FUN JOURNALISM 2013

Jesse Mulligan Ali Mau Greg B Naughty TV journliasts 2013

Well “good evening Auckland,” NZ journalists in Wellington can be fun. :)

Current events TV (news talk show TV) can be a good distraction from a gazumping of a gazillion political sins of inequality. We are in a political culture where NZ’s liquid economy syphoning games tends to flow direct to banks - in the way the New Zealand landscape’s productivity is divvied up and decided.  (more…)

SUSTAINABLE WAHINE = A THOUGHTFUL WORLD OF CONSIDERATE THINKERS PLANNING

sustainability practices global

via twitter I read writings of rebecca kamm :

rk writes via her link:  the world is hot. we’re busy hoovering up natural resources. rk blames usa uber-consumerism in tone. however let’s perserveere: the UN estimates a 9.6b pop by 2050. a fear report link follows. better agricultural practices technology can help. solutions towards smarter energy can too. recognizing equality in brainpower of all people can help. there are more ladies in nz than men, so it makes sense equality is smart on all levels. not so in india, china though. more guys than girls by 60+ millions.    (more…)

SCIENCE WORDS – EDUCATOR OCEAN MERCIER 2013

Ocean Mercer Maori Scientist is a bit spesh 2013
Maori world views within the scientific community are important and celebrated the people and ideas delivering an edge in the world of science. Maori have always been scientists and continue to be scientists. Our brand of science maybe a little different from Western science but, nonetheless, it allowed us to work in the world, to be in the world, to live in the world, to survive in the world for generations.

CULTURAL MOTIVATION & BELIEF SYSTEM – EDUCATION, MEDICINE & DR. HINEMOA ELDER

Hinemoa Elder NZPA

“Your belief system, your commitment to medicine and your cultural motivation,” are factors that make good New Zealand doctors today.

Hinemoa Elder is the no.1 most requested New Zealand person on the website today. That’s amazing! Hinemoa was a well known TV talent who went to Med School later in life than most younger students she studied with. She graduated.

Today, New Zealand still needs more Maori and Pasifika Med Students enrolling at most universities in NZ.

NIKKI FINKE… BEST HOLLYWOOD SNARKING, GOLDEN GLOBES 2013

The DPA Gift Lounge - Day Three

She doesn’t have the big budgets of the studio, yet if you are at a Hollywood event, beneath all of those “beautiful” smiles, around the table all you hear is snark and quips… whispered ever so politely, so… you’ve got to give it up to Nikki Finke for flipping the hood with her Live Snark 70th Golden Globes coverage.

The context is: “an event only, set in Hollywood, where Finke’s office is.” Outside of that context, you would not think Nikki is kind. Yet, Finke has carte blanche to add some lemon-salt in to the mix. NFworks harder than most payola grandstanders. Brittle at times though. In the world of blogging, Finke is the Jodi Foster of the Hollywood industries’ entertainment blog of the girls. Nikki’s gruelling competition and her ability to stay on top, set’s Finke apart from the pack. You can’t really cover a Hollywood event, without seeing what she’s up to. (more…)

Patricia McGrath Wowo Say no to domestic violence New Zealand Speaks

It’s a very sad time for a New Zealand family. Patricia McGrath known as Wowo‘s tangi (a funeral) at Titoki, reminds us of why violence* in homes and domestic violence hurts communities, families and lives. Domestic violence always has tragic effects. Many lives have been healed and have recovered from it in a journey of recovery. For Wowo, sadly New Zealand lost a daughter, mother future grandma as a result of domestic violence.

Say no to domestic violence is the family’s message as NZ speaks. (more…)

MILLIONAIRE WORKING MOTHERS CLUB – BEYONCE LEADS THE PACK 2013 PRIME TIME TV

Beyonce

Today I am on a Beyonce buzz kick. That tends to conjur up links asap to The Millionaire Working Mothers Club kick.

I try and be supportive of the ladies. It’s chivalrous to be that way. An old school Kiwi trait. (Here’s a post on that vibe).

Working Mother No.1 – Beyonce: Rolling Stone Magazine (I just cant’ get enough)… On ”we want to get that [community music vibe] back.

“In a new interview with GQ, Beyoncé revealed that she has been working with Justin Timberlake, Pharrell, Timbaland and The-Dream on her upcoming record.

“We all started in the Nineties,” Beyoncé said of herself and her collaborators, “when R&B was the most important genre, and we all kind of want that back: the feeling that music gave us.” Bey went on to add that the follow-up to her 2011 effort, 4, has myriad influences: Prince, D’Angelo, Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross and 1960s doo-wop artists.

Beyonce has landed no.1 top billing in the Prime Time American TV show of 2013. Woot! Read more: Roll St.

Working Mother No.2: If Beyonce doesn’t float your boat then there’s always Kate Middleton‘s latest portrait too. Everyone’s quite excited the ex-hockey loving Kate will be joining the working mothers club too of England. A big step for Kate.

Working Mother No.3: A Kiwi version: Rebecca Allcock and NZ Millionaire Mums 2013. A real cool article to read at your own leisure. (more…)

ABORTION. ABDUCTION. GENDER INEQUALITY – VALUING WOMEN RIGHT

UK: Blood tests that disclose the sex of a foetus are widely available on the internet or abroad… if anyone has evidence of sex-selection abortions being performed in specific cases, we will refer them to the police to investigate.”–Rowena Mason reports on a trend in the UK, where there are more boy babies being born than girl babes with 600 abortions performed daily. Read on.

USA: A lot of Americans are choosing lifestyle over having children. Also the breeders (girls) are discovering after lots of pharmaceutical products, it’s harder to breed then they’d ever thought possible. On the other hand, Hispanic-Americans are breeding young in the USA, getting on with it.

India: In tonight’s news, we learned that India has 50million less women than men now, due to abortion alone. (more…)

MID-FIRES JULIA GILLARD TACKLES CHILD ABUSE NEXT – A ROYAL COMMISSION MATTER

NSW are on high alert during vacation season 2013. In the interim, Australia’s PM goes into overdrive kickstarting her year off with child abuse in her sights. ”Hideous. Shocking. Vile,” are her opening lines of Gillard’s latest rant.

”I believe our nation needs to have this royal commission.”

Love it. Girlfriend… bring it on. The worst kind of child abuse occurring at the moment is economic child abuse. Where inequality rises, it is a statistical fact abuse towards children rises with it. In times of greed and inequality, children and their families are often left exposed and vulnerable by The State. The abuse of children abused in such conditions, was pre-set for children economically by leaders… so I think a politician in the South Pacific and Asia-Pacific whose people are earning well, (entire)… is more than qualified to go for the jugular on the child abuse issue with integrity.  (more…)

THE MOBILE RETIREE INVESTOR AMBASSADORS – IMAGINATIVE INVENTORY OF INVESTMENTS TRAVEL

“You don’t have to sell everything you own, say goodbye to everyone you’ve ever known, and take off for a new life in some distant and exotic place, never to be heard from again. That’s not the only way to realize the benefits of retiring overseas.

You could, rather, just dip a toe in. The options for a rewarding, fulfilling and affordable retirement today are limited only by the retiree’s imagination. Well, to be fair, his imagination … and his capacity for the bold and brave… This isn’t all or nothing. You can think part-time.. Rent your house… go travel.”

–feminist, captialist, publisher Katlheen Peddicord of Live and Invest Overseas magazine… sure knows what ‘she’s’ doing on her website.
