iSTOCK STOCK MARKET SHARKS – TIPS FOR YOUTH TO JOIN IN THE STOCK MARKET 2013
In nations that pay people wages of US$36k or less (NZ is one of those nations)… if young people want to get ahead… they need to do what the old rich folks are doing.
Or you can make gains on the stock market. Yet it can be risky terrain. The older sharks have the tip offs, often long before the younger sharks do, so shark chomping is the game.
Yet for some young people… the markets of NZ are seen as okay to invest in for a start. Milford Asset Management writes an article to entice, incite, encourage young investors to ‘give it a go.’ Here’s those thoughts.
*You should always have a diversified share portfolio.
*The stock market isn’t a gamble as long as you pick good companies that will do well over the longer term.
*Good companies usually increase their dividends every year.
*You have to research a company before you invest. (more…)

PASSIONFRUIT PAVLOVA @ THE PIRATE’S CAFE 2013
what to do with readers words like: “pirates. parrots. paradise. pavlova. gold teeth grins.”
I am eating pavolova for breakfast. How Kiwi naughty. I am over pirates politics and the greed in real time. Can’t do another year of reading news about it. Done. The parrots at dad’s place, continue to nip the apples from the trees. They do nothing with their sabotage games. Wasteful, they just love to watch the apples fall. Dad’s winnng, he’s developed ways so that the apples win in a year of plentiful harvest on dad’s trees. Good on him. (more…)

CHERRY PICKING – WHERE WENDYL NISSEN GETS HER CHERRIES, WHEN NOT FAMILY BAKING
Cherry Season in New Zealand:
Writes Wendyl Nissen: “My preference for Christmas cherries would always be a box of fresh ones from Central Otago, but I’m not sure how they would go in baking. So if you need to resort to a glace cherry for your Christmas cake, white Christmas or cocktail go for the Homebrand because they have more cherry per packet, less sugar and no artificial flavours or colours.
I totally forgot central Otago has fresh cherries until Wendyl shared that. Pays to read the newspaper. Always so good in New Zealand.

WINNING COMBOS OF HAPPINESS: USA’s GRAIN PANCAKES & NEW ZEALAND’S GOLDEN BUTTER
Winning Combos: Right now I’m thinking of… best American pancakes + New Zealand butter (the best in the world!).
You can always work on making the USA know happiness more. That was one such thought. For free. :)
Photo: The Farm of Beverly Hills does the best buttermilk grain pancakes, just opposite the Apple store and beside the fun movie theater at The Grove. It’s a place I would go to that always kept me sane in Hollywood. :)

We also need a good rib house road house in NZ. My fav in LA was always: Wood Ranch BBQ and Grill. Yeah! The Grove is where all of LA celebrity families go and shop. It’s a community village for sure.
