LONDON’S RESIDENTS WANT TO SEE CREATIVE ENTREPRENEURIAL FAMILIES SHINE MORE – KOURTNEY, KIM, KHLOE KARDASHIAN DO LONDON
USA’s leading Armenian-American celebrities brought some cheer to the UK.
Thousands turned out to see three of the Kardashian sisters launch a brand new clothing line in London for Dorothy Perkins fashion retail franchise that has an impressive global footprint with sales. Leopard prints for the UK done the American family way, is the family’s new gig for the Brit retail store (a store that does fancy footwork, coats for winter and a maternity line too).
Yet it was the sight of London’s crowds that was near Beatles status, almost that is perhaps the starring trend of this story. It is fair to say the queues were beyond just good retail shopping status too. They reveal a need that has developed in UK’s people.
What does this mean? It shows that the UK has a desire to see entrepreneurial family stars more in the UK.
This family don’t really sing (they are not pop stars). What they do is entrepreneurial marketing and lifestyle storylines of family choices via a reality TV show series they co-produce. Cross-cultural storylines is how they unabashedly roll. Hugely popular with that approach.
The trend is interesting to see emerging in the UK. Londoners are hungry to grow in business and entrepreneurial ways. That’s what these three photos show via Wenn.Com. Perhaps the UK needs to create new entrepreneurs from the throngs of UK dwelling people then. Get a ground up momentum going on to assuage the trend or reproduce the new millionaires of the UK template a bit better.
(I love the marketing of these girls of Calabasas, California. So clever. Very Charlies Angels – USA for UK- and also slightly Bond girls too, except that there’s just three of them in the role :).
The UK needs a new line up of entrepreneurs for Young Adults. Young millionaires emerging and breaking through in the UK is what should happen. That’s perhaps what these pictures reveal if looking at the trend here. It’s always refreshing how one culture can cross over and gift another culture some encouragement from life lessons as the Kardashian girls are doing for the kids of the UK in these photos.

KIM KARDASHIAN IN SYDNEY AUSTRALIA & KANYE WEST’S ALBUM “CRUEL SUMMER” IS REVIEWED TRACK-BY-TRACK BY BILLBOARD MAGAZINE
One thing I’ve enjoyed living in NZ this year has been the local hip hop music artists sounds. They are very distinctive to the South Pacific. They are also not as in-your-face as say, USA’s hip hop names lyrics are known for in the world.
When I worked at 9000 Sunset doing spin for top American brands as a publicist, Ice Cube‘s office was one of a few record labels based in the building during those years. It was the most fun office building I’ve ever worked in. Hip central of LA. It made me conscious of the fact that hip hop is always looking out to the world, to bring it all back in to one hip hop music track, that defines the USA in that one moment. It’s very much like fashion. Fast moving.
Billboard Magazine, has done a track-by-track review of Kanye West (aka Kim Kardashian‘s buddy) and his songwriting as a hip hop artist in the new album Cruel Summer. Go here to read if a U.S hip hop music genre fan. The reviews are controversial and mixed. Typical Kanye then. :)
I like music from Opera to rock. Hip hop is in my likes of music I listen to as well. We don’t take hip hop music seriously enough in New Zealand. It is the no.1 selling music on the planet. China and India love it too.

Angelina Jolie has a Cleopatra movie in the pipeline. Thus, Kim Kardashian has taken to covering off Dame Elizabeth Taylor‘s movie fashion style. The art of American celebrity being reinterpreted in Hollywood today. Elizabeth Taylor once played a famous version of the Egyptian leader for Hollywood years ago.
The Kardashians are always good for retail sales boosts in the U.S. Good on Kim.
Everytime I see Kim, I think of the very cool Armenian-American community of California. They are warm-hearted people like Maori and Polynesian communities are. Family oriented, most go to church too. They love dancing at clubs togehter, drinking almost Turkish strength coffee in elaborate and ornate demitasse cups. They like laughing lots, working in their own businesses together. They work and party together. Armenian-Americans are fiercely family oriented. Pride is in family. They like never being lied to. I like Armenian-Americans of California a lot. Being a merchant also runs in their veins strongly as a people. They are Good Peoples.
Their young people study financial management courses at night. Young adults are fiercely independant go-getters too in defining their own identity, returning it back within community though. When they marry and start families, their children go to school where they can learn the language of their culture, thus the new breed in Hollywood are bilingual American citizens. Young adults also have their own economy they grow.
The girls are raised to be extremely motherly. Almost overkill motherly-sweet and when it comes to biz, the women are incredible multi-taskers too. The boys are a bit gangsta tough and always funny. They all love Kiwi actor Temuera Morrison. Fancy that. Love them!

