LOS ANGELES TRIP GETAWAYS: PAUL J. GETTY MUSEUM & BRENTWOOD VILLAGE COMMUNITY LIFE
Q. If planning on visiting Los Angeles, where should I be based to see celebrity stuff? What chance do I have of seeing Angeleno Jolie?
A. You’re more likely to see her family in The Vallley than AJ herself. For somewhere to stay, try the Angeleno. It is very cheap. Good quality, cheap. Kiwi friends have stayed here on trips to LA. It’s also close to The Getty families’ largest private collection of art in the world. One of my favorite art collections on display with incredible wine and music festivals occurring in weekends on the sprawling Getty Estate lawns set against a backdrop of stunning cityscape views. Too much fun. Click on pics to go there.
New Zealand’s high commissioner in Los Angeles was based in Brentwood. Their work has included extensive relationship building with New Zealand and Oregon from Los Angeles. Perhaps because of this fact, if you’re a Kiwi, Brentwood always feels very Kiwi hood.
Brentwood village is closeby. Many celebrities with young families live in this village. Very safe. If you’re a Kiwi it’s like Titirangi.
Brentwood is close to the 405. If you go to your left, you’re in the Valley. If you go right you’ll hit Hollywood. The Getty is about 1 mile left.
