LADY GAGA 21st MOST VOTED STAR 2011
[Artistic commentary - Portraiture of a War-Thirsty, Fame-Addicted Entitled-Prat parading as a popular Oil-Energy Vampire by Lady Gaga and Peter Huck's photography editor].
Her gift to the world was teaching children that some people wear a better poker face than others. She taught kids, never to believe what the guys in suits and ties say. Her pop cynicism came at the right time, before a global recession – where the wealthy were vampiring a generation of youth’s opportunities and futures at a disproportionate rate. In fact, according to Nadine Chalmers-Ross‘ news coverage recently, a new OECD report states that such economic manipulation has rendered “the highest inequality levels the world has seen for the past 30 years.”
In a way, Lady Gaga made a meal out of a creative team’s glitter guns work and lobbying for ‘gay equality’ when really she was the perfect distraction for gross inequality occurring all around her fan’s eyes. No one was paying attention. They were just watching gaga’s next crazy red carpet freak show outfit.
I used to be a really big fan of Lady Gaga. Indeed, I’ve been very generous to her marketing team in the past. As a fan of her music, I did their job, for free. Many people I knew in the USA were too. They probably still are. In fact, in the second year of blogging, Stefani Germanotta single-handedly grew Horiwood.Com by 20%. Her many photo opportunities, her outrageous comments and of course, her music produced more images and media soundbites than most other artists could compete for.
I even saw her perform live in concert in Los Angeles before she became huge. She was very humble and likable. Then big corporate money kicked in. She was seen brandishing two machine guns on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine (supporting the US, UK being the biggest weapons manufacturers in the world, with Saudis being the biggest buyers of weapons of destruction mass sales) and I instantly started to cool towards Gaga’s imaging. What about the world’s children? Was the niggly feeling I was left with in the aftermath of such media sensationalist moments. Her appearances at Apple’s HQ perhaps showed she was now a corporate puppet, who’d sold out – quite possibly even being paid by BigOil & BigPharma. The latter, as a Kiwi, I should of supporter. Our dairy farmers have advanced techonology to put milk powder (mastered technology) into pharmaceutical drugs product so pills can easily be ingested. Gaga’s drug fueled messages, got Kiwi farmers paid (eventually) in the pills chain – yet even then, I stopped being a big fan of Gagas.
Her latest round of press interviews show an almost coked-out Gaga whose quite insecure. The Brit’s have taken great pleasure in messing with Gaga’s meglomaniacal insecurities of late on BBC talk shows. Messing with her plastic meat dress, almost made Gaga have a meltdown on the Jonathan Ross show recently. Not kind, but nonetheless this turning away from Gaga slightly is on display on UK TV as seen in NZ.
Personally, I got to a point where I decided that she’s just a big oil vampire. Harsh, I know. At least she’s honest about that as these two portraits of an artist depict. She’s crying the earth’s black blood like a fossil fuels addict. Because I decided that when I saw this image (art if open to an audiences own interpretation after all), I totally discriminated against her. Or, I just chose to ignore her and help promote other artists, instead. She was too dominant, for what she did and who ‘won.’ So, I didn’t do much Lady Gaga news at all in the last 12 months. Put simply, I was completely Gaga-ed out. I’d od-ed on gaga and it was time to appreciate other artists more. (too much of a good thing!) Not her fault, but that was my conclusion I reached.
My niece on the other hand, really loves her ‘who gives a flying rip’ rock star attitude. At her confession – instantly, I was glad that the baton had moved on and she’s now our family’s Gaga fan. Phewsh!
It also appears that as an audience, you also still dig her. Despite the lack of support form me, Gaga is still the artist who grows the internet. Her back catalogue of ‘outrageous headlines’ on Horiwood.Com still got your vote. Stefani Germanotta clocks in as your 21st most voted star of 2011.
Good on ‘gaga.’ Despite not being a big fan of Gaga’s anymore, just a mildly interested one, I still have to thank her for growing this blog. (more…)

PORTRAIT OF AN OIL ADDICT, REMEMBERING LADY GAGA’S BAD ROMANCE PORTRAIT
What lengths would an ‘artist’ go to, in order to depict their nation’s obession (or addiction) to the world’s oil resources?
