WASHINGTON’S DELIGHT: NATALIE PORTMAN TEAMS UP WITH JAMES FRANCO IN “YOUR HIGHNESS”

They are two of Young Hollywood’s smarter, globally conscious thinking actors. Both Natalie Portman and James Franco were invited by Barack Obama to The White House Correspondents Dinner in DC. According to reports, they’re now teaming up in upcoming film Your Highness. Washington will be very happy about that!

Miss Portman joins James Franco and Danny McBride in the film which is comedy for Universal, that director David Gordon Green plans to shoot in summer in the beautiful countryside of Northern Ireland.

Your Highness” is penned by Ben Best and McBride. The love story is about an arrogant, lazy prince (played by McBride) who must go on an epic quest to save his dad’s kingdom. McBride’s older heoric bro is played by the studious Franco. Of course, Natalie Portman will play McBride’s love interest, a warrior princess who inspires the quest. But we all know that when the cameras stop rolling it will be Franco and Portman that will be rocking out to Irish pubs to eat hearty Irish stew and throw back a pint of Guiness with dinner.

Scott Stuber will produce the film. Portman is shooting Hesher at the moment; an indie drama that marks her inaugural entry into the movie producing world with Handsomecharlie Films. Portman is not a Washington pin up girl for nothing. She’s smart. Natalie will next star in “Brothers” with Jake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maguire.