SHOW BIZ MARRIAGES AS SOCIAL CAPITAL TO GROW PERSONAL BRANDS & POPULARITY STAKES
Show Biz marriages is a theme of chatter on the Kiwi TV set today.
A show biz marriage is an arrangement, like a publicist organizes a plus1 for stars at red carpet events to grow an actor or star’s visibility, public profile and brand. (Kim Kardashian is an example, of being called upon for such PR stunts). As a Hollywood publicist, I even arranged one of these photo opportunity matches once. The press coverage result in US media? The star achieved ten times more than a solo actor would have for the event.
In some cases of a show biz marriage, the couple agree to have children together too. It is not a traditional merger of two people committed to each other based on love in the traditional sense of marriage. Therefore the true benefits of a love relationship, should never have the expectation to bear the fruit, of couples who do the ‘hard yards’ in a committed sense of the world marriage. For example, lust should never be mistaken for love. Show biz couples are like business partners, for their own means of gain. They are united in certain agreed bonds of freindship. Many of these show biz couples are charming individuals. They get noticed. They seem to like that, more than anything else.
Here’s one: A ‘show biz’ relationship in business circles, is when real producers rightly get the limelight for showing good business accumen. This is very different to grandstanding pretenders, who are just selling off other peoples hard work, setting themselves up as ‘saviors’ of business, when really they’re thieving underneath a tie and a over-prozaced flat poker face. Ties in business are almost a deterrant today, as people in ties have given the show biz world, a speight of bad press in the last four Wall Street years. Anyway ‘show biz’ pretenders, actually don’t show biz, they are covetous and talk it up like they show biz, when they don’t. They tend to vampire biz, all while wearing a tie.

KIM KARDASHIAN RESPONDS TO JON HAMM’S DISS
Mad Men‘s Jon Hamm did his best to cyphon some of Kim Kardashian‘s fan base onto the girls of his new movie, Friends with Kids. He called Kim “stupid.”
Kardashian responded via Twitter in reply saying:
“I just heard about the comment Jon Hamm made about me in an interview. I respect Jon and I am a firm believer that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that not everyone takes the same path in life. We’re all working hard and we all have to respect one another. Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, “stupid,” is in my opinion careless.”
Fair comment. Kim does oversee a fashion merchandizing empire online as well as appear in media. Jon just appears in media.
I think marrying someone and then divorcing them after 72 days was a bit stupid. However, dissing Kim to promote your movies, is a bit silly. Jon can learn to be a bit more chivalrous perhaps.
In Hollywood a diss is a compliment. So the Hamm Kardashian fan club is born. Fun.

Kim Kardashian is the 4th most voted star of 2011. Perhaps too much has been written of Kim already. However, if there’s one thing I respect about Kim Kardashian is the product she moves on her shoe dazzle website, with the help of her co-empire merch builder, Robert Shapiro, the Los Angeles power lawyer.
She may look ditzy in tabloid headlines some days, but there is no denying Kim is one savvy American kid. Her star X-Factor lies in the fact that Kim’s PR strategies exemplify the art of Armenian family teamwork. Far from perfect, yet this is her gift to her beloved America as a star and reality TV star artist.
She’s No. 4.
Congratulations.
The latest Kim Kardashian associated headline that was published in New Zealand is: Kim Kardashian’s ex booed on basketball court. Anyone within her zone is soon made a star of sorts by the tabloids.