There is no fame, without oil acquisition, in todays world. This is a hallmark of modern day celebrity. The most ‘powerful’ names in the world, are all a part of the oil wrangling game, in one way or another. Oil wrangling drives global politics like few other games can.
Before she was ranked Forbes no.1 celebrity, sometimes original songwriter, Lady Gaga shared that portrait.
Here, she is crying black blood in publicity material leading into her Bad Romance single marketing many months ago. The fake blood depiction could be oil. An honest portrait of being an American today. China and India too, love oil as much as Gaga does.
Whoever covers themselves in oil, or tries to become oil or embody it, is seeking fame, perhaps more so than other people. Stefani Germanotta gave us that message in this one pic.
LADY GAGA TURNED 25 YESTERDAY
Stefani Germanotta aka Lady Gaga turned 25 yesterday. I forgot to do a post on that. Happy B’Day Lady Gaga.
The pop star celebrated her birthday by releasing the country version of her song, Born This Way. :)

ASIAN MODEL IN A BONE CORSET – FASHION STYLISTS PIPE UP WITH COMMENTARY
In the New York Times Arts section today, here’s what you see. Cheeky – all at the expense of the model’s breath intake ability being a bit impaired in this bone lined corset.
Oh, this is my Lady Gaga’s fan post today, as Thierry Mugler sends a message to Stefani Germanotta of America’s fanbase, to Gaga’s stylist Nicola Formichetti in this image.
People need to share more. It’s about resources distribution, taking one’s budget waist line in, to perhaps make resources go around more fairly. Star anythings, can be a bit hoggish. It’s about the collective is Mugler’s statement perhaps.

ONE BLOGGER ON LADY GAGA’S BORN THIS WAY MUSIC VIDEO SPECTACLE
People who grow up in New York are a little bit more theatrical in their outlook on life, than growing up in other parts of the States. Lady Gaga’s whackness (her OTT snot snotty otter theatricality) seems to exemplify NYC’s love of theater to a T, yet it doesn’t always translate to people who just go WTF!
Her definition of the term G.O.A.T is a trip. Here’s a link to one blogger’s views, Myrddin Gwynedd, on Gaga’s art and self expression - Blogger Bites Back: Lady Gaga: ‘Born This Way’ video premieres VIDEO
Government owned alien territory (G.O.A.T). A bit cryptic criggereze perhaps with her acronyms constructions and lingotta bandying about as alien wisdom with mace on it now, but perhaps it’s a concept we could get used to. Like on acid or magic mushrooms or just… never.
Does anyone know the movie release date for Men In Black III with Will Smith & Tommy Lee Jones, all this alien “moon men” stuff, is sounding a wee bit MIB marketing via NASA, Gaga and well… Hollywood too as the latest spun distraction.
My money’s on NASA for the best Alien show. Why not?! For a change.
Many people (online) discussing aliens (a top trending topic yesterday in the USA for all online users via Google), keep returning to one key premise, “why have aliens never said hello” to earthlings and introduced themselves AS ALIENS on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Reality TV Shows (where else) etc etc etc – if we’re that fanatastic as humans?
That also provides food for thought. If an alien was as intelligent as people posit, wouldn’t such a being, just look at the way us human’s treat the earth, or, each other in many nations, and say hmmmmmm, no thanks, we don’t want them doing this to our planet or our alien lifestyle, either?’ So…. my money is also on green energies development over alien introductions as being a little bit more pertinent to even sustain a quest in knowing more about alien life forms.
I am all for paranormal activity though. In the main paranormal activity includes a lot of things (it can include alien themes as well) but its main discourse involves the spirit realm where there is spiritual wrestling over territories (spiritually that can translate into physical territorial rule also), that can be scientific or in a realm science doesn’t always understand, or the next big theme of a Hollywod film franchise can grasp easily as well.
Yet, alien movies do well in cinematic history. We sense a director as auteur more so than their entire cast, with a vision that’s created. Star Trek or Star Wars for example are two good ones.
Does anyone also know when Stephanie Meyer (well know Twilight Saga book series) author, will be adapating her alien series of new books to the screen, in the hopes of another Twilight box office success? She’s also doing aliens, via the USA with back to back book (and/or film) ideas, about to follow each other for at least 2-3 years.
