“Hollywood ugg boots” photos is one of the requests of the day via search engines. As is: “maori sports stars” and “bad mood in Saudi,” “beyonce sightings november 2012″ and “funny signs pics” to name a few of 5,000.
When I think of ”Hollywood ugg boots” I think of Heather Locklear or Britney Spears running their errands in uggs. It’s sorta that art of white Americana trailer trash, yet not white trash, just Hollywood. It’s always better when a Hollywood mom rocks out in Uggs. BRITNEY SPEARS STARTS JUDGES ROLE ON “X FACTOR” USA
“So excited to be going to Austin this week for @TheXFactorUSA auditions! Will I see any of y’all there on Thurs or Fri? (sic)”–Britney Spears tweeted earlier in the week.
Boston.Com seems to like the fact that Britney is speaking her mind. She is Britney! “I feel like your song was just in the wrong key,” Spears told a contestant Friday, adding that choosing a different song would have been “more interesting.” To another contestant Spears said: “Your voice is really sweet, but I feel like you need a little more training.”
Spears, 30, was brought in to help boost ratings for “The X Factor” after the American Idol and The Voice talent show rival did not do as well as show’s producer Simon Cowell had planned. Cowell turned to Spears, the former child performer to boost ratings. Brit Brit became an international star with her 1999 debut album. More here.

US BILLIONAIRES BILL & CAROL FOLEY WANT TO BE WINE NEW ZEALAND WITH A BIGGER LAND FOOTPRINT

In news that’s stirring up the waters for wine growers’ circles of New Zealand, US billionaires Bill and Carol Foley (no relation to Eddie Murphy) have hopes of turning water into wine from New Zealand in a bigger way.
In today’s Kiwi newspaper, “An American billionaire has signalled his intention to buy an NZX-listed wine company as part of a huge expansion in New Zealand.
Bill Foley, who already owns a large Wairarapa estate (a rural province where Sir Peter Jackson and friends live), wants to buy The New Zealand Wine Company, spelt out in an announcement made this morning in an agreement with the Australian bank, ANZ National Bank that has advised NZWC to sell.
After trade investors were targeted, the merging of NZWC with the Foley Family Wines New Zealand wine business was the conclusion ANZ bankers advised. Foley has already talked to Wine Spectator about the deal.
The article said: “In New Zealand, Foley is putting the finishing touches on merging his firm there, which includes the brands Goldwater and Clifford Bay, with the New Zealand Wine Company.
If the New Zealand government says “yes” (and why wouldn’t it, as this NZ government is intent on selling almost everything), the deal will put 80% of the combined, $46.5 million company in Foley’s hands. New Zealand Wine Company owns 250 acres in Marlborough, mostly Sauvignon Blanc, and produces 300,000 cases a year. The merger will double Foley’s volume in New Zealand.
The report also notes: ‘New Zealand Wine Company has suffered extensive losses in the past year, evidence, some analysts say, that there is a glut of wine being made in the country.’
Obviously, a better distribution network is needed to distribute the wine abroad if there is a ‘percieved glut’ of wine in the market, causing ‘extensive losses.’ China’s middle classes are singing out for quality wines by the boatloads. I lived in Hollywood through the years where a popular pop star like Britney Spears was successful enough to have laws passed against paparazzi who were invading her ‘personal physical space’ too much on the streets of L.A while she was going about her own life.
So, I tend to agree with politicians Metiria Turei and Tariana Turia of New Zealand, in response to the New Zealand governments’ advice to teenaged girls on welfare benefits (in an environment where there are so few jobs) to ‘take up the Government’s offer for free long-acting contraception (that can be removed at a later date).’
The suggestion by the government has been described as ‘coercion’ as Government social workers appear to now be the middle-people onselling medical products for pharmaceutical suppliers, a domain that doctors are more heavily involved in – not social workers.
Metiria Turei simply does a Britney by saying, “The Government has no right to intrude on a woman’s choice to have a child. It should get its hands off our wombs.” She takes the ‘personal space’ approach on the issue of a woman’s sovereignty to choose.
Maori politician Tariana Turia expressed her view this way, “I’ve always supported the growing of our population, the growing of our hapu and iwi and so I’m certainly not one who’s ever believed that we should be controlling people’s feritility.”
Political activist, Sue Bradford said in a news soundbite on New Zealand news shows last night, the move is “bordering going down the path of social engineering by the government.” Sue’s belief is that the New Zealand people don’t want this at the womb stage of New Zealand citizens.
A friend’s view on the topic was “it’s very controversial isn’t it?” Some critics say, “letting girls know there’s more to life than having children,’ is a view being presented here – a good thing. So let’s just perhaps leave it at that so that healthy debate can continue on this issue.
There are many people in the world who were born to teenaged parents. One was Oprah for example. A well-known face of entertainment and humanitarian well being, her birth was not planned. There are countless other examples of world leaders born to teen parent mothers too and single parents. So, there needs to be a balance here in all of this “common sense” subliminal brain-washing stuff, being dolled out as ‘we strongly recommend’ near-law rhetoric.
Democracy is about presenting choice. Perhaps why this topic is a good one as an early Mother’s Day gift, heading into Mother’s Day weekend in New Zealand (we are such a culturally sensitive bunch in NZ aren’t we, valuing all of our mothers equally?!).

