I think most people would agree that Hollywood Welshman Steve Jones‘ contract not being carried over on the X Factor for anothoer season was very harsh.
Jones’ did a fair enough job as reality TV show host in this show’s first season. Hollywood swings its cameras today onto the break out star’s personal life.
RUGBY LEGEND MICHAEL JONES BRINGS CARL’S JR BURGERS TO NEW ZEALAND
For many rugby enthusiasts, rugby football player Michael Jones, remains their most favorite rugby star of all time.
Once in Hollywood, when a statue had been made and cast in bronze in Michael “The Iceman” Jones honor, I blogged from a Hollywood Starbucks, that Michael’s mom was quite famous for her warm hospitality and her faith. Aunty Maina could have quite easily had a cafe of her own. It would have been packed. her big heartedness was always a real draw.
I thought these thoughts that cold Hollywood day (it was near snowing in Burbank that eve) while blogging and looking out the window at a Carl’s Jr. burger joint opposite me. Today, Michael Jones and his brother in law are actually bringing Carls Jr. to New Zealand. Go here to read more. Too funny! :)

SERBIA’S CONTRIBUTION TO HOLLYWOOD KIDS STUDIES, DODGING SHAMAN SCREENWRITERS, PARIS HILTON BIRTHDAYS AND HOLLYWOOD CAFE BLOGGING – 2.20.11
Blogging at a Hollywod cafe today, I realized that I’d chosen a brand new cafe to go to, where nobody knew who I was. I figured that a change of location would keep the ‘blogging from Hollywood game’ fair.
The second I’d pressed the ‘publish online button’ about a story I read via The Associated Press about a baby being named Facebook in Egypt, a man interrupted me with a question, “I need help. I know you can help me. I’m a Budhist Shaman and I wrote a script that I wonder if the author of ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo‘ actually stole. I know you can help me. What should I do?”
Realizing that people are getting desperate for spiritual direction in the world in these times and that I had a guy interrupt me only yesterday as I was leaving a Starbucks, saying ‘I’m trained in Native American Indian mysticism and have studied spirituality in China too and I sense in you, that your ancestors are very powerful people you’re in touch with’ – I wasn’t feeling this kind of interruption today, as I don’t have the time to be dominated like that, here in America every day to confirm or disagree with peoples own spiritual journeys, they’re very proud of.
I said to the screenwriter claiming ‘Hollywood IP Theft’ the words “just update and modify your script idea to be something else, so it’s half how you had it and half not like The Dragon Tattoo book/ film.”
He smiled and said “Thank you so much. That’s what I’ll do. Now tell me how did you know how to do that and are you a Shaman too?”
I say, “I believe that any spiritual guidance, should be confirmation to what your own spirit’s guidance and direction is at this point. That way, you don’t high-jack someone’s own path with your own imposed spiritual guidance on someone else- but you’re more a friend helping someone see light as they’re able and aware to handle it.” I could tell, he too was very proud of his spiritual beliefs.
“I want to talk to you some more.”
I said “No.”
Thankfully two students from Northridge college are studying Science, Medicine, Technology and Economics, because they saw this happen. As they are doing ‘normal things’ where the world needs to head, that sort of made up for the intrusion.
I asked the students, “Was that a bit weird?”
They laughed and say “Yeah dude, that’s totally weird. Did they know you?”
“No.”
“Wow. That wasn’t normal. Are you okay?”
“Yeah. Of course.”
Like the Kardashian family these students are Armenian-American too. They came from Russia originally. Nice people. Alright… now that Peace has returned, let’s get on with Hollywood blogging then. No more ‘hungry spiritual’ people allowed near me!
The Armenian college couple talk to me about how “Albert Einstein’s wife (nee Marić), Serbian Mileva Einstein who once studied in Zurich, did all of the work. She had the best mind out of the two, they believe, yet because women weren’t really allowed to have ‘a face in science’ back in those days, Albert got all the credit.” This topic consumes them. They are even writing an essay about it.
I put my headphones on and listen to three cheeky kids, singing Aaradhna, a hip hop community’s r n’ b soul queen from Aotearoa New Zealand to maintain a regained sense of peace. These kids are much more fun, than the oddly surreal Shaman screenwriter with his very subservient girlfriend beside him, that’s for sure, as Aaradhna’s golden coco-licious tones still wow me, from across an Ocean far away from where she sings.
In local celebrity news, did I mention, that Paris Hilton had a fun Birthday Party last night at a Hollywood hotel? The hotel wanted the publicity so much, they paid for everything to throw the Birthday Bash for her. Hollywood’s nightlife is a fiercely contested zone. Just like Hollywood bloggers psyches and thinking space is. Apparently!!! That was Hollywood today, for one local, in a community cafe snapshot.