In reality, ‘aliens’ needing our attention, not distraction, are located for REAL in Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Bahrain, Yemen, some prisons of China, Rwanda, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran and many other nations on this earth, including the USA, before I get caught up in getting too overexcited about wrongly turned, priorities of excitement. That’s my view of alien life forms today.
I believe in science and its development for us to learn from. In the face of science, we realize how wonderful the world and universe really is, we also see a greater destiny, far beyond human hands best efforts. All power to NASA on that. It will be interesting what WikiNASAleaks happen over the next week or so, in comparing these to narratives also occurring in politics, the economy and worldwide current events.
Head on over to Myrdden Gwynedd’s link (above) to see Gaga do her costume props vision of aliens in action. I’ll opt to go with this 7 minute live piano performance of Stefani Germanotta instead when soulful performance was conveyed more in her performances… than something else. She’s amazing in this performance. What a gift.
Above pic – Diprotodon Tracks as photographed by Amy Toensing, This Month in Photo of the Day: National Geographic Magazine Features. “On a drying lake bed in Victoria, a farmer in 2007 alerted scientists to a major find: well-preserved tracks of a Diprotodon. The slow-moving behemoth had been crossing a volcanic plain 100,000 years ago, when megafauna still walked tall.”–Science is a wonderful world.

CRAZY OOC AMERICAN KIDS UPDATES, KE$HA, CHARLIE SHEEN AND LADY GAGA
Hmmmm, while many parts of the Middle East and Africa (Tunisia especially today) are in TURMOIL, I repeat TURMOIL, here’s the latest from the most sensitive of US celebrities on what The American Dream looks like today in light of Middle East revolution.
1. For the ‘Mancession Entertainment Channel,’ Charlie Sheen‘s latest tweet, where he is parodying Hugh Hefner‘s reality TV series with his knock out live-in girlfriends competition. Apparently he lost a girlfriend, and then wait, she moved back in. That’s the latest on Sheen news. But before we shoot Charlie in the foot for being well ‘different’, he does make some very good points about what people think are good entertainment ideas and who make millions off similar ideas for the TV, by parodying all of the pet topics running round and round on repeat on US Networks on reality TV shows, and also many nations in the world.
If one man, can take the steam out of all of them, by making us laugh in a single tweet, perhaps Sheen indicates stronger reality show ideas need to happen. I see that in his message, living in Hollywood. An entertainment churning production town. These ideas are stale now. However, mimicking anyone is always a form of a compliment in a sick way so who knows exactly what Charlie is doing! But his show continues. He definitely has his ‘silver spoon fed’ freak going on.
2. Pop star Ke$ha has combined forces with LifeStyles condom company to put her mug on 10,000 condoms. You know ‘sex, dr.ugg boots, and rock n’ roll’ is what she’s supposed to be selling in her role as a hard core rocker of the USA. Her take on sexy is BE SAFE. To prove it, her mug is biting on a beer bottle cap. Drink safe, perhaps being the second message of this image. “Bite me” is a little done, as a vampire theme (that belongs to The Twilight Saga & True Blood kids well and truly this decade) so let’s go with the first two definitions. Every pop star, is suppose to flog an American liquor too. Ke$ha (apparently) does Jack Daniels (for Southern folks shout outs in that Britney Spears way) and she’s a beer promoter too now. She’s doing A LOT!
3. Lady Gaga works the Cruella Devil fringe and ponytails in two-tone b&w for more and more and more, wigs and hair gimmicks to get her press this week. Gosh, are there any ponies with tails left on American prairies because I’m sure Lady Gaga needs all of their tails on her head. Jk. Let’s not talk Thai peoples hair then, being shorn and put on American girls suedes either, because that would just turn Thailand into … well a hair farm, for America’s sense of ‘pretty’… so let’s stick with the ponies on the Western planes, sans tails that are much more humane to support in regards to what drives Gaga’s shoz biz game and fandom.
Gaga has entered the double O hoop earrings game very late in the piece of her celebrity, but she’s in that ring now. She’s wearing the hoops too. Good on her!
Commentary aside, when you see three images like these in a row… you know in the USA… it’s the weekend. No one gets in the way of an American and their weekend! That’s for sure. One of the many joys of living in America. The weekends are pretty up there! Fun times.
