SHOULD VIRIGINIA GOV. BOB McDONNELL ADD HIS CATHOLIC BLING TO MITT ROMNEY’S MORMON PACKAGING POLITICAL MIX?

As the world of news spins: CNN President Resigns… in the USA. And in US politics news: Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell emerges as top contender to roll out with Mitt Romney‘s Presidential campaign.

Washington Times journalist Ralph Z. Hallow notes: “While Mr. Romney has revealed little about his vice-presidential search, Mr. McDonnell, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio are widely seen as reliable economic and social conservatives at a time when the party faces the possibility of factional divisions heading into next month’s convention in Tampa, Fla.

The Virginia governor, experienced analysts note, is a staunchly pro-life Catholic with a fiscally conservative reputation and no known opposition among evangelicals, whose votes have been vital to GOP electoral success and many of whom are skeptical about Mr. Romney’s Mormon religion.”

As there’s one billion Cathloics in the world and the number of Mormons number 15 million – that’s smart political picking on Mitt’s part. On ya!

So the question is: Should Gov. McDonnell add his Catholic bling to Romney’s Mormon packaging mix of politics? Atheists, scientists and social engineers in the US would say, hell yeah! It would take a Catholic friendly US government to increase chances of paying down debt in the years ahead of the USA. There’s also 350 million Chinese Christians too alone, in the secret, closeted churches (they’re still  officially illegal) of China.
