ANDY SAMBERG TO PRODUCE NEW TV PILOT
New TV Pilot News: One of TV’s funniest guys has a new gig.
Fox has given a pilot order to an untitled comedy project toplined by former SNL regular Andy Samberg. The pilot, about a diverse group of detectives at a New York precinct, will be executive produced by Dan Goor and co-creator/showrunner Mike Schur. David Miner also will executive produce, with Samberg producing. Universal TV, where Schur has an overall deal, is behind the comedy. More@THR.

GREECE PROTESTS AUSTERITY DEAL – 8th NOVEMBER 2012
The morning after the US elections, Greece is in major turmoil:
The TV is splahed with these images and issues Greece is reacting to: Raising the retirment age. Job cuts. Reducing saleries. 1 out of 2 young adults unemployed. 20% of all families living in poverty. Riots in Athens.
–Indeed, Greece reacts strongly to the coalition government meeting to discuss accepting Greece’s latest austerity bail out. If Greece accepts they are bound to a life of poverty. If they refute the ‘deal,’ they are out of the Eurozone. The deal offers Greece $22b in cuts. It’s not really a deal, it’s a sentence. Or a take-over bid of Greece in part.
What I think: We all need to adopt some Greek people. Some of the greatest philosphers, leaders and scientists of the world are inspired by Greece’s philosopher’s contribution to the world. That’s food for thought when thinking more kindly about Greece. Germany especially.