To see what people in the Middle East are going through, that’s coming up on Horiwood.Com real soon. God bless America. Wild, zany, different, a little crazy, but good people. :)
All images via TMZ/ Wenn/ Twitter via Mickey K of NYC. Thanks for the snap shot of American life this Saturday. Wild as ever.
Perhaps these 3 crazy kids could listen to this Memo from Jessie J and B.o.B today, whose song Price Tag -offers a different outlook on life, perhaps as a balancing perspective. Here’s their lyrics:
Okay, Coconut man, Moon Heads and Pea
You ready
Seems like everybody’s got a price,
I wonder how they sleep at night.
When the sale comes first,
And the truth comes second,
Just stop, for a minute and
Smile
Why is everybody so serious
Acting so damn mysterious
Got your shades on your eyes
And your heels so high
That you can’t even have a good time
Everybody look to their left (yeah)
Everybody look to their right (ha)
Can you feel that (yeah)
We’re paying with love tonight
It’s not about the money, money, money
We don’t need your money, money, money
We just wanna make the world dance,
Forget about the Price Tag
Ain’t about the (uh) Cha-Ching Cha-Ching.
Aint about the (yeah) Ba-Bling Ba-Bling
Wanna make the world dance,
Forget about the Price Tag.
Okay!
We need to take it back in time,
When music made us all unite
And it wasn’t low blows and video hoes,
Am I the only one getting tired
Why is everybody so obsessed
Money can’t buy us happiness
Can we all slow down and enjoy right now
Guarantee we’ll be feeling Alright.
Everybody look to their left (yeah)
Everybody look to their right (ha)
Can you feel that (yeah)
We’re paying with love tonight
It’s not about the money, money, money
We don’t need your money, money, money
We just wanna make the world dance,
Forget about the Price Tag
Ain’t about the (uh) Cha-Ching Cha-Ching.
Aint about the (yeah) Ba-Bling Ba-Bling
Wanna make the world dance,
Forget about the Price Tag.
[B.o.B]
Yeah yeah
Well, keep the price tag
And take the cash back
Just give me six strings and a half stACK.
And you can keep the cars
Leave me the garage
And all I..
Yes all I need are keys and guitars
And its with in 30 seconds I’m leaving to Mars
Yeah we leaping across these undefeatable odds
Its like this man, you can’t put a price on the life
We do this for the love so we fight and sacrifice everynight
So we aint gon stumble and fall never
Waiting to see this in the sign of defeat uh uh
So we gon keep everyone moving their feet
So bring back the beat and then everyone sing
It’s not about the money, money, money
We don’t need your money, money, money
We just wanna make the world dance,
Forget about the Price Tag
Ain’t about the (uh) Cha-Ching Cha-Ching.
Aint about the (yeah) Ba-Bling Ba-Bling
Wanna make the world dance,
Forget about the Price Tag.
It’s not about the money, money, money
We don’t need your money, money, money
We just wanna make the world dance,
Forget about the Price Tag
Ain’t about the (uh) Cha-Ching Cha-Ching.
Aint about the (yeah) Ba-Bling Ba-Bling
Wanna make the world dance,
Forget about the Price Tag.
[Jessie J -Outro]
Yeah, yeah
Oo-oooh
Forget about the price tag.

AMERICAN BLONDE POP DIVAS – KE$HA ON BRITNEY SPEARS ON LADY GAGA ON MADONNA
Sometimes when you look at US pop music, it’s all about layering. Mesh ups are the big rage in America for fans of current pop stars. American music market tribes are extremely fierce about their pop divas. They’re US princesses of a modern age of socially shared media. They get you noticed on Facebook, Twitter, etc if you drop their names, their music, their scandals or their antics.
In the spirit of that artistic mesh-up trend online. Here’s a post featuring Britney Spears, Lady Gaga (imitating Madonna on her newest album) and Ke$ha‘s new music. Here in the US, we like them all. Yet, there’s something to be sad abut staying power. All artists borrow off each other in the history of art, staying power sets artists apart. Here’s the lyrics mesh up. I can’t say, I can make sense of much of these lyrics. But nonetheless regardless of not knowing what a CRIGGER is… this is new music.