A nice Halle Berry celebrity shout out from Liv Tyler this Halloween was on the celebrity radar.

A family at play. While Paris Hilton did her usual sailor girl, corset, Halloween attire, while throwing a big private Halloween party this year. I don’t know why America loves to dress up and hide behind masks so passionately, but here we do. Still wrapping my head around that one and the American culture in general after almost five years. I must say that Lady Gaga song, Poker Face accelerated my ability to understand Halloween and mask wearing a bit better. Girl lifted the lid on that one.

ADRIAN GRENIER AND THE TEENAGE PAPARAZZO
When I watch this clip of Adrian Grenier of Entourage making his first reality TV series in competitive Hollywood, as a past reality TV series director and writer, these are my thoughts on a teenage Paparazzo as a subject of Grenier’s producing/ director efforts in my hood.
1. Do Hollywood teenagers ever go to school?
2. Clearly Lindsay and Paris are ‘acting’ in this.
3. Good on this kid.
4. When I last caught up with Adrien, literally in the hood, two blocks from my place at Club Voyeur - I discovered that all of his paps (lines of them) were paid extras holding cameras.
5. If Lady Gaga hires paparazzi for her concerts – to look more famous, than what she is, then why can’t Adrian? What’s good for the swan, etc. That seems fair. And he is.
6. Tomatoes humor, a local art of true stars. :)
7. Grenier is very baby Ashton Kutcher in his Hollywood star template, pounding the pavements producing and directing reality TV series – for little thanks – except the hope of landing it bigger on film.

CELEBRITIES BEING BAD NEWS – IT MUST BE THE WEEKEND – 9.18.10
Despite Lindsay Lohan serving time in jail, being in a rehab program and on probation, Lindsay failed her drug test, testing positive for cocaine. That report according to TMZ, Us Weekly and Lohans twitter.
That girl who turns up at Hollywood clubs, jumps on stripper poles to amuse wasted club kids while whispering on a microphone “hey b*tches” continues her game of What’s in your purse? (oops, or man bag). The Las Vegas Review Journal reports Hilton intends to plead guilty to misdemeanor drug possession, obstructing an officer in a trade out of year of probation. She signals that police should check every celebrity’s purses/ man bags, (or their assistants, ie: boyfriends/ girfriends/ back up dancers/ security guards too) and not just hers, with this kind of publicity. Silly.

Shannen Doherty of the original 90210 hit tv series, continues her book publicity blitz with media quoting excerpts from Shannen’s new book: How to be a Badass: A hard-earned guide to living. Radar reports that Doherty gives advice on how to maintain one’s manners with stalkers (pay for their gas-lol!). She also talks candidly about her two brief tabloid marriages to Ashley Hamilton and Rick Solomon. radar sums her book up as:
“With her frank talk about reputations, even her own “questionable” one, Shannen accepts blame for her past mistakes, but offers modern day Miss Manners style advice so other’s don’t make her same ones. She doesn’t mention her 90210 castmates buddies at all and says that her book, is ‘not a memoir. It’s a guide.”
Best quote so far from her book is: “Becoming a Badass has given me the ability to break free of my insecurities. Becoming a Badass has given me the confidence to live my life in full authenticity.” Shannen has such the way with words. Sounds like a high school essay really written during after school detention–but for twenty and thirty somethings instead.
American girls are all out doing all the things Lady Gaga says she does, by these reports.
And bad boy this week is Katy Perry‘s fiance Russell Brand of the U.K, who The Times of India report: has been arrested on suspected battery charges after he allegedly attacked paparazzi at the Los Angeles International airport. The actor was arrested for a misdemeanour charge of simple battery and was later released from custody after posting $20,000 bail on Friday.” Rusell should redirect that airport angst, and take up tennis perhaps.
Anyway, when you read stories like this, clearly you learn that it is the ‘role’ of celebrities, to act bad sometimes, because after reading this–aren’t you just the best citizen in the world–and isn’t your life 100% trouble-free with all things tickety-boo and together, without a care in the world, this fine weekend? Exactly. From Hollywood, I hope you’re having a good one. :)