According to The Times of India, Britney Spears has turned down the $10 million offer to be a judge of the USA’s version of the X-Factor‘s reality TV show.
Having moved $1.3 billion worth of product in just her signature fragrances sales alone… that sounds fair enough.
Is Spears in the early stages of planning another tour? With her wide appeal, usually, Brit Brit tours in election year in the USA.
Clearly though, Spears is not experiencing downturn blues predictions in her own economy.

A TOOTH EXTRACTED AFTER AMERICA
In America, the Kiwi selected an American dentist of Russian-Jewish lineage on Wilshire Blvd who had medical practices in Los Angeles and San Francisco. After America, he went to Dominion Road Dental to get a tooth extracted. The experience took all of twelve minutes.
Post the act, he was informed that the tooth’s root structure was unusual as “both roots had fused together to become one.”
“You would think that in the land of big white teeth your American bosses dental plans would have taken better care of that, especially after five years there. That’s a real shame,” was all that Roger The Dentist said pontificating and weighing the situation gravely with a tone of deep concern. No matter what ethnicity a person is, it’s a strange fact that peoples teeth are white angel messangers, that do not lie. Roger had been in the tooth extraction business surveying teeth as a science with his own practice for over thirty years.
“So… no tom yum soup for a day, then?” was his chipper and kurt questioning reply.
“That’s right Sam. No tom yum soup ’til tomorrow” is what Maria, the sweet middle-aged, Kiwi-Chinese dental assistant said handing him the sealed tooth rectangular packet with a humble, warm and attentive smile. He could see the root structural form resembled a very sharp and all too white stake.
Numbed from a clinical needle, all that was going through his head were crazy Britney Spears songs from her Los Angeles penned era as the comeback kid of American pop music.
To even be alive to have a tooth extracted was a blessing in disguise behind his Maori Kiwi smile of gratitude.

MY POST-ELECTION DAY HANGOVER
For some weird reasons I woke up, with that kermit the frog Bret McKenzie music video on my brain.
You know, the one where Bret’s on a white piano like Elton John, but Bret’s wearing a blue suit and trying hard not to play the black keys just the white ones, and wearing a black tie. (just kidding!)
And kermit is green, of course. A green puppet. In the music video, I can’t understand why kermit is dry though. He should be baptized in a waananga of learning, in Whanganui river or something, so he can learn something about water. Oh well, I guess he can learn to paddle in a kayak or something, while parroting his new lines. Dry.
Weird hangover dream! It even had a Maori acrobat in the dream too, standing next to the frog to give the frog more credibility. Wow! Who would have thought?! Kermie and the acrobat, do go well with Bret McKenzie’s rising star though. So, I could see how they made it to be cast in the weird creative crazy dream.
Love it! Only in New Zealand do you have dreams like this. :)

JUDGE MARYANN SUMI IS A WISCONSIN UNIONIST’S HERO RIGHT NOW, WHERE DOES THIS LEAVE SCOTT WALKER FOR HIS FRIENDS? -3.29.11

He wants to throw the average worker of his State, under the bus, to balance the depleted books he inherited in budget short falls. He's caught in a cross-fire that's an economic fire. His name is Gov. Scott Walker. Is he doing the right thing, or, openly selling out his State's workers too cheaply - Associated Press]
The Associated Press report today, that a little judge, on tour, has put her foot down to temporarily halt of the bill that aims to dismantle unions negotiation power with average American workers. The bill (favored by Republicans and backed heavily by The Koch Brothers) openly aims to strip American workers of labor laws rights, lowering wages of average people in Wisconsin.
One judge says, hold that thought. For now. Her name is Maryann Sumi. Let’s see how she rolls. Read up.
MADISON, Wis. — A Wisconsin judge for the second time directed the state to put on hold an explosive law that strips most public workers of nearly all their union bargaining rights, ordering officials on Tuesday to follow her original instructions to stand down.
“Apparently that language was either misunderstood or ignored, but what I said was the further implementation of (the law) was enjoined,” said a visibly annoyed Dane County Circuit Judge Maryann Sumi. “That is what I now want to make crystal clear.”
Earlier this month, Sumi issued an emergency injunction prohibiting the Wisconsin secretary of state from formally publishing the law – the final step before it could take effect.”
I like Sumi’s stance on the issue. Communities are about people sharing resources to stay strong. When 10% of a nation keep pushing to erode more from the majority of Americans, this is unwise, it’s a recipe for civil war in the future and an uprising of injustice here in the USA, if the greedy, like The Koch’s don’t curb their greed.
Then on the other hand, China, who bypasses a Judge Sumi view, continue to underpay people thus holding (allegedly) a no.1 spot on a global stage of the world economy by doing exactly what the Koch brothers hope to achieve. Busting Wisconsins Unions. Where is the parity in the middle between China’s elite’s politics and American’s richest families – on this one issue of ‘scrapping over lowering labor’s worth’ in Wisconsin?
That’s what this news show is all about really. You can’t help but feel for all, in this raging debate in Wisconsin. I mean Wisconsin are good people. Wisconsin burgers are a hit in Auckland City. Wisconsin has a globally tested culture, people appreciate and support. Doesn’t Scott see this? Just recover the losses a bit slower over recouping strategies with a strategic interest, not a total stripping of man power. Woman power too.