Here’s a tri-segue blog-blend of lyrics of Government Hooker/ Till The World Ends & Blow. Above clip is of Zenga Zenga‘s YouTube hit video depicting a Colonel Kadafi rapping as mixed by Noy Alooshe.
The American pop divas mentioned will have their music mixed into this clip too on the dance floor of Young Hollywood’s hottest clubs. As a video, none of them can out do this art today. Worth sharing. Enjoy!
GAGA lyrics: We had our night/ Our real nature/ No more time to decide/ Let it climb, let it ignite.
BRITNEY SPEARS: I’ve spent the last 6 days, using my bed as body cast/ Is your mind made up?/ I’m sure it is but I thought I’d ask/ All I want is just a little bit of time from you./ All I want is just for you to try to make it work too.
KE$HA lyrics: (Chuckle)/ Dance/ Back door cracked/ We don’t need a key/ We get in for free/ No VIP sleaze/ Drink that kool-aid/ Follow my lead/ Now you’re one of us/ You’re coming with me.
NEW GAGA, WANAKA STUDENTS DO GOOD, KEVIN MEALAMU – AND SOCIAL MEDIA NEWS SHARES – 3.3.11
COOL KIDS OF THE WORLD AWARDS MUST GO TO Wanaka’s Mt Aspiring College today. Via Otago Daily Times we read how “Pupils formed a heart on the school field yesterday during a fundraiser for victims of the Christchurch earthquake.
“The pupils wore the Canterbury colours of red and black, raising $3900 during the mufti day, organised by the school’s student council. A year 13 Enterprise group, EFF-X, is also planning to produce “I love Christchurch” T-shirts in a further fundraising effort. Among the many Wanaka businesses and residents who also took part in yesterday’s fundraising campaign were Print It, which developed “We Care” posters in red and black for shop windows, and Wanaka Paper Plus, which decorated its premises in red and black and also collected donations.”
As I blog, Donny, a muzo, songwriter, 24, who wears the coolest hats ever, very French, tells me he’s tired of the American music scene. “It’s all about pop stars taking trending words on google and setting them to tunes. Then they get popular. When a politician needs them, they perform for them. Music is so jacked right now. It’s not authentic. The people getting rewarded are carrying messages for the powers that be in music. That’s not American music.” Oops! Donny has a lot on his mind today. But he does make a point. Authentic art, should come from artists hearts. Right?! Thanks Donny.

Mount Aspiring school students display of Heart Art today, as a collective for Christchurch City quake victims is a good reminder of how Kiwi’s are rugby-minded people. Go Wanaka! BORN TO OVERDO IT ON SCOWLY MARKETING? LADY GAGA IN WEST HOLLYWOOD
Memo to Lady Gaga‘s marketing team. If you’re going to double up on Stefani Germanotta ‘in your face’ marketing at neighborhood level in West Hollywood, why not put up one smiley face poster of your artist on neighborhood walls and one goth pic of the same artist?
Just for a change… mix it up!
It’s not like nobody has never heard of her this year. We got kick ass Gaga last year. This year, it’s about being happy. If you’re happy, generally you’ll notify your face. I guess she’s in her ‘Sasha Fierce’ stage then. :)

LADY GAGA BRINGS UP HER DEAD AUNTY AGAIN AND TERI MAREE KOPA IS SPOTLIGHT WORTHY AT 10 – 2.21.11
“I really believe I have two hearts… I think I actually carry two souls in my body, and that I’m living out the rest of her life [Stefani's Aunt who died of Lupus at 19] and her goodness — she died a virgin, she died never having experienced all these things that we all get to love and experience in our lives. I think that I work in her image. I work in this life as part pop singer and part humanitarian, and to do great things for people because she was a good person and I don’t think she had enough time to do enough good.”–Stefani Germanotta realizes mortality, in her Aunt’s memory, as a motivator to do good. That part is very sweet.
From a Maori cultural perspective, I am totally down with the fact that spiritual legacies can be taken on by a younger generation and put to use after someone passes on. Spiritual gifts are that. After people die they remain for others to further. So, I’m cool with the ‘weird aspects’ of this press from Gaga, without blinking an eyelid in doubt. Good for her! Maori people do that all the time, they just don’t go on and on about it, it’s just your work to do, like a private project of sorts. I get a bit miffed when I see her making it yet another one of her ‘personas’ fans are supposed to worship. It takes away from the good she does although her intentions are initially very good.
