appreciation club: okay, 59 months in the US, 7 years involved in publicity, marketing, show biz. Two years of that pioneering new media, intensively doing a blog in the US (followed by another 22 months in NZ doing the same). how was it? Most of it was computer-intensive, laptop driven time spent typing tonnes of words, sharing thoughts, links etc. In a way, most of it was similar to any desk job involving long hours (where ten-twelve hour work days, was a lite working day – fourteen hours a day, common)… Perhaps for that reason, my tolerance of lazy thinkers isn’t the best. Love, joy, peace (patience’s fruit) needs a rev up in me. Patience is just not there, a side-effect of being a part of the experiment. In those long hours conditons being committed to the experiment, you do feel like you’re in a wheelchair, just the nature of that experience.

You also have your brain’s contents being cyphoned from you too (that’s also a strong reality).

parts of the experiment though in the usa, weren’t computer driven at all. yet as the u.s consists of the vast reality of 50 states and 309 million people (US Census 2010), via a computer is still the best way to be an American.    (more…)

There’s that notion of wearing ‘Indigenous peoples skin’… or a fear that China will wear the USA’s skin… in order to acquire resource etc. Or a commentary on the USA’s love-hate fascination with “what China’s doing next”. It can be said that the app is a commentary on it, to make the world get on, too. (more…)

Facebook is a social networking site that is now listed on Wall Street. A failure to do so, see’s Facebook in trouble. All I.T roads lead to Rome… that’s all you need to know in what is often pitched as a ‘competitive’ game. In part it is, yet many IT information sharing platforms exist to gather informatiion.

NEWS VIEWS OF PROBLEM SOLVING – WORLD NEWS 14.1.13

Antarctica Maunga

Problem solving is what journalists try and present as views in the news. News is a science. It steers economic flows some peoples way, more so over others. It should also be democratic, why news is important to watch in your own country. After that, your trading allies outside of your country.

The theory behind a news hour done right… is that real issues are presented and solutions are found to solve situations. Airing the story, is a part of that process of news. A story aired is an issue shared, thus an issue on its way to be solved as it is now in public consciousness. That is the theory behind the info-entertainment age of the news hour today. It’s exciting as news now can be commented about instantly. Thus the ball is moved forward within seconds of going to air by an active, involved public each with access to media platforms of their own, to share opinion on news.

Once a story is aired, many different peoples minds then add to the mix. The minds get thinking and the combined thought gleaned, act as a laser effect cutting through situations ahead. Truth has a life of its own. It doesn’t matter if people see a tweet, a blog post on Tumblr, or a Facebook upload  on “truth” or not.

Truth will activate anyone’s expression of it. Truth is a magnet to truth. A principle of good working in the world, greater than us all. Journalists try and live to tell the truth in just countries. No matter how hard that process is. That is why I like good journalists, personally. I have been an entertainment journalist before. You’ve got to be strong. It’s a media scrum out there if reporting in large cities of the world.   (more…)

CYBORG HEALTH DISTRACTIONS – QSM DISCOURSE & HIGH TECH GADGETS

what control freaks love is: cyborg health distractions. a range of new technology offers the experience to consumers of watching their health in every detail. GATHERING TEACHERS IP, CREATING BRAND AMBASSADORS – BILLIONAIRE MELINDA GATES AT THE COAL FACE OF CLASS WARS YEARS’ EDUCATORS

2012 Republican National Convention: Day 2

One of the most dangerous people to be today are billionaires. They are freaks. The wisest billionaires either keep the lowest profile they can. Or, they invent armour bravely and partly for their own interests in an era of class wars.

It is the age of the Pharaoahs, celebrities are often their mouth pieces and mediators with the people.

One person whose been quite creative at inventing armour to protect herself and further her products with a noble cause is Melinda Gates. Here’s what she says about raising up teacher ambassadors to share knowledge of best pedagogy (teaching practice) as well as become a movement using her computer IT products too and propagating their benefits to young consumers in class rooms.

Melinda rounded up a few hundred teachers in 32 different teaching districts of the US. She showed them a video. She also set them to work creating for her in a project where they could create high quality teacher development models and evaluation systems too as they talked and information shared together.  (more…)

SMART PHONE BANKING, M-PESA & SAFARICOM & TELCO-BANKS NEXT FRONTIER OF DEVELOPMENT

Smart Phones

telco‘s global footprint increasing via users is a hot topic online today. In the West smart phone companies + telco’s are hoping to get younger consumers on their grid.

That leads us to smart phone banking or banks via phone. Almost two years ago, when I returned from a rollercoaster, five years in the USA to New Zealand, a TV program on TV7 (a science platform at the time) featured telephone banking. The TV presenter was in Soweto, South Africa looking at the M-Pesa system. What was amazing was that everyone was trading via phone with M-Pesa as they shopped. Even the most traditionally dressed farmers of Africa, had a phone to trade with. It was a very advanced trading system in South Africa with the locals, beneath the surface of poverty. I loved the program.

In the West telco’s hope to do the same with phones. It’s the new frontier of technology and banking systems. So, let’s turn to Matt Stoller ‘s comments who observes two companies making inroads to do that. Stoller writes:

“I went to Kenya last summer, and saw how a semi-competent telecom and banking system could work. Kenya has the world’s most innovative mobile payments system, called M-Pesa. M-Pesa is a cell phone based cash remittance system based on text messages. Unlike Chase’s Quickpay system, M-Pesa just works, and works well. (more…)