CNN’s report reads: Paris Hilton was released from a Las Vegas, Nevada, jail Saturday morning after being arrested late the night before on suspicion of cocaine possession, police said Saturday.
The hotel heiress was riding in a black Cadillac Escalade which was pulled over in front of the Wynn Hotel on the Vegas strip at about 11:30 p.m. after police detected the smell of marijuana coming from the SUV, Lt. Wayne Holman told CNN.
The driver, whom police identified as Cy Waits, was arrested for driving under the influence, he said. Waits is a Las Vegas nightclub mogul and the rumored boyfriend of Hilton.
Hilton was taken to the Clark County jail. She was released after authorities determined she was not a flight risk, Holman said.
“This matter will be dealt with in the courts, not in the media, and I encourage people not to rush to judgment until all of the facts have been dealt with in a court of law,” Hilton’s attorney, David Chesnoff, said in a statement.
Last month, Hilton was briefly detained in South Africa for allegedly smoking marijuana at the World Cup. Her publicist called the July 2 incident “a complete misunderstanding,” and the case was dropped.”

KATE GOSSELIN GETS HER OWN TV SHOW
Good news for Kate Gosselin. The mother of eight will debut her own solo reality TV show.
TLC‘s parent company, Discovery Networks revealed that Kate’s new show premise shows Jon Gosselin‘s ex-wife trying her hand at ”different jobs and tasks and showing how she performs in the different environments.”
For a feel of what the show could be like, watch Paris Hilton pumping gas on this episode of, I Get That A Lot.
Kate’s show could be quite funny. The Gosselin children will not feature in the series. Will you be watching?

PARIS HILTON SAYS SHE’S READY FOR MARRIAGE
The two things that threaten Paris Hilton‘s image the most is that she is a) too selfish to ever marry and b) she nightclubs too much and won’t grow up.
Paris addresses those rumors in life and style and uses her current boy toy, Doug Reinhardt, as her latest ‘prop’ for the show biz heiress to get herself out of this current perception of her image.
Says Paris: ”I wouldn’t rule out a wedding in 2010,” Hilton tells Life & Style. “With how amazing everything is going between us, I see a very bright and happy future… He’s taught me how real love can feel. Doug’s taught me how to grow up and become more domestic, as in not going out as much as I used to.”
RESPECT: NICOLE RICHIE AND PARIS HILTON UNITE TO MOURN CASEY JOHNSON’S PASSING
Respect and consideration of others is a healer. Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton buried the hatchet of their supposed feud, to unite and grieve as supportive friends of the Johnson family in the tragic passing of Casey Johnson.
These girls show their class, compassion and manners when the chips are down for other families hit by tragedy. A nice effort.
The Johnson families must be so comforted that both Nicole and Paris numbered Casey in their friends. Richie and Hilton are pretty real in this moment. Good one girls. Casey’s dignity is slightly restored as Nicole and Paris love her family in their time of grief. This is the real Hollywood today in California.

Paris Hilton is synonymous with fame for fame’s sake. Born a hotel heiress, Paris parlayed her family’s allusion of wealth and used the Hilton name to actually become the heiress of her own fortune. In truth, she is a self-made heiress. No one can dispute that.
Paris Hilton is famous just for being famous. Her talents include talk show appearances, constantly bleaching her hair blonde, receiving numerous spray tans, creating a royal Hilton mythology with couture clothing and chandelier styled interior homes she’s bought, lived in and sold for a profit. My country of origin, New Zealand has managed to p*ss Paris Hilton off because she doesn’t get the Kiwi’s sense of humor.
Earth Times reports that Media 5, a Wellington-based advertising company, could be sued as “Paris Hilton’s Los Angeles-based manager has threatened legal action against a New Zealand publicity company that is wooing advertisers to its empty billboards with a photo of the hotel heiress and the word “Vacant” below her face, a newspaper reported Sunday.”
