talked it over with my friends, and they all said, ‘You’re not going to be happy doing nothing.’ What will be a failure is if nobody comes and watches this network. What others will perceive as failure is if some shows don’t succeed. I’m concerned about the bigger overall picture: my belief that people are basically good and want to see the good in them reflected through their experiences and the shows that they watch. This is a gamble I’m taking. I believe that the banal state of television, the kind of insipid space that we’re in–that you can have as many channels as we have and not find anything that really interests you–means that to a great extent we’ve lost our way.”

FROM HOLLYWOOD – PRIVATE JOHN HOWARD, NEW ZEALAND, RIP
“Keeping secrets on our pillow”–Brandon Flowers lyrics, for those who grieve grief’s unquantifiable language in the dark night of the soul.
“As a family, we have been so fortunate to have a son and a brother who has so enriched our lives. To the young men of this country, Jack would want me to say this: Be your own man, do not be afraid to dream and pursue those dreams with quiet determination. Be sincere in your friendships, and keep those friendships in good repair. Stay true to your beliefs. Love your mother,”–the farewell words of Roger Howard on behalf of his family and friends, Anne Scott and daughters Charlotte and Isabella–as Roger laid his son, Private John Howard (Jack) to rest at Wellington’s Cathedral of St Paul in New Zealand’s capitol.
Private Howard was a Kiwi lad serving in the the 3rd Battalion in The Parachute Regiment of the British military, who was ‘killed by American soldiers piloting an American F-18 Hornet fighter, during a friendly fire incident in Helmand, Afghanistan,’ reports the UK Daily Telegraph.
Two Maori warriors carrying taiaha (traditional Maori wooden weapons of the art of Mau Rakau hand combat martial arts) ‘accompanied Private Howard’s coffin along with seven of his fellow British soldiers.’ In very poignant imagery, his coffin was draped in a Union Jack flag and with a traditional hand woven Maori cloak as he was carried into the cathedral, with his family following behind.’
His family are such big-hearted people to be able to forgive the futility of Private Howard’s loss of life in Afghanistan’s war effort. The cost of war to America and allies has been shared by many in common bonds of brotherhood in the hope of peace in the world.
New Zealand is a small nation. News like this rocks New Zealand culture to the heart, deeply. We don’t have all that many people to lose, our nation is small. One life lost is like 10,000 to us. It feels like as a Kiwi looking at New Zealand from afar in California that I’ve unexpectedly found myself crying about 29 lost miners gone too soon recently and now Private John gone too soon as well.
Such news makes any Kiwi cry. Blokes included. We’re just wired that way to fellow Kiwis in a deep and committed sense of place and Life’s purpose in the world. I’m tired of crying for New Zealand blokes lately in Hollywood, whose lives have been lost too early in the pursuit of the earth’s energy resources or a real sense of Peace too in the world transcending war. Accidents resulting in loss of lives in both cases, where unexpectedly men weren’t safe. Sorry, but I am. It’s just gut wrenching and we all share their loss and contributions to our culture.
RIP Private Howard. Sending kind healing thoughts and prayers for the Howard-Scott families this Christmas. A Kiwi brother of Commonwealth and Am-Kiwi community gone way too soon. What a beautiful send off for this Kiwi lad as these pictures show. John’s grandmother Elizabeth Scott looked very regal at the helm of her family.
Haere ra ou tatou teina–a symbol of a younger brother’s vital potential– to us all. Hollywood salutes your blood father’s spoken symbolic words of Peace in the Spirit of shared bronaaki culture (fellowship) that is Our Protector, stronger than war’s unquenchable grave and the proven Victor over death itself. Mauri ‘Ola Tatou. Ka Tu Te Whare Ka Ora o Te Ao i te taha o Te Awa Ora, Mo Ake Tonu.
In the spirit of global brotherhood that surpasses any difference of race, geographical borders, religious or cultural boundaries too in our shared humanity of melanin fused with spirit on this same shared earth we love, here’s the group Candella singing Brandon Flowers song Crossfire in honor of Private Howard’s life of service for the world. The song is offered from Hollywood today in the hope of Peace’s diverse rule and expressions in hearts and minds universally as an intelligent way forward of all leaders of future generations who wear Wisdom’s timeless glasses to see the best paths forward for children to walk in freely. Children who as global friends, consider each other equally and who build good friendships across all cultures of the world, as their open hearts so choose to as our guides, teachers and leaders without fear. [Thanks Candella & Brandon Flowers]

