I've been staring at the sky tonight
Marvelling and passing time
Wondering what to do
with daylight
...
Writing: if I've properly
studied what's going on in me,
there's a good chance it'll read
as if it's about you.

Although graphene the new super material in the works is pitted to be the new silicon, ashton kutcher, 34, is known in hollywood for his entrepreneurial silicon ventures in i.t and the guy who was the first social media megastar of the USA when twitter launched.
For Ashton, when so much of his wealth and interests are spread across i.t ventures and i.t development, parlaying his star profile that would best suit his business portfolio, saw ashton step into the role of steve jobs for the biopic film of the usa’s once no.1 nasdaq listed company.

“he’s a guy who failed and got back on the horse… i think we can all sort of relate to that at some point in life… what was nice was when I was preparing for the character, i could still work on product development for technology companies, and I would sort of stay in character, (more…)
“I know you’ll always give it to me straight, as only a friend can, telling me not only what I want to hear, but more importantly, what I need to hear to make the best possible decisions on behalf of the [people]… Gets it done. And that’s the kind of focus, but also the kind of heart, that [we] want.”
~President Obama on Denis McDonough‘s of Stillwater’s selection as new Chief of Staff, the position originally held by Rahm Emanuel. What all leaders need are honest people around them. Being afraid to tell the truth, doesn’t help leaders at all. What we need to hear, always comes at great cost. It shouldn’t though, it should be normal.
Beyonce Knowles is a bit of a merch marketing empire. The Houston native, NYC dwelling diva not only blogs, instagrams too, she’s also launched BeyHive. Kinda Austin Powers funny. It’s a website ”through my eyes,” the singer-dancing-athlete says. Artwork of fans is what the site features (Americans go overboard for creating pop art tributes to their most loved stars, in a way nz doesn’t yet know how to, or care to much either). Interesting ideas Beyonce is loving or being inspired by also make the site.
The singer’s fan base in New Zealand is strong. We’ll be in the mode to “stay tuned” for sure. Why we like her? Her sister is funny on twitter. I’ve been a big fan of Solange too since Sol-Angel started on social media as a pioneer of it, way back when. A beautiful creative artist with words and cultural expression in quite an understated cleva way. Non stop cleva. (more…)
David Alexander snapped a photo of former playing man, turned author, Andre Agassi, inking a book. He also inked a copy of his book in the Pravda. It’s a mighty long way to fly to ink books in a town of 450k people. Good on Andre.

Young Sloane Stephens, 19, caused an upset at Melbourne in the tennis. If you’ve lived in Melbourne as I did during special summer working vacation months, slugging it out working in the heat, in my New Zealand college years, you will know that the Australia Open is seen as one of the most fun festive tennis events in the world. People jet in from around the globe to celebrate the event. It’s an elite audience event. (more…)
Beyonce was a stand out star for the Obama family’s inaug day. A version of the star spangled banner had the USA on its feet. Mario Lavandeira‘s website shares 9 funny moments of the event too. Lol!

I missed the Woodrow W. Clark symposium at Beverly Hills before leaving the US for New Zealand. Gov. Gray Davis and Woodrow’s thoughts impressed me enough to take a photo just prior to jumping on a jet. I took the snap as I wanted to research Woodrow & Gov. Gray’s thoughts when I could. Now could quite possibly be that time. Renewable energy and sustainability in the 3IR realm of infrastructure advances is the vibe of what they do.
His thoughts are more relevant today perhaps than ever.
