RONJA OF NIEDERSACHSEN GERMANY, LOVES CHEMISTRY, LOOKS LIKE ANNA PAQUIN
The delightful Ronja of Niedersachsen, Germany looks like a young Anna Paquin (True Blood, Straight A’s).
On school holidays in Auckland, New Zealand before beginning her University studies, Ronja plans to study chemistry, mathematics and music. She also loves children and feels it’s important that children be encouraged to learn the sciences.
What a total honey. Festive Niedersachesen is world famous for brilliant fireworks displays in the Herrenhausen gardens and the International Händel Festival!

REACHING THE 4.2 MILLION SUMMIT TOGETHER ON A BLOG – REMEMBERING SIR HUGH KAWHARU – 4.11.11
Today, on the signing of Ngati Whatua o Orakei’s historic settlement day with The Crown of New Zealand, we all reached the 4.2 million summit on Horiwood.Com. What began as an experiment as the first blog created by a Maori-Kiwi in Hollywood, is still going today.
There are many American people I would like to thank for getting this far. I think they know who they are. :)
I’d like to share this moment with one of my tribe’s great Chief’s memory. Sir Hugh Kawharu who was both a gentleman and a scholar. I used to have chats to him as a student. He always challenged me to spend time with my grandparents and the elders of our Iwi (tribe). He also made young people believe that a dream is possible. He said “reach for your dream.” Sir Hugh was a bit of a dude.
For reaching the 4.2 million summit together – thanks everyone! Let’s keep climbing. :)

“Please” and “thank you” are two words that all cool kids need to learn, and never forget, in order to grow up and be nice people, who influence others.
Natalie Olson is one such Kiwi girl, growing up with good manners, here in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Many months ago, I did some free publicity in Hollywood for Natalie’s dream of entering show biz. At the time Natalie wanted to star in Western movies styled stories for the screen. .

THE 3 MILLION BENCHMARK IS NEAR! SOUL TRAIN THANKS!
We’ve almost reached 3 million as the first entertainment blog in Hollywood history created by some crazy (for the most part) Maori-Kiwi, trail-blazed in the City of Angels. The blog was a cross-cultural experiment reflecting a Hollywood daily window of L.A living and news shares in The Entertainment Capitol of The World that I live smack in the middle of.
Thanks for sticking with the blog, and also at this time, thinking of special people in need as we read. We are because we give when it feels right to.
That’s our Liberty and Democracy in real effect. Thanks for always showing you have heart and soul on this blog over two years observing you. The many times you gave to people caught up in devastating world events, definitely has been the highlight of this experiment.
Peace! So far, America on this blog over 2 years… has felt like we’ve been on the Soul Train together for the most part. Thanks for being on board.
50 DAYS LEFT IN THE USA AS THE WORLD APPROACHES 7 BILLION PEOPLE- 12.20.11
There’s a saying I was raised with in New Zealand that goes “when your number’s up, your number’s up.”
Here in the USA, my number’s up. I have fifty days left on my visa.
It doesn’t make too much sense to renew my visa at this point. Days go by, they are all the same. Change occurs with what we create ourselves. I have had enough fun days to know for sure, that the USA is a nation who loves fun, more than any other cultural trait. That’s been a gift the US has shared with me. I’ll keep you posted each day with my remaining time here.
So far, America has been an experience. Living and thinking with US views and values, (in particular, uniquely surreal Hollywood views) for five years, is almost up. Even in the most painstaking and trying of times where one was forced to be creative or die, the time went by very fast. In these times, we got through it together, on this blog. Thanks for reading Horiwood.Com from Hollywood the last two years. It’s been quite a journey. Like a blur really. :)
In thinking about leaving the US, a nation I love and have loved, this picture above defines the face that looks like the typical person on the planet provided by The National Geographic. The face looks like some Americans I know.
This year, the world will hit a total population of 7 billion people this year. Exciting challenges ahead for global community. How are we, reflected in this face then? is the one question we must ask ourselves ahead. What part of this face are we? What is our place in the world? This image is made up of 7 thousand typical people reflecting the planet’s diverse population and was made by DuPont. I love the nose, it’s definitely not a Hollywood nose.

We are close to the three million milestone on this blog and I leave the US with a 55% American audience base of daily viewers. In my heart, I feel 55% American this year, as voted democratically by you all, yet when your number’s up, perhaps the world indicates you are needed elsewhere. I feel both gutted and excited, all in one! :)

BUNNY TEETH, BEE STUNG LIPS, TATTOOED SEXY HOLLYWOOD DENIM BILLBOARDS AND HAVING THE MOST AMAZING FAMILY EVER -2.9.11
This is the first billboard you’ll see when you leave my front door. Just a little bit sexy, no? It defines LA’s obsession with denim.
After photographing this picture of the Hollywood skyline, I get a coffee and enjoy the morning sun. I begin to think family and ‘family projects.’ I am thankful that I have such an amazing family I would love to do ‘family projects’ with.
They are sexy in different ways I think sitting opposite this billboard in warm, California winter’s sunlight. They care about education in their communities with higher education based on knowledge in practical skills, equipping others with encouragement and helping others get ahead. In their communities, they are coaches saying “yes, you can do it.”
Their emails remind me that family and real family entertainment are perhaps the greatest themes Hollywood could ever produce of all.

According to my calculations via the Jewish calendar, we are fast approaching the 2.95 million milestone on Horiwood.Com.
Okay, I was joking about the Jewish calendar calculations, but blog stat calculations reveal that at midnight tonight Hollywood’s first website created by a Maori-Kiwi, will hit the 2.95 million benchmark.

Tonight was kinda scary. I went out because it is Waitangi Day, a historic day we celebrate in New Zealand and that’s a big day for Kiwis.

MAKING HOLLYWOOD BLOG HISTORY TOGETHER – HORIWOOD.COM REACHES THE 2.9 MILLION MILESTONE IN HOLLYWOOD
A few days ago, we reached the 2.9 million benchmark on Horiwood.Com. This is the first time in Hollywood history and New Zealand history too, that an entertainment media website has ever reached this small feat. For that, I have to thank you all the world wide audience. At the time of blogging, we’re heading into Oscars season and it seems to be Natalie Portman‘s Oscars moment, so let’s celebrate with these thoughts in Hebrew, Te Reo Rangatira and English as a symbolic thank you for many more achievements ahead together, from an Industry Town, we all share culture from in The City of Angels.