REFORMED HEROIN ADDICT HELEN BAYLOR, SINGS ALL OF ME, FOR CHRISTMAS 2010
“Mould me in your hands, into a vessel you can use”–song lyrics, the incomparable Helen Baylor
At this minute in Hollywood, a certain malpracticing ‘doctor’ has been accusing a certain A-Listed actress of being a non-reformed and current heroin addict, for his own try hard publicity. This woman has children. And he’s doing this at Christmas time. What a raping grinch!
This is what a real reformed heroin addict does look like. Drug addiction is a disease like any other that is nothing to be proud of or ashamed of either. It’s just something that some good people are or have been afflicted by. Many people in Hollywood, New York and Australia are afflicted by heroine addiction.
This real reformed heroine addict (above) is so beautiful on the inside. Her name is Helen Baylor and for our West Hollywood Christmas Special, Helen sings All of Me live, because in her life, she credits overcoming heroin dependancy on her faith in God. In this song she offers up her life as a broken gift, full of the good, the bad and the plain ugly facts of her life. So powerful! Ms. Baylor makes me bawl my face off when she sings. If you hear her life story, you’ll bawl your face off too. Yet Helen ‘aint ever graced a cover of a tabloid or a visible-to-all magazine. Why is that I wonder? She’s a total winner.
I love her. Stars don’t get more real than Helen Baylor this Christmas. Her story belongs in a future Hollywood film. Helen Baylor’s life is the freaking Christmas story. No one can deny Helen her Christmas story. If you tried, she’d sing you out of the ball park. Go lady! Sing the Christmas blues. Merry Christmas people, especially ya’ll in West Hollywood. This year we are celebrating grinch-freeness in our lives at Christmas.
We are celebrating living lives beyond lies and falsity too. 2011′s hot American goal. It’s actually a miracle many of us are even having a Christmas this year and that we are choosing to. Truly, it is. We overcame a lot this year in two years of the most hideous economy ever, where we still watched the greedy get greedier and act like spoiled children, more uglier to me than heroine addicts are, wanting more so blatantly. That stuff was sick! Average people perhaps like ourselves all got a bit thinner and came out on top this year, still smiling. Wow! How cool are all you people? You’re the best! Let’s keep at it then. Grinch-kicking has become my new sport. Join me in it, in making the world a sweeter place in 2011. Meanness, stingyness (the flipside of greed), let’s kick it to the curb when we see it, to win. Up!
Click on Helen’s picture above to see a winner shine drug free. Her gratitude is medicine. Can’t get enough of her spirit to celebrate living life to the fullest with healthy respect for the gift of life. Wow!

HUGH LAURIE ON THE SHOCK HORRORS OF CONTINUING THE AMERICAN ACCENT AS A TV DOCTOR FOR 7 YEARS
Yabbering on from the magazine pages of GQ France, much awarded British actor, Hugh Laurie is riding the coat tails of his House MD costar, Olivia Wilde‘s new box office success (Tron: Legacy).
In Hollywood it always pays to back younger stars, because they become your insurance plan later in life. Seriously though, the very talented Hugh talks about the unexpected events in his California life at getting to talk in an American accent in a hospital fake setting–for six years longer than he thought would happen. He’s fun, as ever.
On House MD‘s ongoing success: When I auditioned, I thought that within two weeks it would all be over. I had not imagined that seven years later, we would still be here. At the same time, it was a good script with a complex role. I appreciated the series in its entirety– clever, funny, with the ability to express different tones. Sometimes witty, dramatic, funny, other times clownish. I found that original, I understood the character.
On the art of acting with an American accent: Frankly, I have no technique. It takes practice. There are words that I cannot say such as “murder” or “girlfriend.” Too many “r”s. I used a coach for like, 20 minutes! Terribly useless. I should not say that, it will annoy people in Hollywood. Seriously, I’m not convinced by the method. I’ve never had any acting training. Sometimes I feel guilty: Sometimes I feel fragile and I would love to posses the knowhow. But I’m not sure you can teach actors how to speak.
Isn’t he the funniest? He’s like the Jon Hamm of hospital sets drama. He keeps getting quirkier with time.

SHOUT TO THE LORD AS A HOLLYWOOD CHRISTMAS CAROL
Mountains bow down and the seas will roar at the sound of your name. I sing for joy at the work of your hands. Forever I’ll love you forever I’ll stand. Nothing compares to the promise I have in you.–song lyrics of Darlene Zschech.
It’s Christmas Time in Hollywood California. I don’t know why I’m so excited about Christmas this year, however it is exciting! In the festive spirit of Christmas, here’s Shout to the Lord a song that has sold around the world more than most pop star’s can claim selling a number 1 hit as sung by the cast of American Idol one year.
The song is written by Australian singer/ songwriter Darlene Zschech who started life as a child model doing Coppertone tanning lotion advertisements.
May you always know your great promise this Christmas. Merry Christmas from West Hollywood. :)

THE HORIWOOD TOP TEN – MON 12.20.10
Husband. What husband, says the UK when selecting their most favorite wedding pic of Nicole Richie‘s big wedding day with Benji Madden. UK media prefer a picture of American interracial and intergenerational family-star power with Nicole and her dad Lionel Richie for this magazine cover and an image of modern family.
A very sweet picture of Michael Jackson‘s god-daughter and her dad. What a beautiful bride, Richie was. Weddings, marriage romance, commitment in love from two people to each other rising above (through and past) current economic times and anything that politicians may (or may not) say– is the new trend of the 2010′s. Long live true love.

THE HORIWOOD TOP TEN – CHRISTMAS EVE – 12.24.10
“Our cup overfloweth with joie de vivre to share with others”–motto for 2011 onwards.
This Christmas Eve is the month where a Maori Hollywood entertainment celebrity blog made history and hit the 2.8 million threshold thanks to you all worldwide. That’s never happened before in Hollywood’s entertainment history. Hawaii takes the top spot as both the 44thPresident of America and New Zealand’s Prime Minister vacation at the tropical jewel isles location of the USA.
Here in California this artwork at the Wiedeman gallery photographed in Hollywood this eve, reminds me of the umbrella I’ve been living under while living here in Hollywood California to date. Very French with a Hollywood twist. And Jakey Davis shines with two of his biggest fans, sister Taylor Jane and his mom, teen mom’s champion life coach - The Maori Rose of Sharon across the world in New Zealand. It’s all about children and their world we help and support them create. As you can see, I’m on Jakey’s program as he’s already busting out his Peace sign moves for photos, so fine like already, on a Kiwi beach. Too cute.
Hollywood entertainment and celebrity news on Christmas here in the Hollywood hood as voted by you the people worlwide. Here’s how we’re looking in our top ten today. Merry New Zealand Christmas and Happy Hollywood Christmas Eve. Thanks people.
1. Security at Kailua as the Obama‘s vacation in Hawaii is headline worthy