However, the way she hogs the limelight, needs a word. That’s not always spiritual the way Germanotta won’t share, or finds it difficult to share, compared to more secure diva’s in the game. People outside of America, want to see a sharing American celebrity – post the W.Bush years (of the political system of that time) anyway. It is perhaps a more noble look for America in regaining trust in the world by being strong but more sharing in outlook and worldview.
For example, first up – to offer some commentary on this, people with heart’s don’t rip off Madonna‘s music catalogue and present this as ‘new music’ (the Born This Way fiasco that’s fueled way too much commentary in between Mid East uprisings at the same time).
Secondly, if you want to be on Glee and be a karaoke-singer in front of cameras as a part of a TV drama we all like, just do a duet of a Madonna hit with Lea Michele. Don’t say you’re being ‘revolutionary’ with ‘new’ music – when you’re not. Next up, dropping the “twins” word without actually having any, does not put you in the league of Angelina Jolie who actually birthed twins. You can’t cheat like that. Do the work!
Just kidding. In celebrity land, it’s often about cheating the camera angles. Gaga is a marketing machine – a key part of pop music’s domination.
What do you think of Germaotta’s latest marketing ploys? I totally was into her last year. It was a joy to see her perform in concert in 2009. She wowed all at the concert and she was well rewarded for her authentic songwriting back then, making $70 million in a year.
This year, although 20% are Gaga fans on this blog, and you can stone me for suggesting this, I feel she needs to blend in more with the diverse pack of talented singers (her peers), artists, groups, bands, divas, opera singers, amazing folk singers out there –as there’s plenty of new talent coming through for global audiences to enjoy with less amounts of ego. The copious amounts of costume changes, a blogger has lost love to cover this year. She’s already broken through. Eggshell entrances at awards shows aside, she’s not being born this year. That was 2009. I was there watching her in concert. This year’s she’s not a baby needing as much hog love.
Here’s a ten year old, who was born this way to sing and entertain without the ego Lady Gaga seems to expect this year from her fans. In light of peoples issues around the globe, hers just aren’t as “may-jah” this year. We just live in times where in Facebook culture and twitter et al, it’s kinda about the collective all getting a turn to be seen and heard. The culture’s changed this year. These are just my thoughts anyway. From someone whose seen her in concert. Her ballads on keyboards, are Gaga at her best.
Anyway, the worthy 10 year-old (one of many young singers in the world’s) name is Teri Maree Kopa. She’s featured below singing Wilson Pickett‘s classic Motown song. Press play for a treat.

BORN TO STEAL THIS WAY by LADY GAGA IS iTUNES FASTEST SELLING TRACK
True fact – The fastest selling single at the i-Tunes online store ever is Lady Gaga‘s Born to Steal This Way song.
Stealing off Madonna‘s music catalogue has moved over 1 million digital downloads in just 5 days from America’s latest creation of pop music.
“It pays to…. ” is Stefani Germaotta‘s message for American ‘kids’ to emulate. I don’t agree. On a creative level, that’s called lazy. It’s called extremely entitled. All the attributes that get American in debt. And keep America enslaved.
But she’s fooled most people. Stealing is always a little bit trashy, I’ve found. Recycling? … now that’s a better word. Creative borrowing, is kinder too. That’s what I do on a blog most days, so I can’t judge Gaga too harshly – it’s just that, I don’t expect the millions she does, with that behavior. Lol!

Woot!
Now beneath the above layer and context of Egypt’s very important World News – here’s what happened via the Hollywood hood as well today. As follows:
It’s official. I’m old enough to know. I didn’t like Born This Way by Lady Gaga at first listen. As 20% of Horiwood.Com’s fan base are avid Gaga fans and always have been, I’m sorry. It’s just how I feel about hearing Madonna‘s Express Yourself song sound worse than it originally did, but with a new name. Too honest? Oh well!

