AMERICAN ART: I AM GOLD ON A BLACK TORSO

I love this art piece featured at the Brewery Art Walk artists exhibition of LA by an exhibiting sculptor nearing 70 years-of-age. It’s simple and yet deep in that Andy Warhol pop commentary way. The gold on the black torso is Assyrian figuerines cast in gold. It is a part of the Art of Chess series, created by one of these artists. Flip the hood to see whose exhibiting.
