VALERIE ADAMS WINS SILVER MEDAL SHOT PUT – LONDON OLYMPICS 2012 – WOOT!
Congratulations to Valerie Adams. A silver medal in shot put today at London Olympics.
TVNZ reports, “The New Zealanders best throw was a commendable 20.70m on her third throw but was well short of what was achieved by her great Belarusian rival Nadzeya Ostapchuk, who consistently threw over 21m, with a best of 21.36m, to win the gold medal.
Adams had three no-throws but did enough to win silver. Evgeniia Kolodko of Russia won bronze with a throw of 20.48m.
Val is viewed as a young thrower by experts in the sport that say she has a strong career ahead of her.
Awesome! We are so proud of Valerie Adams. :)
