BUILD UP: ROMNEY OBAMA DEBATE – HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY HEMPSTEAD NEW YORK – OCTOBER 2012

Very soon, Mitt Romney and Barack Obama are debating in Hofstra University, Hempstead New York.
As a build up to the moment, broadcaster Peter Williams featured ABC’s TJ Winick and BBC’s Mark Mardell‘s news coverage.
“I am exhausted of defending you,” said a middle-class American momma to Mr Obama in a news clip as a part of wind up, build up debate prelude.
Another comment was made of the Ohio car company who kept going during the recession and miraculously survived, where the car company said “People should take more responsibility for their own lives rather than expect government to look after them from the cradle to the grave.” So in other words, you need a third party in the US system of politics who only exists to create jobs, than that view in the US is realistic, if the wealthy are not – and are content to be living off the wall.
I liked all the prelude comments. Sound stuff.
Both stories focus on Mr Romney keeping Mr Obama honest noting how as Mitt is polling okay. If Obama doesn’t shake his tail feathers this round of blah blah, he may as well get his writers working on a new book now in order to be at-the-ready for day after - come election time. (Oops, harsh).
The media note though, as a newbie – holding his own, Romney has made leaps and bounds on the campaign trail.
ABC7 covers the news here. The live blog of the debate at Hofstra University, Hempstead New York, is happening here.
At the hub – what’s up?: More at that soon.
