JESSICA ALBA IS SARTANA
Chasing down a man with a machete, is such a Tongan storyline. Malo lelei Tonga!
Anyway, Jessica Alba is one such heroine, who is a secret agent tracking down Machete wielding villain, Danny Trejo, to bring Latina justice (a la Sonia Sotomayer) in Robert Rodriguez‘s new film Machete.
My thoughts on this concept are two things: 1. Can Jessica Alba pose any more like Angelina Jolie in ‘Wanted‘ as is possible for a Hollywood action actress other than Megan Fox? No! She’s nailed it.
2. Could Robert Rodriguez, be any more “let’s do Quentin Tarantino‘s Kill Bill movie concept, but wait… let’s switch out the samurai sword with a machete” No! But Rodriguez and Tarantino are one and the same person, really.
Oh Hollywood. Please get a bit more creative.
The good news is, Lindsay Lohan makes an appearance in the film returning to her first love, acting, and its nice to see Alba go back to her action kick ass roots, which is how she first came to the world’s attention in the Dark Angel TV series by James Cameron.
That was such a good series. The Dark Angel should be a film in 2011, about… wait… instead of robot enhanced humans fighting bad robots… it’s about robot enhanced humans fighting…bad aliens and bad humans (because there are good aliens too).
Ka Ching! I just made James Cameron $200 million at the box office, if he reads this. :)
Gosh, that was a cluster-fudge line up of Hollywood names. Go Rodriguez and Alba! Anyway, if you are smitten with Alba’s Jolie pose and want to read more in that veign, go here to this article, “She Bangs!” from the Examiner.
