HANNAH TAMAKI MEETS HER HOLLYWOOD MAORI SAMUEL
I said, “I’ll be your Hollywood Clerk Kent, aye? If you’ll be my Maori Marilyn.
She said, “Love it. Let’s take the photo.”
Hannah Tamaki is currently under a media ban.
Why? No one knows. I heard her speak. I like her a lot. A very gracious lady. If you’ve had the chance to hear Hana speak, you will be left saying… give this lady whatever her heart desires, because she has a good heart.
Here’s that photo of when we met recently after 21 years of first meeting.
She’s a platinum Maori gem – Wahine Toa. Hannah Tamaki keeps getting betting with time.

This just in via two emails from my sister in New Zealand, Sharon (The ‘Mother Teresa’ Rose of Maoridom):
“Kia ora scrumtious muffins, It’s very sad when someone beautiful leaves this world….you realise how precious and necessary they were to your life, the life of others, the fabulousness of the world…..every life has a testimony…we often don’t see this until after people have left us…watch, wait and see what Aunty Elvira’s legacy will be…what life and beauty did she leave behind.”
And…Maoris and Kiwis in Israel News: “Caught up with Mum last night. She is flying on Korean airlines to Israel at 9:10am. She was extremely excited. This trip to the holy land is most definitley one of her dreams that I remember as a child. I remember when Louis Henry Davis [her hubby] went to Israel and he talked to me about being in the garden of Gethsemene (where he picked me leaves from the olive tree and snuck them to NZ… my family are a little bit rebel!) and being on a boat on the sea of Galillee when the wind picked up, visiting the home of Simon the tanner, standing in the tomb where they think Jesus was laid, doing karakia [Maori prayers] at the wailing wall in Jerusalem and being baptised in the river Jordan….and the meaningfulness of those stories…..Mum is just gonna love it…remember to pray for her safety and well being.”

Beyonce grew up in Destiny‘s Child, the biggest selling all girl group on the planet. But long before Beyonce ‘borrowed’ from The World of Suzie Wong: The Movie fashion styling to tour the world, there were All American Girl Bands who worked hard without as much recognition and who paved the way.
The Go-Go‘s are an all girl band that define the Californian story and lifestyle. Four girls came from four different states across the USA, to Los Angeles to enjoy the surf n sun.

I like hunting, fishing, old school tap dancing (Brat Pack, Sammy Davis Jr. stylez), the concept of holidaying in Samoa to support the Samoan Islands economy (especially for Samoan children getting educated better). In Samoa, I’d listen to Destiny’s Child‘s Soldier song on iPod & of course I’d be found drinking Ice Cold Agave Papaya Feijoa Martinis on the Island beaches near Sava’ii. And… after watching Sione’s Wedding 1 and anything in black velvet filmed by Sima Urale‘s camera-bolo eye – I’d also think while basking in the sun under Samoa skies that who doesn’t love Hana Tamaki‘s spirit of visionary achievement for real New Zealand communities and her vivacious blonde yet au naturale Maori boobiez?!
Hana is New Zealand’s very own living Maori Golden Globes Award show of goodness and light…. just every day!
Even Stevie Wonder would love everything about Hannah Tamaki & her whanau & tribe. They’re very Martin Luther King Jr with what they achieve every moment of the day in commmunties where most needed. I guess full appreciation will come years down the track for Hana and family… when Diamond Tamaki stops showing off with her kohanga reo learned, kite-making skills and grows up to either be an Oscar winning movie producer or the Prime Minister of Oceania or something tino Tainui flash like that! All things are possible!