LADY GAGA’S BORN THIS WAY APPEARS TO HAVE RIPPED OFF MADONNA’S EXPRESS YOURSELF HIT ANTHEM
After all that build up to Lady Gaga‘s Born This Way, I am left thinking two things:
1. Gaga’s Egyptian eye styling is very stage-theater.
2. The actual song, Born This Way sounds like she’s sampled Madonna‘s Express Yourself song in its entirety and has chopped it up thinking Madonna’s archives were a) her own and b) an eight ball to chop up and massacre while on a cocaine binge.
The song should go straight into the [digital] shredder and she should be sat down and told to knock off the partying, get rid of all the ego-stroking ‘Little monsters’ around her and told to try harder.
When you’re earning $70 million a year in music and some of the biggest names in music want to work with you too… No. This is not good enough. She makes Pink (Alecia Moore‘s anthems) look extremely undervalued, with this track!
Who is producing this girl? Not everything she does is great, or ‘original.’ This is one example of that.
Constructive criticism: Bad Romance has more originality to it, tune wise. I would much rather listen to Rihanna if you’re talking ‘gay anthem hit makers’ as Gaga’s hype machine has been claiming this track would be. Rihanna, for example, doesn’t claim to be the diva of gay communities, instead she just delivers hits that all people like.
In addition, lesbian singers deserve a buck about now with their music, if Gaga is going to claim the ‘gay’ card as her fame ticket. This, her latest effort, is not good enough in my humble musical opinion. This track also confirms the view that Germanotta is perhaps at her strongest when she’s on piano singing ballads. When she sung a line of this song at MTV Music Awards, everyone responded. It was a capella, delivered emotively and slowly. This version on the track, loses all of its soulfulness of the first taste of the song, she gave her fans.
I saw Lady Gaga live in concert, when she was humble. She was flawed, inexperienced and still finding her way, although her ambition said that she could still carry a full length show. Somehow, she still did provide a good show. Her humility made up for her jolted performances.
Everyone loved her and her humility wowed us. I even donated an hour of my time writing a concert review after the concert to aid her musical efforts and her journey as a star. That humility or a feeling of ‘Gaga The Artist’ all seems to have disappeared with this Manhattan kid. What happened? The machine she put herself through, doesn’t seem to be bringing out the best of her talent, on this track.
UPDATE – It’s been 4 hours since I first listened to the track. Not once, have I wanted to listen to it a second time. I am sure it will be flogged to death on the radio anyway, so we’ll all get to hear this mediocre effort enough times, like all of Gaga’s songs to date. She hasn’t evolved as an artist on this track. Yes. I’m disappointed. She’s capable of more, musically.
Conclusion – My money’s on Pink’s F*cken Perfect song and her Raise Your Glass pop anthem as well for big American pop anthems traditions created and presented with risk, gusto, authentic creativity of fearless songwriters – post Bad Romance if Gaga’s going to take this song to market and flog it. Both songs are written and delivered by Pink way better than this from Gaga if we’re giving away rock-pop songwriting crowns today in America to the select few pop princesses allowed through the lucrative hoops as messengers of America’s King (political) system.
UPDATE II – Most of the twitter community think - ‘Born this Way,’ it sounds remarkably similar to Madonna’s classic 1989 hit ‘Express Yourself.’ Forbes Magazine is also leaning towards ‘yes she did copy Madonna’ too. Well, in fairness to Gaga, mimicry is the highest form of flattery really. It’s just that Gaga is so talented musically, she didn’t have to.
Alright -moving on with the show then, where attention is more needed than Gaga’s meat purse or her deluded self… To make a difference to people who shouldn’t be born this way (below), but are because they don’t even have clean water and there’s too much greed in the world and ego too by the sounds of things …. Click on this pic. BTW – That’s 1 in 6 of US in the world.
[Thanks Michael]

KIM KARDASHIAN LOVES GIVING – CELEBRITY POLITICO SOUP FROM HOLLYWOOD – 1.27.11
“We must out-compete and out-build the world”–President Barack Obama to the American people, SoU address, 2011.
You can’t really have favorites in America. Everyone expressing ‘art’ and creating ‘pop culture’ to help Corporate America (Apple, Google and Facebook) out to ‘out-compete the world,’ via I.T and mobile telephony culture, has their own unique expressions of American-ness as they generate media-sharing connection points.
Four favorite ladies of celebrity news currently are always: Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Stefani Germanotta (or Lady Gaga) and Alecia Keys – pictured. Here’s a quick snap-shot of news (entertainment and celebrity news with a dash of politics) being created and sent out via America today.
The generous soul shall themselves be watered is an old proverb that’s so true. With that thought in mind, not only has she just announced that her breasts are 100% real but Kim Kardashian shocks Hollywood by announcing that she gives 10% or what she earns to charity. In particular, The Dream Foundation. Nice one! Kim also gives to her mom’s church out in Calabasas. That was new news.

Political wrestling news: Senate Ends Practice Of Secret Holds
Lady Gaga plays devil’s advocate for the ‘security industry’s’ marketing drive worldwide, her new song lyrics are: “Give yourself prudence and love your friends, subway kid rejoice your truth. In the religion of the insecure I must: be myself, respect my youth.” I would have to say that ‘prudence’ and Stefani Germanotta‘s presentation have never met each other once in her role for the US as Lady Gaga, so who is girl trippin out on here, except the naive? Lol! Her schizophrenia as a rather creative artist, makes her loved worldwide as a distraction from what’s real. Who does Germanotta date, exactly? Case in point. One more time… who does Stefani Germanotta personally date exactly? One more time… Yep! We still love her crazy in the USA! To keep Germotta’s politics fair beyond a dollar sign… Here’s some some lyrics too: “Born This Way: Gaga is the sound a newborn makes in Uganda when…” Sometimes, you have to ask, why don’t gay girl artists make bank like Germanotta, and isn’t she ready to hand over the gay ticket to introduce other artists who need to be fed too? With $70 million in the bank, she should be about now.

WHAT LADY GAGA WANTS TO DO TO YOUR CHURCHES – KINDA OUT THERE
Lady Gaga gets paid $67 million a year to generate this kind of culture in the world depicted by this model, then being screen-printed onto black cotton.
Is that a) a good thing, b) a bad thing, or, c) whatever – she’s just making bank in a capitalist nation.
As 2 in every 10 of you who read Horiwood are big (and early days even) Lady Gaga fans – before she even became mainstream known – what do you think about this Gaga-esque tee shirt – spotted on Melrose today in the Street Chic fashion District of L.A?
Is Lady Gaga a brat demonstrating the ‘American art form of freedom of expression’ (that can be fun) who shakes things up for the good? Or just a bug eyed peroxided ho – playing piano – selling crap merch, while saying she’s authentic?
I have to say that if you’ve ever seen the crappy merchandize Stefani Germanotta hawks at her concerts to fans, this tee shirt is much better quality than what she expects fans to buy from her after buying concert tickets. You wouldn’t even wipe your *ss with the tee shirts – Gaga has expected her fans to buy. They’re made somewhere else and then have her mug screen printed on them very badly. They’re just not made very well.
So perhaps Gaga should talk to this store on Melrose who at least have good tee shirt making manufacturing values.
And really this post is all about the cute hat. A touch of old Hollywood glamour.
From an artistic stand point, if I was to put my artsy hat on – I would say, I’d rather have this tee shirt than have cover up in Churches of some ‘men’ pretending to be priests, who are not priestly at all, molesting kids. Even up the *ss. I hope that wasn’t too frank. But it’s true. This tee shirt as ‘art’ raises those questions between right and wrong. As long as there are a minority of molesters in churches – still needing to be flushed out – a tee shirt like this has its place in the world with a hard hitting message.
Again though, this post is all about the cute hat.
If you like this tee shirt, than visit Melrose in California. This is one of the tame ones you’ll see in terms of fashion statements being made by L.A to the world on Melrose. In terms of sales, this tee shirt is so much like a tamed unicorn, that it hasn’t sold all week. Lol! Still selling hot are the military themed tee shirts. I kid you not.

#TEBOW – LADY GAGA TWEETS
According to Amy Sciaretto of PopCrush.Com: “The singer [Lady Gaga], a known Giants fan, being from New York and having attended the team’s Monday night contest during the regular season and nabbing press for spilling champagne while in a VIP box at the stadium, tweeted: “Giants fan but wow. Tebow. Thats what the f— a champion looks like.”
Very rock star tweeting. Maybe Gaga got Tebow confused with the makers of her boxed comped champagne. ;)
